Interesting Thai restaurant that's also a pub :) We went during lunch -- pretty packed during the work week. Good lunch menu w/ reasonable prices. Ordered the "Seafood Noodles" (£8) which had thin egg noodles, mussels, shrimp, calamari, fish cake, green/red peppers, carrots, onions and green beans. Surprisingly very spicy. Good portion, food tasted ok. Looking at the other reviews, I can't tell if I'm more critical or just spoiled with better Thai food in the US :) Still great to have a Thai option in the area. read more

This is a wonderful little gem we found while staying at our Airbnb just a 15 minute walk away. Was literally the best Thai food I have ever had. I had the Pad Thai and the chicken coconut soup. A bottle of red wine was £18.00, not too bad. They have a very nice bar as well and it was nice and busy when we arrived around 8:00 pm. Wonderful service! We plan on going back before heading back home to Texas! read more

Ah the Punch Bowl. It's one of the best places to eat in the area (granted the are very few options within walking distance but still). This pub is a proper old man's pub with quite a few regulars helping hold up the bar from lunch through to closing. It also is home to an excellent little Thai restaurant which has kept me fed through many a lunch away from home. The menu is fairly extensive given the size of the restaurant and you can have any dish with any of the meat options (chicken, pork, or beef) or just veggie. They will also tailor the spice to your preference although be careful about being cocky as they will burn you down if you are too boastful about your spice tolerance. Luckily, a cold cider from the bar will help with that :-P Overall, for the price (£5-6) and the quantity (enough to put you into a food coma) it's a great little lunch spot to rival a trip to M&S (if there was one). read more

I have been eating here for years. I make my hotel choices in the Heathrow airport area based around having an authentic Thai meal and a pint of London Pride. This pub "The Punch Bowl" has an authentic Thai restaurant in it!!! I know it's amazing and I swear it's like being back in Thailand the food is made fresh and it is really that good. The downsides are there are only a limited number of seats so I would phone ahead to avoid disappointment. read more

We stayed at the holiday inn across from this bar/restaurant. They serve fresh Thai food and surprisingly it was probably one of the better meals we had in UK. We ordered tom yum mushroom soup (hot and sour) tom kha gai (coconut milk with chicken) soup and pad Thai(stir fry rice noodle with veggies and chicken) they were all pretty authentic. The food came fast and service was friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. Ps we ordered everything very spicy but compare to Vancouver Thai this was a fair medium, perhaps British don't eat spicy foods. read more
