I call this one the little Publix on Marco. It is way smaller than the other on the island. It does have fewer merchandise than the other, so I'll come here when I know I only need a few things. The staff is always smile and so friendly! They even ask if you need help bringing your groves back to your car! It's always clean inside and shelves are stocked. For what Wifey and I needed - an easy four-star experience. We just needed some snackies - some mid-afternoon, just got off the hot beach and I need something to eat snackies. Worst pub sub I've ever had. I guess they stuffed it too much to fit all the ingredients, so they just stacked the tomatoes in the outside of the bread and wrapped it. The sandwich looked like it had been punched a couple times and the bread was mushy and soggy. Spent 12 dollars on a full and could only eat half bc of how nasty this bread is. read more

I didn't want to give the entire store a bad review , but the deli today was a 1star. I bought 2 chicken tenders that were in the "HOT" case. BUT not hot at all , honestly not even warm . Come on Deli Dept you can do much better your quality keeps getting worse.. Rarely are my sandwiches prepared correctly when ordered online! Read the order. if you are never going to honor the customer selection to have oil and vinegar packets with the sub then remove that option on the web. Regarding my chicken tender sandwich that had no resemblance to the name use mayo when it is requested and 86 (throw away) the diced tomatoes that are yesterdays "who knows what" which is not the way sandwiches are supposed to be prepared. Ordered a sandwich online and it wasn't ready when I got there. No big deal I understand they are busy.. but they weren't, it would have been faster had I just waited in line and ordered the sandwich when I got there. To make matters worse when I finally got my sub I drove it all the way back to work just to find out they made wrong.. but they made it so badly I had to question if they did it on purpose. I ordered a chicken tender sub with lots of toppings. What did they do?? They chopped up chicken tenders and slapped them on white bread.. that's it, they called it a day wrapped it up and took it around the corner to where I was waiting. Just chicken and bread.. I love Publix especially the produce. The cashiers are wonderful, BUT....the Deli. Everyone there is so slow, they ignore you, no smiles. I am starting to think that tuna in a can is a better option than waiting so long. One good thing about the deli section is that they make excellent sandwich platters. So fresh. read more

I shopped here several times over the last couple of weeks and was able to get nearly everything I came to buy. I never found Milo's tea and this is the South so I was surprised. Other reviews about the deli being slow were accurate but everyone was friendly and my orders were perfect. read more

George Jenkins the founder of Publix Super Market knew the way to build his business was to offer great service and prices. Publix dominates the So. Florida Market and for a good reason, they are well stocked, clean and for most part provide good service. Notice I did not mention price, when you dominate the ACV ( all commodity volume) there seems little to no incentive to have low prices. This Publix is a smaller version of the Publix format, clean, good service and helpful employees, prices are higher than other Publix in the area as there are only three choices for groceries on Marco and Publix owns two out of three of these choices. They try hard to balance pricing with the Bogos which are some great deals of you need two of the items offered. All in all a good place to shop but wish there was more competition to keep prices down! read more

I've been shopping at this store for years while visiting the island. It seems old and in need of a re-vamp. The aisles are very narrow and difficult to navigate with even another shopper near by. When the workers are stocking the shelves add another 10 minutes to your shopping trip just because you'll be standing around waiting to get past them. In the health and beauty care aisle I noticed they had so much merchandise that it didn't all fit on the shelves. The entire aisle had stuff hanging over your head above the shelves on both sides. I was able to reach the few things up there I needed but if you were any shorter than me it would be difficult. If you're in need of something and near this store, try the near-by Winn Dixie or head to the Publix on the other side of the island. It's much larger and better organized. read more

Considering there are really no other options other than this Publix (minus Winn-Dixie which is worse) on the island, they have a very captive audience. Also given that same fact, I find the prices and value here less than desirable. The aisles are quite narrow, as others have mentioned the aisles are far too crowded (I liken it to bumper carts), and the selection in general leaves much to be desired. Employees were helpful and friendly enough. I'd recommend though leaving the island and doing your shopping at super target or Walmart for more variety. read more

I thought that this was a very nice Publix. I spoke to several employees and they were all very courteous and polite. They had everything you needed to eat, feel well, and have a great day at the beach. It was probably a little smaller than the usual Publix. However, every time we went, there were very few customers. We went in June though, the "slow season." read more

I happen to look at yelp for some good restaurants in the area and saw the Publix had more negative review. I decided to go to Winn Dixie. Winn Dixie was fine. Then yesterday I went to the Publix on Barfield. I was very pleased and told my husband I liked it. Tonight went to dinner near the at Publix at 1089 N Collier Blvd. All I can say is I won't return again. The cashiers name was Jeniffer. She wanted to suspend my order just because I was getting a rain check out of my purse she was still ringing me up. Also wanted me to pay even though the price wasn't right and send me to customer service to resolve it. The bagger wasn't any more professional. Both of these individuals were not pleasant or friendly. Then I did have to go to customer service and the person helping me just walks away to check the ad in another area of the store. Doesn't even inform me what she is doing. All of these individuals need major training on good customer service. read more

Awful deli service. I ordered a sub online yesterday and I selected 3:15 as my pick up time, and when I arrived it wasn't ready and was not made yet. I had to ask multiple people where my sub was and no one seemed to care. After being there for 10 min my sub was ready, finally. When I went home to eat it, it wasn't what I asked for at all. Missed multiple condiments and vegetables. This has happened more than twice at this publix when ordering a sub. Will go to the publix off of barfield for now on. read more
