It's self-service and there are plenty of tables. It's very clean inside. I ordered the pickled vegetables but they didn't have them and the woman was so apologetic. I told her it was no problem. They have a handful of herring flavours (maybe 8-10 total) varying from traditional to experimental. I opted for one of the more unusual ones - the Thai flavoured. I was shocked at how good the Thai flavours were!! It was like having curry from a Thai restaurant. It also complemented the herring so well which I wasn't expecting. The herring itself was different from the pickled, slimy herring I've had before. It was more of a baked/flaky fish. I actually preferred that. It also came with complimentary bread which I wasn't expecting. The bread was just okay (pretty dry) but I used it to mop up the extra curry sauce. The herring + a vodka was 30 PLN. Maybe a bit costly but not bad! Overall would recommend!

Seating is challenging as there's very few indoor seats available. While outdoor seating is available, there are a lot of smokers, and you're crammed into limited outdoor space. It gets crowded, especially when they block off some reserved tables. The metal chairs are packed into tight quarters, and I constantly bumped into people getting in and out of seat. Despite the unpleasant seating experience, I had the most delicious herrings and enjoyed the sauces here! The MUST ORDER item is The Herrings Platter, which has 4 flavors: Mustard (mustard seed and honey sauce), Yellow (curry raisins and honey), Hot & Spicy (abodabo chipotles), Pink (beetroots and cream). Baked Penne with Chicken was mediocre, but portion size was generous.

The restaurant is super cute - very rustic inside and also has outdoor patio garden seating. My hotel doesn't include breakfast but i found this place mere minutes away that had a breakfast buffet on the menu (you can also order à la carte but I don't know why you would skip the buffet. You pay up front and it was 45 zloty which is such a good deal (like $12 USD) for what you get. The spread is amaaaaaaaazing! The variety is huge. They had cereals, different breads, pastries, charcuterie, veggies, spreads, hummus, yogurt, and hot food too like scrambled eggs, kielbasa, grilled veggies, zapiekanki, and bacon. And it was just so beautiful the way it was laid out. For drinks, they had coffee, tea (earl grey for me!), apple juice, orange juice, and water. There might've been a pitcher of a smoothie but wasn't 100% sure. Some things were labeled, but not everything. The tomatoes the label said was from their garden. I got a little bit of everything to try for the first round and it was so much fun. It was also super filling. My second go-around I got my favorites - the eggs, kielbasa, the cauliflower from the grilled veggies, the homemade bread, & this beet dish. I am in a heavy state of food coma right now but i'll be walking this off today in Old Town later. I loved this place so much that I'm seriously considering going back for breakfast again tomorrow!

Historical Romantic Lush, look at the gilded room or cordovan leather wallpaper, everything was thought through and exuded luxury and upper crust. Saw a couple here celebrating their anniversary, in the other room saw a large party celebrating a birthday, romantic dinner for another couple by the window seat. Perfect evening. ***SERVICE: White gloved coordinated service, think Downton Abbey, waiters lifting the silver trayed cloches all at once and clanging them as if announcing your grand feast has begun. WOW! So cool and so entertaining. Was not expecting that. Old world white gloved and Black & White suited waiters WOW so impressive. They cleared our plates and replaced with fresh dishes after every course, swept crumbs off the table and silverware replaced with every course and with the correct silverware for next course. Classy and correct etiquette. Chef provided us a complimentary amuse bouche. Soup poured tableside (another AHMAZING display of service). Loved every minute of our dining EXPERIENCE here. ***RECOMMEND: HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place and would DEFINITELY GO BACK if we are ever back in Krakow. ***MEAL: Everything was beautifully plated as well and the flavours were so creative. The pork tenderloins came with about six pieces and smothered in a creamy mushroom sauce. The pork was tender and seasoned well. Roasted potatoes was lightly salted. The fresh side salad was a refreshing balance to my overall heavy meal. The Placki Ziemniaczane (potato pancakes) was fried and very crunchy. The flavors wasn't purely potato as there was something else mixed in but couldn't quite identify it.
