Was late on my rent, so they decided to just go in and steal my things. 3 TVs , a tent, and 300 dollars worth of tool. What's crazy is talked to 2 other people. One gentleman said they cleaned him out, took EVERYTHING. A lady I work with says they broken into her unit twice. Rented a 5'x10' ten years ago for $50.46. Yesterday I paid $172. They've been bothering me about returning a lock and say they're going to charge me for it if I don't return it. It's a combination lock that they have the combination to. Been there at least ten times during business hours and the doors were locked. 5 phone calls and no return messages. Last 2 phone calls I tried to leave a message and it hangs up on me. 1-800 number is absolutely worthless. read more

No one at the office at scheduled reservation time to pick up keys. Called several times, left voicemails with no answer or return call. Contacted 800 number and they were unable to help us since a physical key is needed to access the unit. read more

Set everything up online. Rate for space was best around and with App you can open gate without even leaving vehicle.

Not only did they raise our rates but they also have made it impossible to get an invoice from previous months. I used to be able to go in and print older invoices for credit card reconciliation. Now I cannot. I also cannot get anyone to answer the phone at the location that our storage unit is located. Kinda hard to get an invoice if no one is in the office or answering the phones. Corporate will not help and the customer service department is a joke. I believe we will be looking into moving our unit to somewhere closer as well as cheaper. I am tired of dealing with a company that clearly does not appreciate our business as well as my time. Especially when I have to do their job and mine. read more

Don't believe them! It isn't $1.00 per month. I call for reservation, was told they have an *administrative fee, $25. .I am okay with that. Sorta....then there is insurance, have to buy a key that only fits THEIR lock. Over $60 later I have for a month. Told that it will be $14 for the remainder of the month since they put everything due at the first of the month and I have till the end of the month to pay. I go in on the 29th, on a Thursday. Tell them I am going to try to get out by the end of the month, tomorrow, on the 30th. He tells me that I need to let them know by 6pm tomorrow or they automatically charge for the next month, I said, thank you for telling me that! I lay down a $20 to pay for the couple of days left in the month, and he says it's $65! Charges me a late fee!! Bull cocky! They feel you to death!!! May be legal but SHAMEFUL business practices! So why exactly do you have employees live on site if they are not required to help during emergencies? We are authorized to get into the units till 9 P.m. but when we went there was a padlock in the gate (which public service customer service stated was an unauthorized override) and when we contact the "manager" of the property she stated the gate was broken......but she was THERE on the property and wouldn't let us in. Called her district manager who again stated that in the lease it stated they can control in and out times. This is a property that people PLAN their moves around. It's a Sunday when we had time to move and we have been working ALL DAY in the heat yet we can not access our property DURING OPEN HOURS because the gate is not closing WHEN AN EMPLOYEE is on site to close the gate? I will NEVER USE this place again and this is the 3rd time I have used them!!!! The manager could have let us in the gate and closed when we left, and she should have been paid to do so, but because of Public Storage ridículas policies they are not paid after office hours and she chose to not help us even though she was "home" and could have closed the gate after we left....because she would not have been paid for which I semi understand but either way, we PAID for a storage open till 9 and at 630 could not access our things thanks a lot public storage for nothing and for completely messing up our move. I will tell EVERYONE I know to NEVER use you!!!! read more

No one answers the phones when need to talk to someone. The person who was on site isn't trained well . He gave us answer to our question. But he was wrong. You can use their trash dumpsters when cleaning out your storage. Only thing u hear is excuse why they can't answer ur phone call. They waited three days to respond. We told they guy on Sunday. We are moving our stuff out. we ask him where we can throw the throw trash away. He said the dumpster is unlocked . but it was wasn't unlocked. He should had stated to us that we couldn't use the dumpster on site. I have rented storage units other place. This place is the worse. Plus we turn our key in on feb 27 2022. but we are being billed For march. we left a message on their voicemail after we turned are keys in on feb 27 2022. They should have called us back on feb 28 2022. instead of two days later. So they can bill us another month. I moved in Sept/Oct 2018. They pro-rate for the month when you move in, they charge you for a full month if you move out in the middle of the month, but if you move out 2 days into the next month, you pay FULL PRICE when they know they are renting it out that same month. It's called "double dipping" and that IS illegal in any rental business! When I moved in, had to pay the administrative fee which is bullshit, it was all done online. Had to pay for their bogus lock as it is supposed to be more secure, $20. I was told how secure their facility is & the first 4 months I was there, the gate was WIDE open! So much for security! But, did they compensate the renters, of course not. Now, I go to move out, moving to another state, give them almost a months notice, and today, find out the guy never vacated my unit. The woman I spoke to today, Kathy, is very arrogant & rude & I won't play that game. Says she's vacating my unit now. Today is May 8, I was out a WEEK ago! The man who was there when I gave notice, was the same one there when I left. I asked, do I need a receipt for vacating, he said no, just take your lock! She's demanding I pay May rent, I owe it per my lease. Well, any respectable storage facility would either wave the 2 days or pro-rate it instead of being so greedy. That's all it is, is greed. She gets my $110 & the next tenant's pro-rated rent.(which, like I said, is illegal in ALL rental situations!) Not to mention, I wasn't even there a full year and the rent went from $94 to $110! That is a 17% increase. Do yourselves a favor and stay away from Public Storage. This one in particular is horrible. I will send them a money order for 3 days pro-rated rent. I WILL NOT pay an entire month when I'm not there and haven't been there. I also told Kathy I was ending the call and she started screaming at me. read more

Fees, fees, fees and terrible customer service! Don't believe the listed prices on the internet. Not only do they charge crazy extra fees they also force you to buy "insurance" in order to rent a space. I had auto pay set up and because of a banking error my payment was kicked back one month and even though I called them to address the issue within 5 minutes of getting a notification email, they refused to remove the extra $55 I was being charged for "late payment" and a "returned check" fee (even though I wasn't paying with checks). The guy I talked to refused to help me in any way, wouldn't let me speak to his superior and basically told me to go screw myself. Weeks later when I received a collection call from them, I finally managed to get the "late fee" taken off, but not the other charge. Also they cut my $20 lock off of my locker AFTER I made arrangements to pay. Avoid this evil corporate fee farm at all costs. There are better local places to store your stuff. read more
