I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by my recent experience at Publix Sunrise West. I purchased a soup for my work lunch today around 12:15pm, only to discover a sharp piece of plastic inside. This was not only unsanitary but also a serious safety hazard. I had to throw my entire lunch away and was left questioning whether I had already swallowed fragments before noticing it. As a loyal Publix customer, I expected better. Finding foreign material in food is unacceptable and dangerous. This ruined my lunch and shook my confidence in purchasing prepared meals here again. I'm sharing this so others are aware and so Publix takes immediate action to prevent this from happening to anyone else. No customer should have to worry about choking on plastic in their meal. read more

I am definitely happy with my experience with this Publix Pharmacy. I checked in for my flu shot and it took very little time from the time I filled out my release form and was given my shot. The pharmacist was very friendly and she was pretty quick too. I believe this is where I will get all my future vaccinations. read more

At the one on 9300 W Commercial, my mom rung up her items and the coke didn't go through when she thought it did. Blond guy at the self-checkout didn't say anything until she was already payin. After he rung it up he walked away with a smug smile as if he'd just stopped a thief. Then he made fun of her for going the wrong way to the exit, still with that smug smirk. He made her feel really embarrassed and terrible. Wish I'd gotten his name. We're never going back if they're hiring bullies like that over there. read more

I'm going to upgrade this review, not necessarily because the store has changed but because I realized that in relation to other Publix stores, this one is a true gem. There is one closer to my house but I prefer to come to this one because it's cleaner and they seem to always have items in stock that the other one doesn't. Even items listed in their weekly ads aren't in stock in the other one but they have them here. So, I'm upping it from three stars to four stars. read more

This Publix is located in a plaza that has Carvel, a Greek restaurant, a dental place and a yoga studio. However, the parking lot is pretty small for the publix and is shaped in a weird way. However, inside of the Publix it's kept maintained & usually clean and without an issue. There is a deli section for your sandwiches, but there is not a hot food station like some other Publix's may have. I usually find what I'm looking for here and there's never usually an issue. read more

Sandwich was delicious, but, for the 5th time in a row they did not for the written instructions that I added to my online order. Do the people at the deli read English? I specifically asked for sandwich to be cut in 4 pieces! Unreal how no publix can ever get an online order right!!! Either it is late or the instructions are not followed! This time it was at the welleby store. This is my 3rd or 4th bad review. If it is not ordered online you have to wait 20-30 minutes in line at the deli. read more

The deli sandwich women at 950 E. Commercial are the rudest. Too busy talking to each other and I was actually told there was no rare roast beef when she didn't bother to go to the other side to check. They have always done that before Lazy and rude. read more

I really love this public the only downfall is that the parking lot is always ! Always! Full everyone here is really helpful they now that a liquor store that is located right next door along with Publix pick up which is great you can order through the app and the shopping gets done fairly quick just pull up and pick it up the plaza itself is really great I just wish they had more parking space. read more

While the store is clean & always fully staffed; they seem to not be managed properly as there is ALWAYS a long line & rarely more than 1-2 registers open.. The shelves are stocked, but when they run out of an item & asked about it they rarely follow through with restocking these items.. most of the employees are not pleasant, however the few that are, stand out & go above & beyond to be of service. I suspect the employees are not pleasant b/c the management of the store are not nice or helpful, so the employees do not have an example set by their bosses. The pharmacy staff, especially pharmacist Mike, stands out as they are not only kind & helpful, but knowledgeable as well. If it was not for the pharmacy staff & a handful of employees I would NOT go to this Publix when I could go a few extra miles to another location that does not have these issues.. read more

I love these mega super markets that Florida has always had. These places carry everything and in Florida that can also carry wine. Every department is it's own little superstore, hot foods, deli counter, florist, etc. They also have seating in the store so you can buy a meal and sit down to enjoy it. While I never really though of having lunch at the supermarket, I will say, it's certainly convenient. They always have plenty of help here and I love the fact that there is always someone to bring your packages to the car. Kudos to this chain for clearly being a trendsetter amongst these stores. read more

This publix has the nicest bakery workers. We usually come here just for the bakery. They have hot items such as meat patties, empanadas, and potato balls. They also have the best black and white cookies. The store is pretty big and so is the parking lot. There are hardly any lines when we go and the cashiers are fast. They always have a bagger on duty for each register. The liquor store is next door. It is in a convenient location close to the highways. The parking lot is always full, we park far and walk; it's good exercise. For the most part, the location is always packed just like other Publix locations. I like this location better than the one on Oakland Park Blvd. I find it less busy. There are always carriages available and the employees are friendly. Overall, a good standard Publix. read more

