I recently visited this Publix since it's right next to a new Crunch Fitness opening up, and I have to say, this duo is perfect! Despite some construction in the area, it's still fairly easy to get to. The plaza itself is on the smaller side, and so is the parking lot. I didn't have any trouble finding a spot, but I could see it getting a bit tricky depending on the time of day, especially once the gym officially opens. A couple things immediately stood out to me about this location. I loved the pop of blue on the exterior, and interestingly, there are a few stairs leading up to the entrance, with a ramp off to the east side. I don't think I've noticed that setup at other Publix locations before. For being in a smaller plaza, the store feels surprisingly large inside. It's very spacious and easy to navigate. I also came across products I didn't even realize were sold in stores. I had previously been ordering items like Like Air Puffcorn and Surfside online, so I was genuinely excited to find them here. The store was clean and well maintained, and the bakery section is especially large. The aisles are long, wide, and well stocked, which makes shopping feel open and stress free. No tight corners or cluttered shelves. Overall, I had a great shopping experience and will definitely be back! read more

I have come here multiple times. It is a larger store and shares parking with Office Depot and soon with Crunch Fitness where Marshall's used to be. The design is pretty cool and helpful with both east and west ramps, along with steps at the main entranceway. The Customer Service booth is positioned facing the entrance and exit sliding doors which is very convenient. In addition, self-checkout is available. Although some of the foods I purchase regularly are not available because as one of the managers said, "they don't fit the demographics of the area," they have a large supply of just about everything else and the service is what we have come to expect and respect from this large grocer. read more

Very clean, very good service, great bogo items, fresh produce, easy to find items except nuts are in several different places rather than all in one place and the price of the generic is as high as other brands. Customer service is very helpful and handles refunds needed very efficiently and effectively. The delivery sandwiches are great but the fried chicken could be fresher! They need more help making sandwiches causes they are so popular and so good! The line gets really long! The workers making the sandwiches are amazing! They really take pride in proving a great item with a smile! I cant say enough about the works who handle the hot food! It's also a joy watching them make sandwiches! This store is pathetic. salad bar unavailable at lunch time once again. Manager says we don't have it on Saturday which is a crock of BS, as mgr run away and yells over his shoulder sorry about that. So obviously the decay is from the top down I stopped going here because it sucks so bad but it was on my way so I stopped in and now I have to drive to Atlantic where they know how to operate a real Publix. Publix has become the leading name in the supermarket field here in the southeast. Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. This particular location is in Pompano Beach, Florida and overall, it is a good representation of Publix. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities where Publix opens a location are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location for that matter and I give it five stars. read more

Oh come on yelp! I've been here 10 times -- at least what you show as check ins, but actually a lot more. And no review showing? Oh well. It's a Publix. And when here for the old Tuesday Morning or for Office Depot or for Marshalls, we would often run in here for lotto or for a few items. They are ridiculously expensive now and always more expensive than the Publix we do go to most often around the corner on Cypress Road (18th Avenue), so we don't shop here regularly or often. We'd gone to Walmart further north, but they don't carry a few of the things I needed so we stopped in here to get the remainder of my shopping list. And yes, I guess if I have to, I'll be back. I went to visit a friend in Pompano and this Publix was on the way there. I decided to get something sweet and I found these great cookies on sale. It's a good size portion and I know that coming from the Publix Bakery, they will be delicious. Always keep an eye on their specials because they can pocket you some nice cash...also their BOGO specials are usually very good....I'm a sucker for deals! LOL...... I visit this Publix location at least twice a month to get a standard chicken tender pub sub. The ingredients are fresh and the staff is friendly, however the service is very slow. If you plan to order a pub sub from this location, I recommend ordering a head! read more

Customer service is usually great however I stopped in to grab a bottle of Motrin near the pharmacy. I went to pay at the pharmacy counter and the young girl said, you can pay at customer service as she rung me up. I'm sorry it was an inconvenience to ring up one item in the pharmacy. This is our usual go to grocery store. It is close and convenient. The produce department always has nice fresh vegetables and fruit that are kept nice and cool. The bakery always has fresh breads and pastries, along with the deli and their great subs and sandwiches. The store is super clean and the shelves are well stocked. They keep most of the check out lines open which keeps everyone happy.All the employee's are friendly and helpful. Dont forget the BOGO they always have going on, you can usually find something you use often and get one free. read more

We were able to get everything we needed for our vacation rental from this store. Decent fruits and veg. Good selection of meat, though no butcher shop on premises. Ok fish dept. Some wine and beer, but won't impress gourmets. Check out is slow. No automated lanes. read more

