My rent kept going up so I decided to move storages to a place that guaranteed their rate the date I was supposed to be moved out September 30th, however, on September 28th I went to get the last of my stuff and sweep out my unit and they already took my gate access away and I can't even contact them because I can't talk to a human and it keeps saying I don't have an account with them! Currently online they have a unit the same size as mine for 1/3 of what I am paying so there's that is how much they value their customers. read more

We purchased a house in Norman but sold our house sooner than expected. We needed to store a four bedroom house for a few weeks. Kristi handled all the details professionally and politely. She moved the location because the first unit had a leak, so to prevent any damaged furniture, she assigned us another unit. Then, the movers got delayed and did not deliver the furniture. I asked the movers to deliver the furniture directly to the new house. Kristi cancelled our reservation when I asked. She was very pleasant to deal with! Thank you! read more

I rented one unit and went back the next week for another unit. Same size, same location but was more expensive snd I had to pay another $29 "administration fee". There is only a kiosk at my location so I'm not able to talk to a person. They also charge you insurance until you prove you have your own. They also charge you for their lock unless they approve your own lock and then it's almost impossible to get credit back. I will say the area is clean. read more

Just rented a unit a couple days ago because of a busy schedule we ended up getting locked in so me friend tried calling the office to get someone to let use out no one answered so she went and knocked on the door of the manager he opened the door and put a gun to her for head and started yelling at her it was after 9 which is closing to but it was only 1030 he refused to listen that we just needed out and just yelled and cussed cos we was in there after hours and wouldn't let us leave I ended up having to call 911 just to get out once the police came and told him he had to let us out he started arguing with the police he finally let us out after the police threatened to take him to jail he was still arguing with them when we left read more

When I first got the unit, the price was reasonable. The unit had NO electricity, so we couldn't see anything in the evenings. The following January, the price went up by $20 per month. Still wasn't too bad, but not what we were happy paying. The following January, the price jumped another $50. Same unit, same no electricity, why the jump in price? That is absolutely ridiculous and a rip off. There is no reason for the price to jump at all, considering that no electricity is being used and therefore, no extra charges. I would not recommend this storage facility. Very disappointed. read more

Had the storage for 10 years no problem. February 1 found out someone had cut off my lock and put a different lock on it. Manager was no help. Had to cut the lock off and put another lock on, things were missing. Then tried to claim the insurance that they make you buy it doesn't cover it because there was a lock on it no forced entry. Run away from here do not rent from here. Sounds like a scam to get to sell your items you can't claim insurance but you have to pay every month and have to buy their insurance! I have no problem with the facility itself, my issue is with the auto pay option. It doesn't matter if you set it up on a credit/debit card or use your bank account directly it will not pull your payment and you will be charged a $20 late fee. I have set this up 3 times and I've had to pay a $20 late fee every time. When I complained to the staff about it I was told it's a system error not an individual error. So, if you are going to rent a unit please be aware that you will need to go online each month to pay your bill. read more

I am amazed that this location is still in operation. When it was Switzer's they were very friendly, provided a truck free-of-charge for you to move your things in, and if you wanted auto-debit for your payment it was easy, seemless, and reliable. One of the biggest selling features of Switzer's was that all units had alarms included in the cost. When they sold to Public Storage, PS disabled/removed the alarms, got rid of the complementary moving truck, went UP on the rates, changed their financial account-debit system so that if your bank (for whatever reason) has a hiccup during the payment, you have to go in (you can't call) to manually make the payment in person, AND (here's the clencher), YOU HAVE TO SETUP YOUR AUTO-DRAFT ALL OVER AGAIN........Really??.....Seriously??........I haven't even mentioned the rudest district manager I've ever come in contact with. We've had multiple storage units there (With Switzer's) since 2005 but we're moving as soon as possible. For some reason, the friendliness and customer service wasn't included in the sale. We are very pleased with this facility. It takes common sense to understand these businesses. It is run by one person at a time. Therefore if the golf cart is not out front it means they are assisting another customer on the lot and will be back after looking at or locking a storage. I have had to wait twice but they always return within 5- 10 minutes. It is a small run business so no there arent a handful of people available. The insurance I chose is $11.99 a month. Which is very reasonable. You do have to choose an insurance plan. Their rates in Moore and better than the rates in Norman and offered the $1 for first month. There is also a $20 one time fee. Fair enough. $36 to start. $13 on the 1st and no payment until August 1st. I am pleased. Storage unit is clean, cool and the size I needed. I all but ran from the previous unit I tried to rent. It was dingy, dirty, and had a waiver for rats so I was very pleased when I found public storage. It is also on a slant so water runs down and it won't ever flood into the units. My storage is at the back and it's a pretty good incline front the front to the back of the property. Thumbs up! read more

