I've rented 3 units from this location and don't really have any complaints aside from the gate not working on one occasion. Very convenient with the app to open the gate from your phone although the facility without the kiosk has an issue where my phone isn't within range upon entry even though I'm right in front of the gate and next to the keypad. No one within the organization even at the headquarters knows how to fix a basic email issue. It took me four hours running from storage facility to storage facility to find a person working. No one was there at either location. I luckily found one gentleman online that was able to bill me an email account separate from what I had And start the process all over then you made me pay for a $19 lock which I had the exact same lock in hand but no one was at the facility to verify my lock. The property manager does not answer or return phone calls. I needed my lock cut and was contacted by the Baymeadows location after having to reach out to customer service agent online to come by and purchase a new lock and sign the release form on last Thursday, 3/21. I was told by the guy there that the lock would be cut on Friday, 3/22. I went to visit my storage unit and the lock had not been cut. I tried calling the property manager and left a voicemail, and then I spoke to an agent on the chat. I was told they would call me on 3/28. No one called me back this morning. I spoke to the agent this morning to report this location. A few minutes later, the Baymeadows location called me and told me they would get in contact with their locksmith. After literally 2 minutes, the person calls back to say they couldn't get in contact with her but surprisingly the district manager Laura Neil said that I have to hire my own locksmith. I called her office 3 times and left one voicemail message and have not received a return call. I should not have to hire my own locksmith after Public Storage stated that they would accomplish this task last week and have not done their job as promised. They literally had a week to get this done. They are aware that I need to move out on time and that today is the only I have available. I did manage to get a refund on the lock I purchased from them on last Thursday. I found out from a local hardware store that I was the 3rd person that week to come in to find a tool to pick the lock and complain about this company. When it comes to moving out they will give you a hard time and the run around. They are ok when trying to move in because they want your money, but when it is time to move out they will give you a hassle. This place will find a way to scam you. It's safe to say Public Storage completely lied about the courtesy lock cut service they claim they offer. read more

I moved in here and was told the rate "would never change." They have nearly doubled my rate and on the rare occasion they return a phone call... I must threaten to even get a phone call back. They have been telling me they "sent me a notice" by mail. Ok... not ok, not fair! I have not had my stuff stored there for even 6 months yet. Soon, I will take this to the BBB. Here's to hoping I get my original, promised rate. Update: STILL TERRIBLE! I got a call from the district manager that informed me I aM getting a "great deal" and that they intend upon raising my rate again as soon as theyy possibly can you get it up to what THEY waNt to make. Had a great experience Sunday getting a storage unit with Public Storage here in Jacksonville. They are one of the few storage places that are open on Sundays. I called the toll free number, they took my information. They sent me a link. Not long after that I got a call from a very professional but friendly local manager from a sister facility down the road. i finished filling in my info and payment information while I was on the phone with her. She stayed on the phone with me and walked me through using the App to get in and out of the facility. She also gave me the manual entry code as well. Even though a manner was not on duty at the actual facility I was it, they had a lock all ready for me in the unit. Very very easy process!! read more

Charged a late fee after refusing MULTIPLE efforts by my bank to mage auto payment on and after due date. They have now been paid TWICE for the same month and not acknowledged. DO NOT COME HERE! We were told we were a few days late on our payments but did not receive phone calls, emails or letters regarding the situation. We tried to get an item out of the unit, and they had another lock on there and told us we were not allowed to have our things until we paid $180!!! How is it that we have had this storage unit for a month and owe $180 when the website said we only owed $50?! Rachel was not helpful at all. She yelled at me and even had the decency to fart and make the whole room smell like absolute shit when I was trying to make a payment. I told her the payment amount was bullshit and then she asked for cash only! Yea right.... I see your game here. This place has a whole bunch of hidden fees and is legally not allowed to hold our stuff hostage after a few days of late payments. They never even contacted us!!! read more

Don't every rent here, not only will your stuff get ruined and they will take zero responsibility, but also they increase your rate every few months. I went from spending $80 to over $200 for an air conditioned unit that leaked on my furniture and destroyed $4,000 worth of furniture and they won't don't anything to make it right. i been renting off the San pablo rd public storage for 4 years now and they switched companies from cubesmart. cube smart was so professional and good to their customers then this horrible unprofessional public storage came in. spiked all the prices and fees. if you pay your amount due late you have to pay the following month too if not it'll get auctioned. i tried to downgrade my unit 3 times and their system wouldn't allow the lady to do it. horrible service. their online customer service always advise to call the office and i can't when I'm at work or they don't answer. oh and now they make you pay for your own lock through them (more to charge the customer) you can't bring your own lock, like cubesmart use to. it's horrible i don't recommend. read more

I would NOT use this place to put anything. If something goes wrong they wont do anything and never return phone calls. Erin Schlund is the manager but never returns calls. The door to my unit was broken and there for the rain came in and socked some boxes, also was supposed to be climate controlled but with the door open how is that possible. DO NOT RENT HERE. THE $1 FIRST MONTH IS A LIE, THEY RIPPED ME OFF. I was told $1 for the first month and $52 every month after that. When I called to make a reservation they added a $19.99 administration fee which was ridiculous but they had the best prices compared to anyone else. I was told I would pay $20 up front, which was on the 26th of the month. After taxes, fees, a $20 lock that they made you buy, I ended up paying about $50 up front. I almost cried. Then just a week later on the 1st of Feb, I had to pay another $12!!!!! (that was supposed to be their great deal I guess) When I told the person I talked to over the phone that I was upset, he tried to tell me I didn't talk to him, that I talked to corporate in California which was a lie. I am cancelling this as soon as I can afford to get ANOTHER moving truck and storage unit. read more

Total bait and switch moved into town and reserved a unit online they never had and when I got there now need 2 units and not a/c on either. No someone calls me and says I need to pay. I just moved in on the 18th of Sept. It is now the 2nd of Oct. She was rude and hung up on me. I would not throw my garbage out at this facility. The area manger never got back to me and the property manager never told me this unit was not on property when I called. HORRIBLE!!!! read more
