The driver drove skillfully backwards up my driveway to deliver a truckload of red cinders exactly where I needed it.

We must have come in a bad time on a Monday morning. Front desk clerk not helpful at all. We asked about different kinds of rocks to spread on our driveway and what would be his recommendations and he stated that he does not like giving recommendations because customers comes back complaining to him which is fair enough. However. he was in a bad mood altogether. His demeanor and manners and need to improve. Asking questions and for help was like pulling teeth. First impressions are long lasting as we're new in town. First time here and the attendant was nice and explained the process. Weigh your car first, wait for the beep then pack up your rocks, then get weighed again. We only needed a few rocks to make a rock border so we went to the self-fill spot. Yeah, self-fill, so make sure you have a heavy duty car, gloves and some muscles to carry the rocks into your vehicle. Bring a shovel if you intend on getting smaller rocks. We were able to only pack up .4tons and only paid $15, not bad at all. read more

The service up until the delivery was fine, and I could easily have given four or five stars if not for the delivery driver. I ordered two tons of topsoil. The delivery driver overfilling the load to 2.75 tons, of which the office called to let me know of the additional cost. I accepted the overage. The delivery driver dumped the soil where I wanted but left a considerable amount of dirt in the truck bed. When I asked him if he was going to rake out the rest of the soil, he said no. Without even looking into the truck bed, he insisted that there was not that much dirt left, but there was. He told me if I wanted that dirt, I would have to get it out myself. I am a 59-year-old woman, 5'3" tall, and recently finished breast cancer treatment. Yet, there I was trying to rake my dirt, the dirt I paid for, out of his truck bed because he was going to keep it otherwise. If I need any additional soil, I will pick it up myself and definitely NOT have it delivered. read more

My father-in-law went there to pickup some gravel and only had his debit card (its cash only) and the woman was so nice and let him get the gravel anyway and told him he could come back and pay. He really appreciated her kindness and did go back after taking the load home to Pahoa and being 'old school' he brought her flowers when he paid. The lady in the office was very rude and seemed annoyed by any simple questions. She gave sarcastic remarks from the start and wasn't helpful at all. She loved to interrupt my questions before I even finished them. I'm so upset with her "customer service". Other than that it's rocks... they sell them for a decent price.
