This is a new store. They have most all items needed so I come here over Kroger. The prices are more but I think that they give you a better choice when buying meats. The staff is good and I just love how they bag everything for you. read more

I love Publix and this one is great! Sometimes the bagging isn't too great, but good deals and way better than Krogers down the street.

I don't normally shop at this Publix but I happened to be in the area. I ordered a sub that cost nearly $10 and was barely filled with toppings. The cooler was full so there's no reason to skimp on something I'm paying for especially when it's not an upcharge. read more

My trusted Publix. I enjoy shopping here because they often have what I want and whenever I can find something they are more than willing to help me find it at another store. They are more than awesome about the screaming 2 year old I have with me sometimes, but the reason why he screams is because they are so awesome and gives him free cookies. All in all not much more to ask for except some self check out lanes, but oh well. It's clean with a helpful and friendly staff. Between this place and Target I should just start paying rent. read more

Nice, clean, bright Publix store. Great selection of international and hard to find items. Prices are higher for basic groceries than the Ingles next door and beware the parking lot - it can get a little nuts! Service is "ok", not as friendly as the Publix in Lilburn, but no real complaints. read more

Sometimes the lines are long, but the store is extremely well kept. Most recently I experienced "the publix promise" and the staff gave me a free item simply for it now ringing up the correct price. I had never heard of this before! I contacted corporate to express my gratitude and they replied promptly with a snail mail letter. Over the past year, I find expired items about every other time I go to the Hugh Howell Publix, especially meats. The latest is on 11/1 there were Perdue chicken breasts which expired 10/26. This is mild. I've found Perdue shortcuts chicken expired over two weeks during the summer. I've bought expired California Pizza's, I've found expired Kraft cheese squares, Entemans pastries, etc. I don't think this is normal to find expired items so often; I am ready to travel up to Northlake to see how that Publix is. read more

As much as i love this store i hate to have to give this bad review. When i first got there the deli line had about 10 people waiting and the chicken line had 1.. Great!! I'm coming for those Mardi gras wings. When i got back in my big truck and made it to my destination i grabbed the first piece of chicken and took a bite and "crunch" went the skin... Ooh nice crunchy skin! Took the second bite and "crunch" went the meat........ Puzzled i stared at the little wing because something wasn't right. Meat is not supposed to crunch! These wings looked like whoever cooked them went on break while they were in the fryer then came back for them. They were waaay overcooked!! I had about 16 and probably 13 were overcooked and dry and sharp. I could barely tell the difference between the meat and the bone.This is by far the worst wings i have ever had at any publix. Did i eat them?? Hell yeh i ate them! I'm a truck driver we're trained how to tolerate nasty food. I would have taken them back if I wasn't on a schedule. If you still want to eat their wings i have two tips for you. 1) check them as they are putting them in there. And 2) make a dentist appointment after your done eating them because you may need one. Oh my God, You guys think your the best However..... You guys got me sick from a Pancake mix I bought not so long ago... The Pancake Turned out fine however, After when I ate it... I felt Queasy and kept constantly use the restroom. Sherry my good Comrade, Suffered the similar situation except She has tapeworms from one of you guys. I believe it was the Lamb Chops that was on Bargain bin. Seriously, What is wrong with you guys?? I prefer Wal-mart or even Target then this. Sherry suffered Tapeworms in your MEAT??? I, somehow suffered stomach cramps from Pancake mix because I read the instructions on your pancake recipe and I made it Vegan the Same Issue Occurs. Why is this happening to us? Seriously I don't know what to say "What were you guys doing when the Store Inspector of Health in GA came?" Tell me, Even Kroger, Ralphs, Trader Joe's, & Whole Foods never had this Issue. However, Publix you made both of us Sick from your Products! This is utterly ridiculous, treating us like dumb Customers. I'm Lucky that I didn't File a Lawsuit against you guys! read more

This is an overall decent Publix. It is very clean, organized and stocked with an expected selection of items typical of any Publix markets. I tend to shop at this Publix for the weekly BOGO items, however on THREE more recent separate occasions I purchased frozen pizza, ice-cream and frozen ethnic meal all which I got with the BOGO sale, and after preparing and eating all the items, I've became really ill. It was the ice-cream first, after eating one of the pint of ice-creams I became sick, about a week later I ate the second one and got sick again! At first I didn't think much of it, I figured maybe a store employee left the (ice-cream pints) out and it became spoiled and tried to refreeze it. Then I returned and purchased frozen meals under the BOGO sale, I prepared both them at once and prepared dinner for me and my guest, which (the next day) we each became sick after eating the meal. I thought about it, and figured that the frozen meals might have expired, I didn't check the expiration date on it before I purchased/cooked it (I accepted ownership of that). I returned to this Publix a few weeks later and purchased two pizza's under the BOGO sale, the expiration date was months away so I figured I would be safe with my buy...I was wrong! The day following me eating the pizza (cooked the same day I bought it) I became really ill once again!!! I just knew it was some form of food borne illness, I went in my fridge and examined the second pizza, I opened the box and smelled the pizza and got this horrible odor coming from the frozen pizza crust. I immediately trashed the second pizza. I really like Publix and this location is close to me and managed well but I can't rate it any higher than three stars due to my recent experiences with the frozen BOGO items from this store. read more

I went in on 4/10/12 and not only did they get my order of ballons wrong but actually tried to tell me that it was what I had ordered when in fact I had said no I do not want those colors they are to dark and do not go with the theme but they still went ahead and gave them to me and insisted that is what I ordered. I had also ordered 12 baloons and only got 11 and they didnt even bother to tie the ballons to a wieght which is complimentary but had. And when they handed them to me they were completely tangled. I had to cut them all half way because they were so badly tangled. The service was rude and the lady who waited on me had a bad attitude. I am not at all satisfied with their customer service and the services provided. I will not return there again. read more
