In September 2020 I had a number of trees stressed and damaged by the summer storms in Southbury, CT. Juan Pulla came out right away and together we identified other trees that were dead or dying from the infestation of the ash borer beetle. In total we agreed on 15 trees that needed to come down. He said they could be done the same week on a Friday. The crews (he sent two full crews) arrived on time and went right to work. A number of the trees were in hard to reach areas too. They did a great job removing all the trees even cutting a couple of dead trees they saw that weren't on the original plan. After they finished and cleaned up you'd never know that they'd been here. Also, they took all the large tree trunks and dropped them off to a local friend's home so he could use them for fire wood. No extra charge. The charge for removing the trees was more than reasonable too. I'll certainly call Pulla Tree Services again if we ever need more trees removed. Update October 2020: Last week I discovered two more trees that were in danger of coming down and damaging my home. Juan came right out and gave me a very fair price to remove the trees. Since they were in my lawn he also agreed to grind the stumps too. We hired Pulla to remove a number of trees and prune around the perimeter of our property. Juan and his crew did a fantastic job! They showed up when they said they would. I noticed someone commented about the crew not being there. For 2 of the 3 days, I worked from home while his team was working on our property. During the middle of the day, I noticed that the crew was gone for a bit, but it was the same time each day (and around lunchtime). It seemed like a lunch break and was no detraction from the service they provided to us. They also stayed late each evening to finish up the work they set out to do and cleaned up nightly. They completed the job in the time they stated. They cleaned up well and repaired our lawn at the end of the job. They were courteous and Juan was very responsive and professional. Witnessing Pulla Tree Service fell our trees and cut them to length was captivating--each member of the team contributing to an incredibly smooth process. The skill with which climbers artfully "dismembered" large trees, section by section, carefully lowering each piece to the ground was mesmerizing. It is hard to imagine how any part of the operation could have been bettered. We were left with carefully arranged rounds for later splitting--all extraneous branches and debris beautifully cleaned up. When they had finished, it was tempting to get another batch of trees felled--just to be able to keep watching people practice an art that is out of reach for most of us. I used Pulla Tree Services for a very large job on my property in Westport, CT. This involved taking down three extremely large trees, several smaller trees, stump removal, chipping fifteen years of accumulated brush and branches and certain other items. I 'WILL' use these guys again. We had 5 trees removed with one hanging over a leach field. The crew came in and did a great job and did not drive any heavy equipment where it should not go.. They had the tools and skills to do the job right. The team was very safety conscious and used proper protection and tools at all times. I had a new fence put in and there were a series of large Boulders and tree stumps that needed to be removed to improve access to my property. The stumps and Boulders were difficult to access, but they removed them and graded the land quickly and professionally. Their prices were also very fair. I also had a large tree that was in need of cabling and other neglected trees which required pruning, so they did the additional work as a reasonable add on. Called this company on a Saturday at 4 pm because lightning hit a tree in my backyard. Juan was there with in hours and gave me great price to take down the tree.
