I needed to place some things in storage back in November. I tried reserving the unit online and had issues, that should have been a red flag. I went up in person and rented the unit. I told the manager that I had insurance and showed him proof. He proceeded to tell me that I still had to accept and sign for the insurance and then we could take it off. We finished the transaction and I left. A couple hours later I went back up because I didn't remember signing to take the insurance off. The manager was on lunch, but came out and said that he would check after he got back from lunch and would call me if I hadn't. He never called me. When they took the payment out the first time they charged me for their insurance. I called during hours of operation and there was no answer, so I left a message. The manager called me back a couple days later (no biggie, we all get busy) and told me that I would have to come up and sign because we hadn't done that when I was there the first time (even though he assured me we had and told me he would check and call me back if we hadn't). I told him it was going to be a bit for me to get up there because I was working 7 days a week. I have gone up there 4 times when they were supposed to be open and there was no one there. It's a little hard sign something when no one is working posted hours. I finally got in to sign the form. I explained what had happened and that I needed to cancel the insurance. He told me that he couldn't refund my money because that was a corporate issue. Just got a call from corporate and they're refusing to refund the $75 they stole for insurance because I signed for it. I explained to her that I was told I couldn't rent without signing for the insurance, she stated that was not true.
So word to the wise. Stay away from this company. They're liars and thieves and obviously do not know how to conduct reputable business. read more
