I told the clinic "I'm making this appointment to get setup with meds for my narcolepsy since I'm down to my last 2 bottles of Wakix." They take me back. NP looks at my sleep study and says in the nice HR voice "this case is way too complex for me to handle so well just schedule you to meet the doctor." so I basically had to pay $130 for a 5 minute meeting with the NP to tell me "I can't handle this." This is exactly why I asked if they wanted me to have my previous clinic in FL to fax over everything. I'm only getting an additional appointment this time to see the MD instead of the NP. I'm hoping the MD actually helps me. Otherwise that's going to be nearly $200 wasted. I CAN NOT handle stimulants due to my previous medical history. I got the feeling the NP just wanted to throw Adderall at me to manage the symptoms but I might just be talking out of frustration here. Absolutely not impressed here. Hopefully the MD can help me.

We finally heard about her through word of mouth and she squeezed us in. She was able to diagnose and start treatment on our toddler that same day. She's Godsent. Her bedside manner and her ability to deal with kids is impeccable. She listens and really cares about her patients. I made 7 attempts to reschedule an appointment with Dr. Granada. In doing so, I routinely waited on hold for more than 25 minutes, only to receive unhelpful return calls from his office instructing me to call the office for an appointment...which started the process of waiting on hold and receiving an unhelpful return message all over again. After a week of attempt to reschedule the appointment Dr. Granada missed, I received a message that the doctor would be unavailable for appointments for the entire following week. This practice and this doctor do not have any care or concern for their patients at all. RUN!
