We met her yesterday when we…read moreinquired about a unit to store our household belongings while we were between homes, building our new home. She was incredibly welcoming and had tons of advice about our quick move including suggested size unit. She drove us to the different size units and showed us wonderful professionalism and tons of information. She truly loves her job and treated us like family. She offered various purchases to us with included info in a non pushy way. (Lock, packing supplies etc) turns out their prices are very good- I did my research. We signed the contract, purchased the lock from them and begin to move our things. On our second trip to came over and offered us bottled water and checked to see if we needed anything. She personally drives the facility And checks the units daily. Wonderful experience, super helpful and informative, very very sweet, and feeling very happy we are storing our things here while we build. Thank you Sibbie! *******Adding unfortunate notes to my review. Absolutely nothing to do with Sibbie and her customer service. (thats why i am keeping the 5 stars) We signed our storage unit contract in June. November I received a price increase notice. I called Sibbie and she suggested I call customer service (corporate deals with pricing). The online price is cheaper than what i WAS paying and even more cheaper than what the price increased to. I called customer service to see if they could work something out with me. I thought it was unfair the prices were increasing so high. Customer service rep may has well been a robot. She just kept saying "you can expect prices increases at anytime once or twice a year". I asked about loyalty or working with me on price. She just repeated her message. So if you use Public Storage expect exceptional customer service at this location, but definitely not with corporate. And keep in mind they submit price increases once or twice a year. At this rate, my monthly cost could INCREASE $30 or MORE EACH YEAR.

Hunter is an asset to this business!! I recently popped in to inquire about storage options and…read moreHunter presented the available storage options, current specials, everything included with the monthly storage rate, insurance and even advised me about where my moving company could drop my Pod for unloading into my new storage unit. Hunter was able to single-handedly take the stress of relocating to a new city, down several notches. The next day, she even phoned to see if I had any follow-up questions and provided a resource for moving help should I need some extra muscle to help unload my Pod. Employees like Hunter are the thing that separate the Space Shop Self Storage from the universe of mediocre, run-of-the-mill storage facilities. I highly recommend checking out Space Shop if you have storage needs. They are conveniently located on Woodruff.

I understand putting the facility close to areas of high traffic for advertising purposes but when…read moreit limits the ability to pull in, load and unload, park, leave the lot; I believe the sacrifice needs to be made by the company to think of the customer before the advertising. It is absolutely the worst location for all of the above. The entry and exit are right at the interstate on/off ramp on an extremely busy stretch of road. Pulling into the facility by making a left turn, you stand the chance of being rear ended as their is no turn lane to pull in. It is at the very start of a turn lane which other drivers most likely believe you will be making a left on the main road 100 yards down further. The facility itself is nice but if you want to unload a full size 26' U-Haul truck into units be prepared to move the truck 10-15x's as 2 full size trucks will block the way and make it impossible for anyone to get by. Drop offs are done literally at the entrance. which again makes it a pain to maneuver around there. The staff is decent, although like the reviewer before they will money you to death. Don't dare forget to call up before your billing date if you received a new debit card and you are on auto pay. They will not call you when the payment doesn't process, they will send you an email 1-2 days later and then charge you $15 late fee. If the staff forgets to click autopay when setting up the account and the payment isn't made until you get that email, again it's never the staffs fault and you are paying the $15 fee and that is per unit. Staff should learn the loyal customers who have used the facility for years versus the 1-2 month renters and be more understanding of things. When you rent a storage unit, it really isn't a high priority bill on your mind when getting new cards or switching banks. Hell mortgage companies and auto loan companies and almost any other company that you make monthly payments to gives 10 day grace periods. Again the staff is decent, who knows they could be handcuffed by their corporate over lords. The facility is clean, they do have a decent elevator and they have little dollies and carts on site for your use. Last thing the electronic card swiping is a pain, swipe to get in, swipe to use elevator, swipe to leave. Swipe to use a door to go up the stairs. Wel if I'm swiping at the door or elevator why doesn't that count as me checking in, if my vehicle isn't there any longer why doesn't that count as me checking out. I think there is a basement layer where they are hiding the gold from Fort Knox.

RUSHED FROM STORE WITH ZERO HELP. WOULD NOT GO TO THIS…read moreLOCATION All trucks were already reserved which is understandable so worker Bryce "helped" us in reserving a U-Haul truck at a different location, which was a lengthy process in itself. My fiancé and I drove to the new location and waited for about 30/40 minutes in another line only to find out that there was no truck there reserved for us like promised by worker Bryce. One of the workers at the new location even commented on Bryce being less then stellar in the past as well and making mistakes like this in attempts to rush people out of the store. Now any other store remotely near us will be closing soon, so essentially we drove 3 hours from Atlanta to just drive right back and have to come back all the way to South Carolina again to help our family member move. Thanks Bryce.