Publix is the South Florida standard and this store is exactly as I expected. It is not one of the largest but it is clean, bright and busy. The parking is part of a strip shopping center and I imagine it could get tight at peak times. There were a few items on the list today and each was easy to find in the designated spot. As far as food selection I would give this location 4 stars. Customer service is definitely 1 star and ambiance would be 3 stars. The first time I ever came to this location my daughter was turning 1 and I wanted her birthday to be perfect. I went to a cake book and selected the cake. It was pretty straight forward because there was a physical picture of the cake. I didn't make any special requests. I received a missed call the morning of the requested date from the bakery to inform me there was information that needed to be confirmed such as when I would need the cake. I was already clear about everything. When I arrived they told me I would need a shopping cart because the cake is heavy. Never in my life would I imagine a cake for a 1 year old being heavy. When I saw the cake I realized they made a mistake a made a 2 tier cake. I was forced to pay the bill for their mistake. As time went on I let it go because it was an experience for myself and the guests. The cake was beautiful despite being more costly. The second incident was me calling to report what had happened and the idiot in customer service hanging up. Another occasion I received several stares from the Haitian workers while they went on to speak creole giving me jealous stares. Recently I went to get a money order and the woman taking care of the lottery line heard me ask if I have to buy something to get cash she said no you have to pay for something to get money back. I couldn't believe how dumb was. I came back and she assumed I was there for cash back after I made it clear I would just go to the bank. She said oh you have to go in line at the register to get money back after just asking me what I was there for. I told her I wanted a money order she kept saying you can go to this lady if you want to, what are you doing ...oh money order this line. What a disgrace to Haitians. I decide I'm going to get some things since I'm already there. The sign says buy 3 get 3 free but I don't bother to argue about the false promotion. The cashier says hello so I said hi, he then yells at me and says you don't have to say hello if you don't want to it's fine. So I look around me and I said what are you talking about, I just said hi, I guess you didn't hear me. So he says oh yeah if I didn't say anything it would be a problem but I say hello and you say nothing. He was an older Haitian man working at the register closest to customer service. Another disgrace. I don't know what's happening at this location but as far as I can see most of the employees are no good. read more

Not much I can say about it. It's a Publix; not one of their flagship stores and not nearly as large or containing the variety and choices of their location in the Cordova Plaza off 17th Street Causeway. Also, it's part of a grocery store chain not nearly as good as a Wegmans but not nearly as bad as Piggly Wiggly. However, as a super market/grocery store, OK, average in content but with the redeeming value of having a pleasant very friendly as well as polite staff. read more

There is something special about the people working at this Publix. This is the second time I've had an encounter with an employee that was a godsend in the encouragement I needed. This is not my usual Publix but occasionally go here when more convenient.. today, a nice young gentleman named Billy was bagging my groceries and he truly seemed interested in how I was doing? He asked another time, I then responded with the truth which I don't typically do in casual situations.His response was simple and kind, as was Noellis the cashier. I left the grocery store with a sense of community and care from a stranger that was genuine. Being a native of S Florida, it's very common for people to not even look at each other, so when people take an extra step to be kind, it has such an impact on others! So they're re-setting this store and moving essentially everything around the store to a new spot. Everyone is having a heck of a time funding stuff but I will say most of the time there's a Publix employee around to help you find what you're looking for. I suppose there's a method to the madness although not yet apparent to me. I'm optimistic that after being out of my favorite Ken's salad dressing for nearly 4 months that they may actually get it back in stock. Greeting cards and magazine selection greatly reduced (needed to happen). Wine now across from the beer-that makes sense. Oh well, in a couple weeks it'll all be completed and in a couple weeks after that I'll have it figured out again. I'm glad they're remodeling and keeping the store updated. Been here a few times and just not at all Impressed with this place. The staff is extremely friendly, which is refreshing. This does not make up for their lack of quality produce and selection down to their below average selection of gluten free items that are scattered throughout the store that are not marked half the time. If anyone in the corporate should read this, take a look at Dierbergs in St. Louis and how they stock and handle Gluten Free products. Unfortunately, this is really our only choice of super markets in the area, unless we want to take a further drive and to spend more money on the basics at Whole Foods, we do not shop at any Wal-Mart. I have noticed a dramatic change in the last 4 months. The produce department has regularly been out of regular items. Such as iceberg lettuce, carrots, artichokes and cherry tomatoes. (To be fair, they did have the "organic" items, which cost 5x the normal price available.) THe store has been reorganized so many times that I have become frustrated when looking for ALL items. There was a time when I asked a publix associate where I could find an item, and they would drop what they were doing to escort me to the item. THOSE DAYS ARE GONE. I asked a stock person where I could find farro, and he told me that I should ask customer service. Publi1x needs to re-evaluate their customer service. Amazon looks more and more worth the expense. (Considering Publix isn't the least expensive alternative.) And yes, I tried the publix delivery service with horrible results. Because they are so close, I'll stick with them a couple more times. But I'm close to boycotting. read more

The deli department at this publix is a mess. Not only do I have a problem every time I go, but today I notice that everyone else also has a problem. The gentlemen in front of me ordered a sub online which was not ready, which happens to me too every time i order online and have me waiting another 20mins to make my sub. The poor guy is trying to tell the person behind the counter his name and confirmation number but the deli person is not helpful at all and making things complicated for him. When it was finally my turn to order my sub the person taking my order took such a long time to cut up my meat that the next customer behind me was able to start and almost finish with their order. And even He had a problem with his order. Once I was finally done with my order, my coworker decided she wanted to try the same sub as me and when she told Alourdes that she too would like ham and turkey, Alourdes rudely responded: why didn't you tell me you were getting the same meat. She said because I just decided that's what I wanted. Alourdes still gave her a bad attitude and we said forget it, we left. Why the bad attitude? Like I said, always a problem with the deli. Everyone behind the counter just looks and acts like they don't want to be there. No need to be mean to customers. Everyone else working at that location is always so helpful and great! All the cashiers and the people bagging your groceries are so kind. The people in the meat department are always friendly. Even the pharmacy is wonderful!! But not one person behind the deli smiles, says hi or works with any sense of urgency. Upon leaving I saw someone who I thought was the manager, she informed me she was not the manager, that the manager was on a call. However she definitely heard me, apologized (even though she did not need to, it wasn't her fault) and was very nice. I love my local Publix! But the deli is so rude :( read more
