Unexpected Gem Wanted to try this place as the reviews were good and we were not disappointed. They take no reservations so we showed up just after 5:35 pm on a Thursday & took the last table for 3 by the window. The building is unassuming but don't let this fool you. Our meal was fantastic. Down-to-earth dishes, with fresh ingredients and well balanced flavours and textures. Amazing creations with rose jelly, elderberry & kiwi. Mostly local ingredients There was only one person serving/hosting but she was so friendly and a total dynamo so don't expect to have a quick meal here as the point is to relax, enjoy the moment and savor every bite. Presenration was simple but elegant and every dish was so incredibly satisfying in every sense. We have eaten in great restaurants in France and Québec; and Le Saint-Honoré ranks high up there without any pretense, just by doing what they love using the best ingrédients they can source & combining classic with new nuances! Will definitely come back next time we are in the Gaspésie!

We got the: - Fisherman Platter: Fried seafood goodness. The fry wasn't overly oily and the batter not overly thick. The seafood itself also tasted fresh enough. A bit pricey at $1i, but good enough to share. - Seafood Chowder: Chowder was really creamy, and good enough chunks of seafood. Again, a tad pricey at $7.50 bit pretty good for a cool fall day. - Banana Split Square: Whoa that was surprisingly good. Tasted like a banana cream pie, with cherries to make it like a split. Enjoyed that more than expected. - Chocolate Peanut Butter Ball: Smooth peanut butter filling that I could eat for days. If you're in the area and need a bite to eat, Chez Wes is worth a try.

It got a little spotty as they got busier. We were first to arrive at the restaurant. The food was very good. The sides of vegetables and 1/2 a potato were the same for all the seafood dishes. Three different fish dish were ordered and all were done just right (I sampled the salmon and halibut in addition to my plate of cod). We were just a little disappointed by the small serving of sides. We all had desserts which were very good.

Extremely Disappointing Experience -- Poor Food and Appalling Service…read more I had a horrible experience at this restaurant. We spent over $200, and the food, service, and overall treatment we received were completely unacceptable. Here is exactly what went wrong during our visit: Extremely Loud Atmosphere:The restaurant was so incredibly loud that we couldn't even hear our server. Because of the noise, we missed her explaining how they make their chicken burgers, which resulted in us getting toppings and sauces we would have otherwise asked to leave off. Terrible Food Quality & Service: The fish we ordered was severely overcooked and incredibly dry. When one of my friends mentioned that she didn't like the fish because of how dry it was, the server actually snatched the plate away while she was still in the middle of eating her fries. They never offered to replace the meal, get her something else, or take the inedible food off the bill. Charged for an Accident:As we were leaving, my friend accidentally tipped over a glass and it broke. Instead of being understanding, the staff told us we had to pay for the broken glass something I have never experienced at any reputable establishment. Despite taking a meal away mid-bite and offering zero accommodations or refunds for the dry fish, they made us pay the entire $200+ bill. To top it all off, they still had the audacity to ask for a tip after treating us so poorly. Save your hard-earned money and go to a restaurant that actually values its customers and provides basic hospitality. I will absolutely never be returning.
