    I am a long-term CPAP user (30+ years) who recently sought a replacement machine through Medicare…read more I have serious concerns about the care I received from Dr. Rami Arfoosh and the subsequent referral process. Medicare requires documentation of ongoing medical necessity for CPAP replacement after five years, which often includes a new sleep study. However, the process with Dr. Arfoosh felt unnecessarily burdensome and disrespectful: Two scheduled appointments were canceled by the office with only minutes' notice. During my visit, communication was difficult due to a significant language barrier. When I politely raised this issue as it affected my ability to understand instructions and ask questions, Dr. Arfoosh responded by accusing me of racism. This was unprofessional and inappropriate. The office appeared primarily focused on generating billable services rather than addressing my needs efficiently as a long-established patient. After the required sleep study, I was referred to AdaptHealth for the new CPAP machine. AdaptHealth staff repeatedly requested personal and financial information, claiming it was mandatory under Medicare rules. When I initiated a three-way call with Medicare to verify, the AdaptHealth representative immediately admitted that the information was not required. This raised serious concerns about their practices and whether they were attempting to collect unnecessary data. As a Medicare beneficiary who has relied on CPAP therapy for decades, I expected competent, respectful, and transparent care. Instead, I experienced repeated scheduling failures, poor communication, defensive behavior, and what appeared to be coercive information-gathering by the DME supplier.

I ordered standard CPAP supplies from the CPAP Clinic on 8/21/2023. A full week later (8/28) Iris responded to my email to ask a question, which I answered promptly. radio silence for nearly two weeks, when I finally again emailed (9/10) and asked for an update on my order. I received NO response from Iris. I left her a voicemail that Tuesday (9/12) and received NO response. I tried to reach Iris twice again the next day (9/13) and kept getting her voicemail. Finally I just told the front desk it had been since 8/21 since I ordered these supplies and I was getting no response from Iris. They went and found her, she came to the phone. She told me the items I ordered "had been on back order". And should be arriving "tomorrow" so they would ship out then. That means they would be shipping out on Thursday 9/14. I live exactly 1.7 miles from their office. Even with the slowest shipping option available via FedEx, it would still reach me on Monday at the latest. Well, today was Monday 9/18. No package. I emailed this morning thru the portal and asked what the tracking number was. Low and behold, this afternoon, suddenly in the portal, all of my items are suddenly posted as "ordered" and "received" on 9/7(!!). Late this afternoon, I got an auto-email from Fedex that the supplies have finally been shipped and I'll receive Thursday (9/21). So that means this CPAP supply order took EXACTLY ONE MONTH to receive from when I ordered it. All without any proper communication from the CPAP clinic to tell me the items were on back order, or giving me a status update when it was taking so long, or giving me options to choose another type of mask that was not back ordered, etc. It isn't like I was ordering jellybeans. This is medical equipment that keeps me breathing when I sleep. When you order it, you *NEED* it. It is not a "want" - it is a medical necessity. But Iris and the CPAP Clinic clearly could not have cared less. Needless to say, I have already found a different DME provider for my next CPAP supply order.

He was diagnosed and treated by a very reputable Atlanta Gastroenterologist. He was not making much progress after several months and had to withdraw from school as he could not function well enough to attend a full-time schedule. It was in desperation that we consulted another physician, Paul Rabinowitz, MD with Atlanta Asthma and Allergy Consultants. Dr Rabinowitz is not only very personable, he takes his time and thoroughly Listens as he Relates exceedingly well to his patients; he practices Exceptional Patient Advocacy. He also is very familiar with EOE which is virtually unknown to many other MDs and up-to-now, has no Proven cure. After much prayer and following Dr Rabinowitz's protocol, my son is making Marked improvements. He is no longer nauseated and vomiting daily. He is Thriving physically and now has Hope! Today we are reducing the steroidal treatments and along with his Allergy shots, will eventually wean completely off treatments! Dr Rabinowitz is Refreshing and Thinks " Outside the Box". We will Forever be Grateful for as my son credits Dr Rabinowitz with " Giving Back his Life and Giving Us Hope!" What more could Any physician do for his/ her patient? We are Very... Very Appreciative to Dr Rabinowitz. If for Any reason you need an Allergist... we Highly recommend Dr Rabinowitz.
