I went to the Publix in Edgewater, FL,no chicken was in the store Friday afternoon there was no chicken in the deli, none at all. This is one of multiple instances where there has been either no product or bad service. The employees will stand there cleaning slicers while seeing a customer with a number, which has in the past started arguments between employees over who has to stop to help. the whole time this is going on the customer is left standing there for 10 minutes or more. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is also great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location and I give it five stars. read more

What an awesome store, very clean orderly well organized. The restrooms are very clean. Staff members are very friendly and helpful. The cakes in the bakery were difficult to choose from but we finally decided on one. The fried chicken was my favorite and it was as delicious as the cakes. The Publix stores in central Florida are such great places for the last moment dinner and dessert at home decisions. Marissa was our cashier and she was so nice and polite also. read more

I've done a lot of shopping at this store over the past several years. Considering how busy this store it, it is always kept very clean. This store has excellent customer service and high quality employees. I could easily call myself a regular and many of these employees have become my family's good friends. Overall, there is a wide selection of products at this store that cover any diet or allergy concern. There has been a great increase in the amount of organic and vegetarian products and I always can appreciate that. The only pitfall of this store, and why it's not a perfect 5 stars, is the deli. The employees are great, they just can't handle the amount of business this store gets. Wait times are very long, once I waited over 30 minutes. I recommend ordering ahead for any items you need prepared, they are always done by the designated time. read more

I've been to this Publix a number times, but there are two other locations closers to me so when I do come here it's mostly out of convenience when I'm on this end of town. I can't say I've ever done very much grocery shopping here, it's mostly to grab something I've forgotten earlier or that one up item I need. Such amazing customer service! Cashiers and stockers are always so nice and ask if you need anything. Store is always busy but never understaffed and never super long waits. I orders my daughters birthday cake from here and am SO amazed at how tasty and price was lowest in the area. All private bakers were asking $160+up they have the price on their site for the cake in the Pictures Butter cream was SO fresh. Cake was super moist and fluffy. Sushi is so good! I love all their rolls with white rice! Dragon is the best!! Wish they would make more of those since it's rare that they have them when I stop in. read more

I've shopped here numerous times over the years. Always crowded. But, Publix is always the gold standard in food stores around here. They are also expensive though. You get what you pay for. Long lines always to be expected at check out. Today, I purchased a cake out of the refrigerated case. I asked if it was still defrosting from the freezer. The person in the bakery replied, "no." I get home and attempted to cut the cake. My knife broke. It was still frozen solid. Always quality cakes, but please, Publix! Let your cakes defrost before putting them out or at least warn your customers that they are buying a frozen cake to take home so that they can plan time to defrost it. read more

I've shopped at publix for over 20 years, and when i had a problem with them that i had to call corporate office i have yet to hear back from them so i thought that i should tell the public what i found when i bought hamburger meat from them. This Publix has been around for ages and it shows. The Pharmacy is tiny and pushed to the side near the north entrance. The deli is ok, but not the best Publix deli I've ever been to. Twice I've ordered deli meat online and had to wait well past the promised time. The produce has always been decent. The bakery isn't bad. It's a 3 star store. read more

I never go there over priced always crowded, lines take forever some of the mangers are rude and act like they hate there job. If u can't be happy working with the public then get anthor job. Can't find anything I live up the street and I avoid it at all costs. We visit every year to stock our condo for the week. Friendly staff and store has everything you need! Prices are a bit higher than home but suppose that is normal for a resort area. They weren't that much different they I felt the need to go further inland. read more
