As with the previous review, this is a recently opened Indian and South Asian Grocery Store that replaced an previous Indian Grocery store in the same plaza. It's nestled in the corner of the plaza and much of the space can only be viewed by walking over. It's very likely you could miss it while driving but FYI it's adjacent to the car wash, in the plaza where the Roch. Hills Post Office and the plaza itself is literally right across from the Chipotle adjacent to Barclay Circle. They claim to be one of the largest if not the largest Indian grocery store in the state. I'm not sure about rankings but it definitely is a large space that I didn't explore entirely my first time there. In many regards, it's a typical Ethnic foods grocery store and a typical Indian one at that. Some goods are especially cheap. In this case, I'm talking about 'Mothers' Indian masala mixes which basically do all the spice work for you whether you're Indian and just don't have the time to make the masala for Chicken Tikka Masala or whether you're not South Asian, you're intrigued by the exotic grocery store, and you're inclined to try new things and get an inkling of other cultures. $1.49 per mix and they're better than Shan and other brands in that those you would have to further experiment with proportions but with Mother, literally follow the directions and you won't have to do any other extra work. The masala is in the form of a paste so if you were having doubts, it's not a powder. Apart from my experience, there's nothing too much out of ordinary esp if you're Indian, Pakistani, or any other South Asian. Mostly Indian imported snacks and other products. You have a small section where they have fresh savory snacks like Samosas and Chaat and desserts like Jalebi and Kaju Katli. There are fresh vegetables, some tailored for Indian cuisine and others generally like any other American grocery store. I'm not sure but there's also most likely a Bollywood movie playing on a small screen tv and Bollywood/South Indian/North Indian movies for rental or purchase as well. Whatever your background is, it's worth checking a place like this especially if the store has something you desire that can't be found elsewhere!

Recently opened replacing another Indian grocery store in approximately the same location. Much larger store, lots of choices, more fresh selections of vegetables fruits & groceries and a bit of carry out snacks also. The new owners are very accommodating and listen to suggestions - which they fulfill! have visited it often (about last 6 times in the past few months). Recommended.

I have been checking out all of the farmers' markets in the SE Michigan area this summer, and while Eastern Market will always be the best, I am thoroughly impressed with the Rochester Farmers' Market! It definitely exceeded my expectations & I'm kicking myself for only now realizing what a gem I have in my own backyard! There are an impressive number of vendors every single time you go. I wasn't expecting nearly this many, and I like that it's almost an equal blend of regular vendors & rotating vendors! The farmers' market is located in just a standard size parking lot, but it still contains enough room for a vast selection of vendors, and probably most importantly several produce vendors. Competition is healthy, especially when it comes to veggies & fruits I believe, because it doesn't allow any one vendor to create a monopoly over it. My pro tip is to always do a lap throughout the entire market first to scope out what vendors are here and selling what produce at what prices before you start buying! Additionally, a big pro tip especially for Rochester Farmers' Market is to get there EARLY! This market closes at 1 pm, which I feel like is uniquely early, and that basically means that things sell out FAST, especially from one-off vendors. If you get there after 11, you can almost guarantee that some of the things you might've wanted to pick up will be sold out or slim pickings. Sometimes it's hard for me to wake up because all I want to do is sleep in at the start of the weekend, but it's worth it for this market! What makes the Rochester Farmers' Market extra special is that they allow dogs & they always have live music! It really puts you in a great mood & sets the tone for a wonderful Saturday morning outside, supporting hard working people & small businesses, interacting with just the loveliest vendors around, and getting to dog watch all the cute dogs that come through. Vibes all around :)

They are super patient and can make the food right on the spot. Food/price: The food is pretty good for the quantity and quality. The price did go up from the previous menu but makes sense during these times. Last time I checked the kabob is 1.50 each for 10 of them (the deal was a little confusing for me so I did not look into it). I would have to say that you NEED to buy the hummus, garlic, and cucumber dip for the bread or you will miss out! Audience: The audience is good for families and they have an amazing catering option. Recommend/tips? I would recommend and try the mixed tray if you are confused.

They have a great menu of made to order hot items including kafta kabob and pita sandwiches. You can either call in your order and have it ready when you arrive or place your order at the back counter and shop while you wait. Everything from the grill/deli has been fresh, delicious and worthy of return visits. I recommend this place- yes. I wound up on this side of town and seen this market. It wasn't on Yelp so I quickly added it. I was hesitant to go in, as I wasn't sure what it had to offer. But my kids noted the pita bread sign in the window and we're set to get some, so I figured I'd go in and see they actually made fresh pita on site. Sure enough they did! 5/$1 like they place I frequent near my house. The gentleman was pulling the hot pita bread out as I stood there and bagged up my pieces. They also had fresh made meat, spinach and cheese pies for only $1 each. What a deal! I grabbed 2 spinach and 2 meat to enjoy later at home. I walked over to the produce section and it was nicely organized. The fruits and veggies looked good and fairly priced from what I quickly looked at. I was happy to see my tiny lemons were plentiful and even a better deal then what I usually pay. They were 8/$1, my local place sells them 7/$1. The store was very large and similar to other Mediterranean markets. It was clean and organized, from the walk through I did that day. The 4 fresh made pies were delicious- I'd definitely buy them again! I had a bag full of goodies for only $5.60 and I was a happy customer. I'd definitely return if I ever end up near it again.
