Such a lovely hookah bar with a super cute, cozy vibe. The flower decor and beautiful tea cups made the whole place feel really special and inviting. Our group included an autistic person, and the owner was incredibly kind and thoughtful by lowering the music to make us more comfortable. That level of consideration truly meant a lot to us. The hookah itself was very refreshing, and the flavor was absolutely amazing, smooth and well balanced. We had a great experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Just spent some time at Puff as a little friday night chill vibe! Good hookah and a really cute interior! We got Chai Haleeb, I would've loved it to be more spiced and less milky, but still good! Also would have loved to hear more middle eastern music, haha, but not an issue at all!

The vibe is very good. Very calm and chill. The music isn't overwhelmingly loud so you can actually talk and they play a wide array of genres as you enjoy your hookah. We ordered two chais and they were incredibly authentic and delicious! 20/10 recommend you get them when you come in. Everyone was so kind to us as we enjoyed our hookah. We spent close to two hours enjoying our hookah and we never felt them trying to push us out. They gave us fresh embers multiple times and checked on us. If you're looking for a nice vibe with good prices Puff is definitely a place you have to add onto your list!

Absolutely horrible experience - don't waste your time or money! Puff Hookah Lounge has been an absolute nightmare every time we've tried to go. Their hours are completely unreliable and constantly changing without notice. We checked Google before heading over (multiple times!), and it clearly said they were open. But when we got there - surprise - they were CLOSED. To make things worse, they never answer the phone, so there's no way to confirm anything. We paid for parking each time, only to walk up and find the place dark and locked. That's money and time down the drain, not to mention the frustration. One of the times we even went later just to be safe, and AGAIN it was closed despite their posted hours. This place clearly doesn't care about customer experience. I won't be wasting another dollar here - and I suggest you don't either. read more

Pretty pissed. Yelp has updated hours, stating this place opens at 7:30pm on Fridays. My partner & I arrived and they were closed. Of course annoyed because we drove a long ways, excited to try a new place. We called twice & waited around 15 minutes, leaving the option to go across the street to Figaro coffee. Shortly after ordering at 7:53, we noticed people opening the lounge. I walked up to express our frustration & the guy just hand gestures 5 minutes, not bothering to open the door to explain. A few minutes later the owner approached us at Figaro, explaining how a bad review hurts her business. She never approached the scenario from an apologetic view, not understanding from a customer's view that this could have been mitigated instantly with a different angle of customer service and humility who could have gained long-term customers given my boyfriend is an avid hookah consumer. It gave a bad first impression to a place we were looking forward to. Don't update hours on yelp just to not follow through in taking ownership, pointing the finger at a customer for giving chances and never saying sorry. We were shocked to say the least by her approach. read more

Atmosphere was by far one of the best in San Diego. Everything was up to date, recently remodeled. The music was great, the food was delicious, and the service was top notch. If you are looking for a go to chill spot for you and some friends, I definitely recommend Puff Hookah Lounge in Hillcrest. The hookah was flavorful and hit great. I've been to a lot of hookah lounges, from NYC to Bay Area, but this lounge is definitely in my top faves! It may be a new spot, but the service is top-tier here! The employees were super friendly and made sure to check in on us throughout the night, always changing the charcoal at the perfect time. The owner also did a beautiful job decorating the place, with creating four different aesthetics to get that perfect pic you're looking for. One of my favorite things especially about the lounge was how they mixed Arabic music with other genres! The hookah was great, and the Turkish tea and chai haleeb were yummy. It was the perfect vibe to chill with friends and talk for hours. If we could, we'd stay here all night (we ended up staying until close our first night here)! read more

Giving it 3 stars because the bathrooms are DISGUSTING. There's only 2 unisex bathrooms and they are often clogged up. If it isn't clogged up, there's no toilet paper or it's just trashed. Sometimes the door lock is broken too and won't lock properly. They have been doing some renovations to their furniture but not the bathroom. It's so gross. The specialty drinks are really good. Especially when the bartender Chase is there. My favorite is the Pink Lagoon. It'll sneak up on you because it is made with tequila. It's like an alcoholic pink drink with the coconut cream, guava and pineapple. Pricy with drinks averaging $15-20 and they have an automatic 18% surcharge on weekends (that is not tip). Food is great. Some of the best wings downtown. The lamb chops are really good too. I wouldn't get the wagyu sliders. It wasn't good. It tasted like an average slider advertised to be fancier since it's "Wagyu". I've had better sliders elsewhere for much cheaper. Save your $30. Parking here is horrible because it's in the heart of gaslamp. Horton plaza parking is probably your best bet if you can't find street parking.

They offer $7 draft beers, $9 wine, $10 mimosas, plus a handful of bites for $9. We started with the Fried Calamari Tentacles from the US Hour menu. They're served with Japanese mayo, although it tasted like there was some citrus mixed in because it had a nice tangy kick. Whatever it was, it worked really well with the crispy calamari. To drink, I ordered the Yuzu Matcha Mimosa. It had a really vibrant green color that almost reminded me of green juice. I actually enjoyed it. The matcha flavor came through without getting lost. My friend wasn't the biggest fan because they thought it leaned a little too bitter, so I think this one depends on how much you already enjoy matcha. For my entree, I ordered the Duck and Waffles ($24), which comes with crispy duck confit, a waffle, passionfruit guava sauce, and chili crunch. This was easily the highlight of the meal. The duck was cooked perfectly. It was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and seasoned just enough to let the meat shine. I also appreciated that the chili crunch actually had some heat instead of just being there for texture. The waffle was light and fluffy. I'm a sucker for sweet and savory combinations, so the powdered sugar paired with the rich duck was enough to win me over. The passionfruit guava sauce was the only part I wasn't completely sold on. It wasn't bad by any means. I just think it's one of those flavors that comes down to personal preference. We had the Beignets (5 for $12) to share, and I ordered the Curry Hamburg ($20), a Black Sesame Latte ($7) w/ a shot of Matcha (+$2), and a Matcha Yuzu Mimosa ($13) for myself. The beignets, perfectly shared between the 5 of us, were a bit too dense and possessed a weirdly hard outer crust. The matcha cream and black sesame mascarpone serving as dips made them a little more enjoyable. The black sesame latte was deliciously nutty, but the matcha shot at the $2 up charge was exorbitant. (Note: This is their only caffeine addition -- along with hojicha -- as they do not have an espresso machine). I was very disappointed in the Curry Hamburg, unfortunately. This was a failed attempt at omurice. The egg, while plentiful, was not even seasoned. Further, the equally unseasoned hamburger patty was very dry and the sauce over-salty. They should have distributed the salt and seasoning throughout the dish because it lacked serious balance. They just added beer and mimosas, so the Matcha Yuzu Mimosa, though overkill with the Matcha (and likely wasted), did ease the ache some. I made reservations online via OpenTable where I had to put a credit card down and agree to the seemingly shady policy regarding party changes within a 24 hour period. We were seated immediately, but they gave us a table with some weird wooden fold-up chairs. Our table was strangely the only one with these uncomfortable chairs. It was also excessively loud and we almost didn't learn the name of our server, who, by the way, was PHENOMENAL despite some of the disappointment with the food! Thank you (Mick) Jagger for taking care of us and getting our food out to us so quickly!
