When I asked about it, the director explained that they keep the infants there because the classrooms are already cleaned for the day. This kind of practice shows a lack of proper supervision and neglect of the infants' basic needs, which goes against the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) standards. Babies need to be in a safe, stimulating environment--not restrained in strollers for long periods. It's unacceptable to charge $275 per week and provide such negligent care. Parents trust this center with their most precious little ones, and the children deserve much better attention and respect.

The curriculum is engaging and age-appropriate, helping the children build confidence, independence, and strong social skills while preparing them for kindergarten. We have seen tremendous growth in our 4-year-old academically, emotionally, and socially. What means the most to us is seeing how our older children continue to excel in their current schools as 'A' students who love reading and love learning -- and it all started at PPA. My oldest is currently in Kindergarten at a different school, but she gets picked up by the daycare's bus and joins her two younger siblings every afternoon. In all these years, I truly haven't had any serious issues. Any small concern I've ever had was addressed immediately, corrected, and never repeated. That says so much about the leadership and care they provide. My girls have learned so much here, they are even bilingual! The teachers are incredibly caring, attentive, and genuinely make you feel like family. You can feel that they truly love what they do. From the Owner, Mr. Rodolfo, to the Director, Ms. Aida, the leadership is hands-on, professional, and compassionate. I am so grateful we found this school. I highly recommend this daycare to any parent who wants their children to be in a safe, loving, and enriching environment. We headed into that classroom and the teacher was alone with six kids and a TV show playing. The kids were of all ages ranging from infant to six years old. (Mix of ages...odd) We walked in confused asking where their classrooms were and the lady said just drop them off in here I'm not sure where any of the teachers are they must be all running late...Very concerned and worried about our children's safety, another child decides to open the side door, attempting to leave the building and the teacher ran after her with an infant in her hand. Finally the room was filled with 16 kids and one adult, carrying two infants in her hands. My husband was chasing after our son because he saw that he can open the side door and leave. Another teacher finally showed up and apologize for being late. Still, we were confused where the placement of our children would be since all age groups were stuck in one classroom. These ladies just kept saying everyone is late, I don't know what else to say but sorry? I understand they were apologetic but who is watching our children!? I was in shock. The woman carrying two infants in her hands said that she would be our daughter's teacher and to follow her to the classroom. She told me that she had no clue it was our daughters first day and that she wasn't prepared so she has to go find a crib and get it ready for our daughter's nap time. She kept saying don't blame me, talk to the owner!! Like what!? I feel like I'm in the twilight zone at this point. The whole situation from the ratio of the children per teacher and the lack of safety in this facility is alarming. A father and his son walked in from the back door, which was clearly unlocked meaning that any individual, including a gunman (god forbid), could walk in and harm the children. When the owner, Danielle, arrived finally, my husband and I greeted her with concern and she said everyone is late, if you're uncomfortable I don't know what to tell you. When, in fact, it most definitely is her problem when the ratio is off and they're mixing age groups packed in one room. Six year olds with infants is not OK. She was rude and condescending, and honestly had no care for the children's safety or our concern. From the start she was super rude and nonchalant about the chaos. I went to go register them at another preschool and headed back to pick them up. I walked in and the owner just stared at me with a smirk. I said I'm here to get my children. She rolled her eyes and said "I figured." I can't believe she has the audacity to speak to parents in this tone and manner. I went to go get my daughter and she was passed out on the swing? Not even a crib. An infant was shaking a formula bottle with milk splatting all over them; another one crawling to get out of the door!!! Still just one teacher with all these infants. Another teacher walks in behind me with a pancake in her hand and picks up a baby. Wth is going on!? The owner went to go grab my son and dropped him off in the infant room while I was trying to grab my daughter and all her stuff. So again, allowing the mix of ages, she allowed my toddler son inside of the infant room and he's running around with his shoes on and babies crawling everywhere. Does she have no sense??? I can't believe a preschool like this is in Parkland. It's chaotic. No one knows where the teachers are. The kids are able to just walk through the side door and let themselves out. The ratio is RIDICULOUS. (The owner brought this up and said I'm not breaking any laws, our ratio is fine... lol) I would steer CLEAR of this madhouse.

Tina has always been professional, responsive, and thorough--especially when it comes to communication and documentation when needed. This is a KLA franchise location, and if you have heard about the wonderful KLA corporate locations in Miami - This. Is. Not. It. Within the first 5 months of school, 4 children were withdrawn from a class of approximately 10/12 because of issues with the school and staff, and I know many others wanted to but simply had no alternative childcare. I write this because I wish I was warned before enrolling my child. Big issues first: this school lacks security. We were assured someone would always be at the front desk, monitoring who came in and out, though consistently when I picked up my child, the door was locked but no one was at the front. This is an issue because anyone coming out can hold the door open for a "parent" waiting outside. I withdrew my son after grandma went to pick him up, was let in by a cleaning lady, and was not stopped or asked for her ID or who she was until she was almost out the door with my child. There's no communication with parents. We were promised weekly reports with pictures, and daily reports with diaper changes, etc, but I can count on one hand the times I received this in 6 months. The teachers and staff are not properly trained. My child choked and threw up as a result while eating his lunch and the assistant "director" did not deem this "important" enough to call me. Further, at the beginning of the school year, the Nido class only had one permanent teacher. The parents were assured that an assistant teacher would be hired "soon" but that did not happen until late December. Even though there was only one teacher, new students continued to be enrolled to the classroom every week, and depending on the number of students present that day, a substitute teacher from an agency would be called in to help. The parents never knew who was going to be watching their children - and very often when the permanent teacher called out sick, they were left at the care of substitutes that were not trained in the KLA method or knew anything about the school or the children. This is just a glimpse into the many problems we've had at KLA Fort Lauderdale. I hope something changes - the school does have great potential. But I was not willing to risk my child's well being until they got it together. Please take this for what it is: our experience in one classroom. But be cautious of overarching issues like security and training that need to be fixed ASAP.
