There have been times when I get sale items like Neterines for .99 PER LBS or Pears ( on sale only) and they would rot fast. I say to myself for the price what can I expect. As far as the meat I ususally go for the chopped meat on Tuesday for $4.49 I have never had a problem with it but at the same time I wonder am I getting a quality product due to the price? Salmon they usually have a good price on it. Again I've never had a problem with it but since I buy the Atlantic Salmon I like to know where it comes from. When I ask usually the clerk behind the desk doesn't know, then he will go to the back and find out and tell me Canada. ( which is better than chilli) but there is no infomation on the packaging or anything. I've decided to keep safe i will buy Bluehouse which is Salmon grown in man made tanks in Florida from another supplier. The deli Deparment is really good. They have better tasting and better valued deli than most major supermarkets in the area. Overall I really like Perrines. So far the food is real good and you have good values. I'd give it 5 stars if I can find out more info on what I am buying. with Fish and meat, and sale items on produce lasted longer.

The cashier was friendly and packed my items neatly in my ALDI reusable shopping bag. While I was paying for my items, my Mom reached to grab the bag. The cashier told my Mom the bag was heavy and that I could carry it. Stubbornly, my Mom lifted the bag out of the cart anyway. The cashier's concern for my Mom was appreciative. My Mom laughed and we all joked about it. By the way, I did take the bag from my Mom as we started to walk away.

They have a large hot case with all the Cuban dishes including pork, ropa vieja, oxtail, tostones, maduros, empanadas, beans, and 3 different kinds of rice. Their sandwiches are served on half of a Cuban loaf. I once ordered a pork sandwich and although it wasn't the best I've had it was definitely the biggest (I should've eaten half and saved the rest for later). While most of the various food items and drink options are primarily Asian based, there's numerous Central and South American imports as well, mainly with canned products. I'm bad with names, but the lady who works there whenever I go is very nice. She's always giving tips on how she prepares certain things. Such as the frozen red bean paste buns. There's a decent sized refrigerated and frozen food section. Which alot of Asian majority products. Shops, at least in Florida do not have. The West coast has a shop like this on almost every street, but this isn't the West coast. Like I said at the start, this place is easily the best Asian food import shop in Volusia county.