Renting a storage unit from Public Storage on 19th Street in Moore, Oklahoma was the worst experience I've had with any business in Moore in 21 years. I Rented a unit to store my late wife's belongings. Prepaid. Setup auto pay. Gave the agent a printed copy of my routing and account number. She entered it. Got confirmat ion and emailed a receipt. She told me I had to buy their insurance. I explained I had a good homeowners policy. She said no, I must buy theirs, "Corporate" policy. We moved my wife's belongings in the same day. Two days later I get an email stating I have a late payment and I now owe them 103 dollars. I called and was told they would fix it. Over the next 10 days I got 10 emails adding an additional 25 dollars each day. I kept calling and kept getting the same answer. The manager made the excuse my bank was refusing the charges. I went to the bank met with my bank manager. Public Storage never tried to debit my account. The manager looked at the paperwork provided by Brian of Public Storage. I called him, reviewed the correct numbers and he assured me that he would have John the district manager fix it. Well he didn't fix it. The emails kept coming, I kept calling. Finally I called corporate and asked to speak to John the district manager. I was given a bad number called back explained. The corporate agent checked it, came back and said yep your right. I don't have a good number. She gave me Traceys number the Regional manager. Called it no answer and no call back. Drove to the location, explained again what was happening. Told I was in luck! Both John and Tracey would be there in 5 minutes and I could speak to them face to face. I waited over an hour. The agent was obviously on the phone with them. Finally the agent said they cancelled their visit and John fixed my problem remotely. I then went to my locker and found it locked out. Keep in mind I had my payment receipts, auto pay confirmation and the managers assurance that they were fixing the issue. I found they had locked me out. I came back to the office and confronted the agent. She told me I was only doing what I was told. She removed the lock. I removed all my property and took it to Rock Creek Storage. It is cleaner, cheaper, and was able to set auto pay up correctly the first time. I will never do business with Public Storage again. I researched this behavior and found the same exact issues on multiple reviews on Facebook, Yelp, and Google. Seems Public Storage has had multiple class action lawsuits filed for their insurance policy behavior. Just today another incident concerning due to lack of effective security. This occurred in Charleston, SC. Look at all the reviews. Moore, Oklahoma, to Florida To California. Look at the reviews yourself. My experience isn't an isolated experience. Vote with your feet and checkbook. Store your possessions where the people care and treat you with respect. Moore has many choices pick one, do your research, most are cheaper, cleaner, and have management staff that care and followup. read more

We've had a unit here for five years. Always had nice people working there.... then Public Storage took over. I went in today to have the unit changed over in to my mother's name because her things are all that's left in there. Makes sense, right? Apparently not... Last time I saw a manager that unprofessional was at McDonald's. After we waded through the construction to get to the front door, because there was no tape up so I assumed that was the way in, he rolled his eyes at me and told me about the other way in. Ok, at this point I get he's unprofessional, but I can deal with it for a minute just to get this done. Then when I tell the girl at the desk what we're there to do he looks up from his phone (yes from his phone, like some junior high girl talking to her friends at lunch, except he must be 50) and tells us to switch over to mom's name we'll have to move our stuff out for seven days then bring it back. I told him if I have to move it out I'm not going to bring it back (he's looking back at his phone now). He said, "company policy", but this time he didn't bother looking up from his phone. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I don't recommend it. I'm going to move our stuff to the place there on 4th and Eastern this weekend. I hear they're veteran friendly. Maybe they'll look up from their phones long enough to help us out. read more

Horrible customer service, the gates were always broken and left open, climate controlled was a joke.... my furniture and boxes were in there for less than 8 months and they were covered in mold. They increase prices constantly too. Would never recommend them. Can't ever get the property manager to call you back either. read more

My daughter and I rented a unit from here. They are good units. The lady was wonderful when we walked in. Super friendly. Name was Tiffany. But what they don't advertise on the website when you are looking to rent your unit is that you are required to purchase the insurance. They wait unit you are in the office and they stick another couple of dollars to your bill every month. I am all about having insurance for my stuff, but please make sure that I have it on the website so that when I take my money into the office I have exactly what I need. Also, don't be late because they charge you late fees. When you get your electronic notification it does NOT tell you why you have an additional fee on there. It just has it there. Also, the trash can is not for tenant use. Just FYI. We haven't had any problems with our storage. But the managers have changed 3 times since we have had our units and that only in the last 6 months. But overall, good location. No problems paying online with their website. and great neighbors. read more

Unprofessional from the word go. Major complaints: When they were purchased from Switzer's at this location, they lowered the prices on unit rental. *BUT* only for NEW customers. Letters, emails and calls to their district manager, yielded no "give" at all. Ok, it's business. Then, four emails over the last two weeks informing me that they had the right to demand cash, and to auto-debit my bank account using the information on any check I might pay them with. Business, again, but now the warnings started to go off. I did them a solid a couple weeks ago...went to pull some items out of my unit and found that the gate was blocked wide open on a Sunday and no one was on the site. I called it in to their 24/7 "customer service" number and reported it. The guy on the phone was friendly and thanked me. Fine. Why was that gate open, again? Today was the last straw. A accusatory letter in the mail from Public Storage saying that they had asked me to fill out a new contract in October of 2016, and that I hadn't. Sorry, wrong, I most certainly *did* and so did every one else who was in that office or on the phone when I went by there a couple of hours ago to take care of it. Every interaction I have had with Public Storage has given me the impression that they think I'm a deadbeat, and I've honored my contract with them to the letter since day one. I do not recommend Public Storage for any purpose. read more
