It's really disappointing that I've had such a negative experience with Punjab Locksmith because I don't like leaving bad reviews.
I got locked out of my apartment, and they sent a technician who drilled out my lock and replaced my door handle. Before he started the work, I was quoted approximately $425. While I already felt that price was extremely high, I agreed because I had no other option.
Once the work was finished, he presented me with a final bill of $891. When I asked how the price had nearly doubled, he gave a vague explanation about the doorknob. I told him I didn't understand how it had gone from the quoted amount to almost $900, and that it was a lot of money. His response was simply, "It is what it is."
He then told me he would remain at my door until he received confirmation that I had sent the e-transfer. For context, I'm a young woman who lives alone, and this happened at around 11:30 p.m. I didn't feel comfortable arguing about the price in that situation and felt completely taken advantage of while I was in a vulnerable position.
The following morning, I called the company and spoke with a supervisor, who said he needed a day to look into what happened and would call me back. It's now been two days, and I haven't received any follow-up. I've also tried calling the company multiple times, but no one answers.
If you're considering using this locksmith, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. My experience left me feeling misled by the pricing, pressured into paying far more than I was quoted, and completely ignored when I tried to resolve the issue afterward. read more
