Publix RULES! I believe I have visited (and reviewed) around 10 Publix stores throughout Florida, and I don't know of any that deserve less than 5 stars. I've been visiting Publix grocery stores since I was a kid, and always enjoyed the selection, layout, prices, and customer service. So when I was down in Orlando for a Disney weekend, my lady and I decided to stock up on essentials (beer, bottled water, beer, snacks, and more beer) for our hotel room. I popped up my Yelp app on my phone and quickly located the nearest Publix. This one was conveniently right down the road from the Outlet mall we were visiting, so we stopped on in. HUGE Publix store with a massive parking lot. I noticed the majority of folks shopping were like me- on vacation and looking to stock up on goods. This store offers up all the selection and convenience you'd like from a grocery store, plus a HUGE selection of Disney and Orlando t-shirts, beach towels, sunscreen, and every vacation item you'd need. If you're on vacation- check out the deli area for amazing dinner deals, and try out their subs- THE BOMB. Store was very clean, well-stocked, and staffed with friendly employees, just like every Publix store... I mean seriously, I'm the 8th person to review this store, and every one is 5 stars- that ought to tell you something. If you're grocery shopping in Florida, make sure to find a local Publix and shop there. If you're in the Orlando area and need to stock up, can't go wrong at this store- highly recommended. read more

After being sent to the horribly overpriced and disgusting Gooding's by the staff at our Disney resort, we were ecstatic to find this Publix also nearby. Reasonable prices, helpful staff, everything you could need for your Disney World stay. Warning, they don't sell alcohol before 9 am, maybe a local law? read more

Publix has gone down hill is a BIG way. The Publix on 535 across from Walmart is terrible, especially the deli. The deli is always out of hot foods. They never have chicken or wings. What a shame, must be a new Store Manager or Deli Manager. All I know is to not have hot foods between 5 and 7 pm when people want to stop and get dinner is very poor customer service and proves they don't care about the customers, especially the locals. Get it together Publix! read more

Check out was terrible the bag guy put fruit cup upside down. Laundry soap with frozen food and total destroyed a cake. If it wasn't so far away I would return it all. Don't go there. read more

Publix is Publix! I have never had a bad experience at any Publix...this includes the locations back home in Miami where customer service is typically frowned upon. This Publix is located right by the Premium Outlets and several vacation clubs, so expect to see a lot of tourists. Either way, every employee here is always smiling and eager to help anyone out. Just like any grocery store they have almost everything you could ever need and decent prices. I currently work down the street at one of the Vacation Clubs and I always refer my guests to this Publix, and I always tell them to do themselves a favor a have a Publix Sub. Publix should just open up a sub shop to compete with the other chains. If I were stranded on an island with only two things to eat, it would be a publix roast beef sub and beef jerky. :) read more

This is the market to go to in Orlando. Nice and big. Great selection and an amazing deli. If you need ponchos (and I did, thanks hurricane Debby) they've got them. But, you can't buy hard alcohol in markets and beer and wine are not sold before 9:00 am read more

I visited this location while in the area for a conference. My roomie and I wanted to stock up on food for the week instead of eating out all week. We were so pleased with our experience at Publix. This location is very clean and the staff was over the top friendly!! The selection was surprisingly wonderful. I immediately was envious of locals, wishing I too had a Publix near me! The prices were also very reasonable. Great work Publix! I look forward to visiting again when in the area! read more

We visited this store while on vacation, staying at the Marriot Grande Vista. Another Publix is listed as a bit closer but based on unfavorable reviews we chose this one instead. It is very conveniently located, only about 1.5 miles away. This store is large, well lit, and clean. We did not do alot of cooking in our suite, mostly got things for breakfast, drinks, and snacks, though we did prepare one dinner. We had no trouble finding anything we needed, and were at the store 3-4 times in the week. It is close enough for a quick trip. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Clerks who were in the aisles were quick to ask if we needed help finding anything. The cashiers and baggers were very personable and made us feel welcome. A very pleasant experience shopping there. read more

59/100 in 2016 challenge It's Publix! That should be enough said. All Publix's in my mind anyway expect for a few odd things are the best. This place is the cleanest store I have ever been in. Both inside and out. There parking lot is well maintained. I swear not one cart running amuck. Always where they should be. I have never seen one in the lot other then in the parking corral where they belong. Someone is always collecting them to keep the lot clear. I like that. The store when you enter looks like a typical Publix's expect for the aisle after aisle of souvenir stuff you can purchase. If you have forgotten something for someone this is the place to find it. Key chains with names on them, beach towels, tourist shirts. Yep this is the store for you. he aisle are wide and clutter free. The selection of prepared food is great. Bakery selection is yummy. All my encounters with staff have been pleasant. The bathrooms are well kept and clean. read more

