We ordered the bavarian veal sausage with fresh pretzel and sweet mustard, the fraconian grilled sausages with homemade sauerkraut, and the black lentil salad with celery. After some deliberation, we turned the menus back over to our hostess (who I also believe was a co-owner of the restaurant) and simply asked if they would bring out a couple of each item on the sampler menu and a few of the five or six main entrées that we wanted to try. That begin about an hour of culinary experience not to be forgotten. There is no better way to experience German cuisine! Each of the menu items was wonderful and different and it's own unique way. We tried six or seven different types of sausage a variety of pickled vegetables, regional cheeses and other delicacies all served with a variety of great homemade bread. It is a creative way with sun-dried tomato and caramelized toppings with artichokes but it was not our kind of taste. It was also a bit too oily for our taste. Summary: Monella offers great authentic Italian Napolitano pizza. The ingredients are fresh the service is nice and you can't go wrong if you live close by. Compared to other Napolitano pizza spots in Berlin I would rate this to be good. We have had better Napoletana pizza in Berlin but this one is a solid one and definitely worth a visit. Note that during the weekends it can be pretty crowded so make sure to reserve a table.
