***** AIR FRYER ALERT *****…read more Now that I'm "stuck" in Florida for a while, I've decided to download every grocery store app for ALL the grocery stores in this area including BJ's wholesale etc. In the process of setting up all this info, so many times for so many apps ..... many many minutes later ... I was able to check what produce Publix has versus others and I discovered that they have these Air Fryer Pre-cut vegetables bags ready-to-go for an air fryer enthusiast like myself.... Well let's just say ...that I'm more like an air fryer newbie. I'm LOVING these pre-cut veges bags and had I know about this earlier I would have started doing this years ago ! Only around $5.00 per bag roughly and it saves me hordes of time ! I'm so so so excited about this because no other grocery store has this. We finally got Sprouts, @ The Villages and Sprouts has a ton of really great produce as well ... I love the store... but Publix is MILES ahead ... by making these pre-cut vege's bags which helps its customers save so much prep time in the kitchen. Check it out ... it's tucked away in a corner where you can barely find it in the produce section .., but it's there.

This store is Clean, Beautiful, well stocked. There was a charcuterie display containing everything you needed for a board. The team in the store. EVERYONE of them greeted us. There is always a unique selection of Seasonal specialty items around the Holidays and an aisle dedicated for these items. The selection of fresh produce is always good and I heard they keep it local, which I like. I didn't know about the Quarter for the shopping cart until another shopper told me about it, but that's kinda cool to keep the prices low. The lines are long sometimes at check out, so I like to shop in the morning when they first open. This location is super clean too. I also found out Aldi is a brother company to Trader Joe's...so I'm a fan of that too. Oh, and don't forget your shopping bags, you'll need those to pack up your groceries.

As for the cashiers, not so much...GRUMPY!!! The parking lot is usually a crap shoot, too. But, I do like the Walmart App... it's easy to navigate and the curbside pick-up is super convenient. I haven't always had good luck with the delivery service, however, they always make it right. My favorite part about this chain...Everyday Low Prices.

One of our favorite farmers markets…read more We first came here by accident a year or so ago. We were on our way to family in Ocala early in the morn when i knew it was time to stop for some coffee(the wife doesnt do wel without her java). I did a quick search for a spot, and saw a dunkin nearby. I exited the highway and headed that way. as I got closer I grinned. I had never been to the Villages. My gal didn't know what that was so as we pulled up and parked she said, "what town is this". I just played dumb. We walked into the Brownwood square and I had to tell her. She really didn't know much about the Villages so I filled her in. for my first impression it was great. The farmers market wrapped around the square and trickled out to the side streets some as well. They had the usual thing you would hope for like produce and pieces of art made by locals. But it had other things you dotn see often like some more quirky artisans, multiple flower and plant booths, empanadas, and the one that hooked me, a both that had all kind of mushrooms to eat. We swing by here about once a month for the farmers market, and enjoy it every time.