This Publix seemed to be very new and clean in the inside. You can find everything would want for a supermarket, from fresh produce, meats, deli, to bakery. They also have an area in the store for sun stuff, like sunscreen, hats, beach chairs...etc. It was nice to find a familiar store while on vacation. It's right across from the Premium Outlets. The place wasn't really packed. I think more tourists come here than locals. read more

Huge Publix! Not crowded and close to Disney Resorts. The location was a little difficult to find but other than that a great Publix. Very clean. They also have three isles of Disney merchandise. read more

Pretty decent size supermarket with lots of premade food if you don't have a kitchen to cook in. The staff were friendly.

Their house premium ice cream is TO DIE FOR ... I've only had a couple flavored (pineapple upside down and New Orleans praline) but it is the TEXTURE that sets it apart, so light and fluffy... Like frozen fresh whipped cream! read more

Okay I don't normally review super markets but I have to give a shout out to Publix! Their fried chicken is da bomb. I'm a super fan of FC and I have to say Publix fried chicken is pretty damn good. We picked up an eight piece two of the three times we were in Orlando. Okay I may have brought a piece or two into the Disney parks while I was there. Also their deli sandwiches are equally delicious. read more

Very disappointed. I live downtown, so I frequently go the Publix on 400 E. Central blvd.. I recently bought a Universal Studios Orlando annual pass(Florida Resident) at this Publix for $165.07 after taxes. I went to Universal the same day, only to find out that I could renew my annual pass as a Florida Resident for a total of $144.00. So I naturally bought the offer at the park, thinking I would receive a refund from Publix. After leaving the park I returned the same day to the Publix on 400 E Central. I spoke to Matthew Herr. And he refused to give me refund, on account that this was a gift card. And gift card are not refundable . Nowhere on the card does it say giftcard. And the fine print on the back is not readable. Mr. Herr gave me the number to the store manager Paul Bracker. I left messages, but never heard from him. I was able to speak with his assistant Debbie. She said she would get back to me, and promissed to do the best she could. I never heard from anyone. Needless to say, I will be shopping at Wallmart for now on. Not sure what to do with this extra annual pass. But I am curious to see what the family lawyer has to say. Its a shame. I felt like this was my neiborhood store. Frank Rodriguez read more

LUCKILY, Jean-Francois helped me find what I was looking for and went above and beyond by helping me to my car. He was very kind and knowledgeable. This Publix is open until 11 pm (1 hour longer than other locations), which is very convenient! This location is huge with very high ceilings and a nice layout that is kept clean, so shopping is indeed a pleasure. It's the most touristy Publix I've been to, so the lines can be long, especially when the theme parks close. Merchandise selection is awesome, and customer service is quick and attentive but not too friendly (could be tourist fatigue). I did notice one bagger --- he kept fetching just 1 or 2 carts at a time (when there are at least 5 to 7 carts all around the parking lot, all within 10 feet of each other). In the time it took me to load up my car with groceries, I saw him make 2 trips. This is when the lines were long and his time would've been better used helping out the cashiers inside the store. read more

This place is the best. We make a trip every time we visit Disney to stock up on essentials for the room. The staff is always friendly and you're in and out in no time. Don't miss the fried chicken, it's fantastic! Tons of fresh produce, and their bakery has a lot of tempting treats. read more

For a vacationer ordering cake here beware ! I had ordered a cake from here in October , matter of fact 2 cakes from this particular Publix this was my first time coming here from a person who lives in Elsewhere besides Florida but was on vacation to come to Florida, I have spoken many times regarding my cake orders I have ordered , only to make sure it's correct . The pickup date was October 24, 2017. I was running a bit late and when I tried to call no pickup. I came later the day only to get my cake orders and when I saw, was misspelled words on it , from someone who has Bakery experience I wasn't happy and I tried not to fuss about it. I asked the lady if she can fix it. She seemed as if she didn't know how to spell "Dearest." And when I asked the other lady if she known how to spell dearest and redo it. She said she can't and doesn't know how to write on cakes. So why work in a bakery if you don't know how to write on cakes ? I left the cake there not trying to be rude and also, my other cake I have gotten was left out before I arrived . The cake was hot, it was a Butter cream cake and regardless can you only imaged if my option I chosen for the cake was Whipped topping ? Shouldn't the cake be in a cooler in their department ??? the cake was soggy and was gross! Nobody couldn't eat it because the hummingbird filling in it was soaked as if it's been left out all day! Never order a cake from here! My next vacation to Orlando this place is my beware ! Expensive place a quarter sheet nearly 40$ and a waste of that ! Even felt a bit sick after eating a piece . After that I had wanted to buy another item from the bakery that wasn't cake and, when I had went to the cash register already ready the label wasn't even there ! Why have an item on the floor if the price label is missing ? I went back to ask the lady if she can print another label out she didn't know how to even do that ! I will never come back here again. Stopped here on our trip. It's a decent supermarket and everything's easy to find. Never had their subs or ice cream, so I can't attest to that, but buying 8 days worth of food? That was easy to do here without going over our budget. It's a decent grocery store. read more

