I would stay here again. No issues or complaints, and everything was addressed right away by courteous staff. We stayed for 4 nights and were definitely out for most of our stay, but the room was perfect to come back to-- not too crammed, and a decent sized bathroom. We enjoyed the "balcony," which was theoretically a balcony, but discriminated against all patio furniture and twirling about with your arms spread wide open. With that in mind, the hotel is perfect if you are a walking traveller; all of the tourist attractions I'd image you would go see are about a 20 minute walk from the hotel. I really enjoyed being in the spot we were at as it allowed us to check out surrounding Darlinghurst and nearby Kings Cross / Potts Point. We did not check out the hotel bar, but it looked like it kept fairly good crowds at night, nor did we check out either restaurant, although the menus were pretty tempting.
If you are a Le Club (Accor) member, WiFi is free, otherwise you will pay a daily rate for it. (I highly recommend signing up for a membership before your stay) The staff was able to dock the WiFi from our bill at check-out despite my membership ID not appearing on the check-in credentials.
We did have a very minor quirk in our bathroom where everytime sudsy body wash was used in the shower, some of it would come back up in the floor drain. Nothing a quick wipe-up wouldn't take care of in seconds and it didn't affect the comfort of our room at all. Shower was in fact one of the biggest as it doubled as a jaccuzzi (Maybe watch the bubble bath in there..?)
I would only point away those who travel to be dead center to everything touristy or must-see for the city, or those who dislike walking and public transportation (but then please, don't ever travel with me!) as it's a hike to get there. One of my favorite things about travelling to Sydney, though, was the walk I took every morning through Hyde Park (right across the street from the hotel) to all of the must-see spots-- which is why I'd book my (hopefully) next trip to Sydney at Pullman Hyde Park. read more
