The high staff turnover at this location means there are multiple issues that potential customers have to deal with. We're not bothering, this place is a waste of time and money. Low and behold, they never credited us the amount. If you try calling the location no one ever picks up, so you have to go through their customer service in the US. They told me I had to speak with the manager (named Michelle) and that they sent a message to her and she would contact me within 48h. She obviously never did, and when I tried calling (numerous times) I kept getting redirected to the US. Not impressed at all with the location specifically- would advise to go with a different company that provides better customer service and has a reliable/professional manager.

I left the first time for access to a facility closer to home. Though it was a drive up unit, there was far less security/surveillance and if you're anything like me, a lack of a sense of security really affects how you sleep at night with your belongings in a storage unit. As of December 2017 after being at the unit closer to home literally walking distance to my door I decided to move back to Smart Stop Oakville. Maybe it's the sense of security, but this location feels far more secure to store my stuff. As I treat this as an extension of my home like a garage, that is a incredibly important for me to trust as I have trust issues. Realistically speaking my only 2 complaints with this location is that it only has 3 loading bays and no light in my unit, but the no light is more a frustration than a complaint after getting used to a light in my drive up unit. Friendly staff, realistic pricing that isn't trying to gouge customers and carts usually always available when moving stuff in or out. I am sadly someone who has expierence with almost every location in Oakville and Mississauga. I could list pros and cons at just about every location, but this location is the first in a very long time that I honestly don't worry as much about my unit. I'd highly recommend this storage facility if you're looking for somewhere to trust to store your belongings. Contacted us ahead of time to confirm the move and really gave us confidence that we were in good hands. Khelan, Regi and Dave were an amazing crew on moving day. They were full of energy but also very thorough and protective of the furniture. They rarely stopped for a moment all day and were so patient when placing the furniture in the new location. My husband and I booked a few days in advance of hiring this company for the second time in four months (we renovated our home and were living in a rental). We were quoted $163/hour for 3 men in July 2018 which was a little more than the $148/hour for 3 men we were charged in March 2018. Unfortunately the company pulled a major fast one on us and the third mover left within the first 15 minutes of the job starting. His departure was not communicated to us by the lead driver, Jay; rather, I asked what had happened to him. The response was that he had pulled a muscle getting out of the truck when they arrived at our rental house and that his sister had "taken him to the hospital for surgery". I asked about the rate we were quoted and Jay assured me that it would be "adjusted" which i assumed meant it would be somewhere closer to $105-120/hour. As an aside, the individual appeared to be in his early 20s and it top physical condition and was easily 15-25 years younger than the other two movers who were assigned. Upon reflection, it appears highly likely that the driver saw the relatively small size of the job and sent the young man away (perhaps a temporary worker as opposed to an employee) so that he and the other mover would benefit from working a longer day, at likely a higher rate of pay. Needless to say, my husband was flabbergasted when Jay told him that the rate for 2 men was $148/hour. The cost of moving in July was almost $400 more than our original move in March even though it was a significantly smaller amount of contents involved as most of our furniture and other items had simply been moved from the 1st and 2nd floor of our existing home into the basement. Furthermore, All-Rite blatantly over-charged us for 5 mattress covers that should have been $6.95 + HST = $34.75 but instead we were charged $61.60. When I contacted the owner of the company to ask for a refund, he advised that "I should call around and find out how cheap their rates are" and that he would not be reimburse me for anything. He then proceeded to hang up on me. We are pursuing this with our bank as we paid with our credit card and are in the process of disputing the charge with the expectation we will be reimbursed for the overcharge. I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU AVOID THIS COMPANY AS THEY ARE DISHONEST AND DISRESPECTFUL!!!