Shopped here on the way in to vacation. The store was clean, well stocked, and organized. The cashier gave my grumpy toddler a paper and crayons and another person offered him a balloon. We had finished checking out with no balloon and i just said no big deal. The bag guy came out to our car to give us the balloon. Best costumer service I've experienced in a long time read more

A great place to get groceries when visiting Orlando. Bakery and Deli were visited several times by our family while on vacation. Place comes highly recommended by locals. Subs are pre-made or you can have made to order. The men really liked them but our 12 year old said he needed more salami on his italian sub. Believe me there was enough. They had all of the comforts of our grocery stores here at home in NY plus some Florida faves. We really liked the cranberry/orange and the blueberry scones. We didn't care for the pre-made deviled eggs. They were rubbery and they didn't taste like Mom's. read more

A great place to stock up on you're vacation needs if you're trying to save some money - water, snacks, cereal, fruits, etc. They are well organized and most importantly they keep their prices decent at a touristy area. It's a pretty huge place and if you forgot to buy your Disney gifts they sell them at the store. Next time I visit I will definitely come back! read more

Whenever I travel to South Florida or Orlando, I am always happy to stop at Publix due to their immaculate stores, excellent service, high quality perishables, and fair prices. This Publix is definitely no exception. I stopped here on my way to Disney World as it was convenient to where my hotel was located. As always, I was instantly impressed by the cleanliness, bright lighting, wide aisles, and cheerful atmosphere of this larger than average Publix. First, I stopped by the Deli department, where a cheerful and efficient female employee served me my requested pound of Boar's Head Three Pepper Colby Jack as well as a lunch of a delicious 1/4 chicken with two sides (I chose Collard Greens and rice) for about $5 in change (less than a fast food lunch and better!). After stopping in the deli, I went to the produce section, where I picked up a 16-ounce pack of sweet Strawberries for a cheap $1.99 and bananas that were the perfect texture and not too ripe or yellow at an average price of .69/lb. As with the many Publix stores I have shopped in, the produce was fresh, high quality, and lasted a long time due to its freshness. I also picked up some delicious Publix orange juice, which was rated better than Tropicana in a Consumer Reports survey and cheaper at $2.99/carton. I then picked up other groceries, such as a package of Food For Life Gluten Free Bread and two cases of Diet A&W, which were on sale 4/$12 and the cashier charged me $6 for both cases, which was not bad at all! In addition to the groceries, I also picked up a Disney World t-shirt, which was $13 versus $25 at Disney World, due to this Publix's good souvenir selection. Finally, I checked out with no wait and Frank, my cashier was very friendly and efficient, as with all of my experiences at Publix. The bagger was also very friendly and bagged everything to my preference. While the bagger offered to take groceries out to my driver's car, I declined as I did not mind taking them. After checking out, I then went back out to my car from Tiffany Towncar and I was on my way to a magical time at Disney World. With its immaculate stores, excellent service, high quality perishables, fair prices (and even better sale prices), it is no wonder that Publix is my favorite supermarket chain and I will always look forward to shopping there. read more

Went to Public in Orlando while on vacation. Was very pleased with he selection. I was able to find all of the items I would buy at home. Large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The bakery department selection was baked on premises which made for tasty fresh items. read more

Having never shopped at a Publix before in my life until coming down to Orlando for my internship, I wasn't sure what to expect, and even though I had shopped there a few times within the last few months, my first few visits weren't extremely special...UNTIL I ventured over to this location with plenty of shopping bags and a small cart on loan from my apartment complex on a day when I ended up buying what seemed to be a month's worth of groceries. After I had everything bagged up (with the help of the amazingly friendly customer service associate Rocki (this review is for her, by the way), she offered to help me load everything into my cart and make sure it was easy enough for me to haul all the way back to my apartment, as difficult as it was. Although I could not have an extra set of hands on my walk back, I greatly appreciated her assistance and will let her know how much it meant to me if I see her again on my next trip there. read more

Saint Cloud Publix: Their number system for their delis SUCKS. They let people butt in line then say "sorry" but continue helping them and when they are finished they go in the back and never come back. Happens continually..... read more
