There's familiarity in going from Publix where I shop in GA, to the store in my soon-to-be new…read moreneighborhood in FL. I appreciate the pharmacy, the staff is helpful, the store is clean and well-maintained ... but there are things I notice that will take getting used to: *** In GA, you can buy one of their BOGO deals and pay half price. Not in FL where you buy one and it's full price. Makes you think twice about your purchase, i.e. 'will I really use two containers of strawberries before they go bad?!' *** There aren't enough cart corrals here. Buggies are left willy-nilly in the parking lot. People are too lazy to wheel them to designated areas where they won't conceivably damage parked cars. While the store can't do anything about that, they CAN send staff out regularly to collect runaway buggies. (They do it in GA!)

So we decided to shop here since the restaurant we were going to, had a 55 minute wait. In an…read moreeffort to "kill time" we decided to pick up some needed groceries. This store is beautiful, it's laid out so you can find products easily. The staff was super helpful. Then we made the mistake of going to the service desk where they have multiple cashiers but only one designated for "lottery". We had the misfortune of getting behind someone who literally put money on every game in every combination possible, multiple times . The line got super backed up and one person actually got out of line because of the wait. Call me crazy but if I was this invested , I'd be in Vegas not in Publix... Maybe they need a second line for high roller lottery players and delusional people like me that spend 10.00 and are happy to win 2.00.

This is actually a review for the brand new Cape Coral location which opened Saturday the 15th of…read moreOctober. I pulled in around 1pm and get lucky and got both a spot up front and a cart. The cart corral was empty...because the store was jam packed with people shopping. I've never seen a grocery store that mobbed and I worked at 2 when I was a teen. It was like a black friday shopping event. Let me clarify before I go one with this review I am NOT a latin american. I do not speak spanish. I am not descended from people who do speak spanish. So this review is NOT written for Spanish speakers or descendants of Spanish speakers but instead for those who are English speakers. This is a review from an "anglo" perspective. I like this store. It was a no "BS" shopping experience. I walked in the front and to my left was the cart corral, to my right was a wall of saving where they had a bunch product stacked that was on sale. Most of it was American brand cereals, Goyo brand canned products, and seriously like 5 varieties of rice. Good prices on the rice. They had two varieties of Jasmine which is my favorite, most stores usually have just 1. The produce looked good and was competitively priced. This store is much smaller than a winn dixie or publix so it can be tight maneuvering a cart. The seafood dept was ....interesting. Apparently latins like to buy their fish whole, fins, head, and scales whole. I don't do seafood but it looked like they had a nice variety of fish. The meat dept was well stocked and the prices were again very competitive. I like to buy my ground beef in the tube which they don't sell it like that. Their ground chuck price was $1.99 a lb. A little more than walmart but much less than Winn Dixie or Publix or Save A Lot for that matter. They had a sale on chicken drum sticks. $.49 a lb. I restocked my chest freezer for $25. Their pork selection was good but I didn't see much in the way of ribs although I didn't spend alot of time trying to find any. Eggs were $.79 for a dozen large which is an eggcellent price. I bought 2 18 packs and the eggs were the same size as my winn dixe large eggs i had at home. Loaf of simple white sandwich bread was also $.79. I went up and down a few isles. Most of food for sale was American brands but there was alot of Latin brands and Latin products, like Jalapeno jelly! They have a pretty basic bakery and a tiny tiny deli. Publix this store is not! if you are like for deli items I'd shop elsewhere for that. I stopped an employee to ask a question about a latin product and he was happy to answer my question. I got everything I wanted and headed to the checkout. The registers are about 2/3s the length of a normal register. The cashier spoke fluent spanish and english, was courteous, fast, and efficient. The lady in line front of my had a problem with her card (chip not working) and they moved her and her stuff out of line quickly and took care of it at customer service rather than holding up the line i was in. They had someone bagging at every register. I don't know if that's normal but if it is GREAT!!! The registers had candy and dried fruits of latin types and brands. I didn't see any stupid junk like tabloids. It was refreshing to stand in a line and not see some idiot celebrities face on a magazine. Over all I liked the store alot. Its a shame is way out of my way. I wished they opened it up in north fort myers near where i live. Hey bravo! The old Kash N Karry location on 41 is empty as is the K mart, walmart, and office depot locations! Hint Hint.

Place is a dumb and has pot holes in the floor. I had to walk out due to the poor smelling store…read more Idk how people can shop here. It was quite disgusting.

I was appalled to see a Karen (YT angry thuggish lady) berating a group of female Latina employees. She was making fun of them loudly and trying to humiliate them accusing them of not speaking English. I felt compelled to jump in, asked the lady why she doesn't make an effort to speak Spanish if it's such a huge problem for her living here in Florida. Folks, Spanish was the first language spoken in Florida. If you can't assmiliate to the land and its historical legacy, plus the fact we live among large Cuban, Puerto Rican, Mexican, and other South American communities, then perhaps Alabama would be more suitable for you.

Not even to speak English to me but to understand I was asking where do I find smoke alarms, I even use the translator on my phone and they just said no I need point to the next person wearing the blue coat the next one did not speak any English same situation they had no clue and one young girl working there, said no habla English and just walked away she wouldn't even talk to me. In this world where we're all a Melting Pot I just believe that if you are working in a store you should have some knowledge of the language this is the United States of America! Extremely disappointed will never go back to that store again ever nor will my family we will travel north or south to go to much nicer put together stores. Epic fail Walmart!