It's a Publix. It's a grocery store. It's neither good nor bad. It just is. They sell groceries. The store is clean. They could use a few more checkers during the heavy times, but they never seem to bother putting them in. I don't know why. Some of their prices are good, some are a little higher than other places. They are neither the most expensive nor the cheapest. There really isn't anything about Publix that makes them terrible or terrific. They are just right in the middle. This has always been one of my favorite stores. I cross over city lines to shop there on weekends. Each time I am catered to and today was no different. Looking for specific wine labels, I stepped up to Ornella, who was very candid in telling me she wasn't sure if they had a wine list, but she would get an "expert" to assist. Out comes Frank, an assistant manager, who is both professional and charming. This young man went as far as opening a bottle that we would sample. Though in the end, I wasn't pleased with the selection, I wanted to purchase it just because he went above and beyond; though I know better as a veteran consumer. That said, this is perfect example of what I constantly attempt to drive home--customer relations are the reason why [most] businesses achieve their sales goals / increase profit! Topping off my experience was Ron--the checkout associate who talked and served me with courtesy and the happiest demeanor I've encountered thus far in ANY Publix store. All this on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in South Florida, when others who have to work are begrudgingly doing so. I was shocked to ask an employee where they had the cottage cheese and have him tell me (mumble really) he had no idea what that was and kept on walking! Just left me hanging. Publix, people! The store where employees walk you to the product, never mind the aisle! I'm just not fond of Publix, although this location is better than some of them. Overall, I think the layout is weird. Most stores have food on one side and other things on the other side. Not these people, you have to wander all over the store to find just a few things, even if they're all either food, or non food. I know they're trying to get you to make impulse buys, but it's just irritating. I also don't like having veggies prepackaged. I rarely need a half pound of ginger, but if I don't want to buy the huge chunk in the package, I have to track down someone in produce and have it divided. Same thing with zucchini and other stuff. I like to pick my produce individually. They're also overpriced as compared to other big chains that we've used before, i.e. Safeway, Kroger's, etc. I really wish we had more choices in supermarkets. As it is, we have to go out of our way to Walmart or other places to avoid shopping at Publix. read more

Hello, today I went to the liquor store that is next to the store when I arrived there was no one on the register and I saw that the person in charge was with another client I went to the aisle and took what I was looking for and when I returned the manager was still with his name on it. en Eli did not pay attention to it and I waited for him to return I paid what I had to pay and when I wanted to play the lottery I told Eli to play me ten individual games and he asked me if he wanted me to do one by one ironically I said yes To which he replied that only this time he would do it but that he was alone and I asked myself for there is no time but for the other clients yes? Closest Publix to home and still my favorite one. It is within walking distance to Westpine Middle School. Recent renovations so things have shifted around. It's large, everything is pleasing on the eye and super fresh. I always get so excited for the BOGO deals since other grocery stores rarely have them. The deli section is a treat with their prepared foods and made fresh for you foods. If you've never had a Publix Sub, you're missing out. Prices are going up but such is life everywhere. This is my Publix and it is CLEAN and has great customer service. Great produce , fish and hot bakery and love the fried chicken and croquettes. I hate the fact that prices keep going up but Publix always has great sales every week, buy one get one free.Better than every other supermarkets and fresher purchases. Went there to pick up a Western Union transfer this morning... Waited in line for 20 minutes with only 1 person in front of me. Had to enter my transaction two times, because the system failed. When the transaction was finally finished, they had to look for money... called the manager Jennifer over and told her they needed money. She told me it was too early and they didn't have money to pay it out (noon). Sorry, but if you are a Western Union location, you need to have cash on hand at all times in order to do business. If you can't, then don't be a Western Union location. Also, if the store hasn't earned $2,000 in sales by noon on a Saturday, that's pretty sad. That LAZY manager "Jenny" should have made the effort and collected the money from the office or from other registers to serve this loyal Publix customer. I spend hundreds of dollars a week at this store, but because this LAZY effort from management, I'll shop elsewhere. This store and it's GM needs to make a better effort to find capable managers who ARE NOT LAZY, and who ARE ABLE TO FIND SOLUTIONS. Jenny the manager needs to be effectively trained as a proper manager, trained to better find solutions, in efforts to maximize the customer experience at the grocery store. I bought a floral bouquet. So many bouquets with brown flowers. And, after looking at all the bouquets I thought I bought one without dead flowers. But when I transferred the flowers to a container I saw dead brown flowers. Obviously Publix failed to get rid of the old floral bouquets. A waste of money and time. read more

Customer Service is an oxymoron in this store. Online behind a woman buying gift cards with her groceries. Can't tell you how long it slowed everything down. On the way out I asked a manager why they didn't do gift cards at customer service instead of with groceries. She asked me if she should send people buying toilet paper to c/s as well. Could have just said thanks for suggestion and not been as rude. Overpriced store that never has same product twice. Shouldn't have an attitude. read more

This is definitely my store, I love the layout and the store is always very clean. The only complaint that I have is the deli. One time I came and there was no one ahead of me and I became very excited about that, only to be quickly disappointed when the employees began to argue. That is the one department that I dread going to when I shop at Publix. I could never understand since it is so popular and so many people visit the deli why they don't have enough employees to cover the area and the employees seem seem so miserable back there. Overall the store is wonderful I just try to avoid that department if I can or place an online order. read more
