It was a great mix of historical facts along side ghost stories. The hour was just about 1.5 hours starting on Commercial Street and was just about a mile long. She was able to accommodate us at the very last minute to make Emily's GHASTLY birthday dreams come true! Angela was an amazing story teller. She presented the history of Provincetown and it's SORDID past in a way that was engaging and enthusiastic. She was clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about her CRAFT. Our highlight of the night had to be the cemetery where we got to explore on our own and even peak through the windows of HAUNTED mausoleums. It was the perfect balance of history and GHOSTS. 10 out of 10 DYING to return!

Just the 3 of our EMF meters lit up like crazy 2 different times (when we were talking to the Dr) there were other people in the room and their EMF meters did nothing. It was exciting!

She was incredibly knowledgeable, full of energy, and genuinely passionate about whales and nature. You could tell this is more than just a job for her. She even had a whale tattoo on her leg, which made her love for these incredible animals even more authentic. We learned so much from her, and it was refreshing to have a guide so excited to share her knowledge. She kept pointing out the whales as they surfaced, and her timing was perfect, just when you thought the action had moved on, she would spot another humpback breaching or lifting its tail before diving back down. If you can, try to get on one of Sophie's tours. I've been on whale watching tours before, but I have never seen anything like this. Our four kids were beyond excited as we saw what felt like 40 to 60 humpback whales. The boat ride itself was fantastic, with the salty spray in the air and everyone crowding the rails every time a whale came up close. It was one of the most incredible wildlife experiences we have ever had. At first, I thought the tour was a little pricey, but as my son said, "Dad, this was worth every dollar. You should have paid more." He was right. We happily tipped Sophie and the crew on our way out because they absolutely earned it. If you are visiting Provincetown, do not miss this experience. It was one of the highlights of our trip, and I would recommend it to anyone.

We also viewed at least a dozen whales on voyage. They have a whale specialist to identify and provide more detail on the various species. Great for kids. The second trip in 2025 did not have as many opportunities to view a whales but they went out of their way to locate whales. Boat is very comfortable and offers food and beverages. It was a hot, humid, muggy day, but the breeze of moving at ten or twelve miles an hour was comfortable, and maybe 20mph down hill. Highly recommend if walking longer distances is not comfortable. Our host Melinda was so wonderful; she was so friendly, engaging, and informative. We had a wonderful on the dune trail, loved the topless jeep. Even stopped on top of a dune and was able to take scenic pics. It was a great experience. A very personal service and one we will remember.

THE WHALES PERFORMED While on the cape, I knew we needed to see whales. We came at the right time of the year and with Captain John Boats offering that 99% success rate for seeing whales on all their trips, I knew we would have to at least see one. AND WE DID. We boarded from the Provincetown dock and as soon as we were leaving on our way out I'd say not even 5 minutes in, we spot the first little guy: a mola mola (I believe that was the name!). That was super cool but moments after, we get to encounter, LIVE, first row to the 2nd largest animal in the WORLD: the fin whale Let that sink in: the second largest animal in the world. The largest being the blue whale. Like WHAT??????????? I got to witness this gorgeous masterpiece of creation feeding and living its best life FIRST row. Despite it staring to rain, wind picking up, temperatures dropping, we kept it together and stayed at the top floor of the boat where we kept getting soaked. Was it worth it? Was IT-WORTH-it? The moment will always and forever repeat in my mind when that fin whale made its appearance and all I could do was scream in excitement and look in AWE. It as for sure a tear jerking moment and something I will always remember. What a highlight. We also saw porpoises just casually hanging out and being SO cute we thought they were dolphins AND got to see a humpback whale. I mean, it was a SHOW. Theatre of the ocean worth way more than what we paid for. Thank you to Captain Josh and the crew for being so amazing and incredible. BEYOND disappointed. I am in shock even writing this review, having been left behind on the dock…read morewith three others. When entering the dock in Provincetown, this kind lady told us to be back at 4:30PM. But, for some reason, us running down the pier at 4:31PM about 10 feet from the dock... the boat had already left? I'm sorry but it takes about 5-10 minutes at least to undock the boat, so you're telling me the boat was GONE and in the WATER by 4:32PM? Beyond ridiculous. Read the email back from the ticket, maybe next time list that parties should be back BY 4:15PM. Key emphasis on the "BY"... not be back AT 4:30PM. Never will be riding again with this charter.

It's our first time to Ptown!…read more For years we have listened people gush about Ptown. Mostly gay seasonal events in the summer but I have always considered it to be too gay perhaps. This year we elected a summer vacation that included two weeks on the east coast and up through Canada and decided to come here and see what all the hype is about. Our first and strongest impressions are a similarity to burning man. A very creative and artist themed vibe surrounded by mobs of people (tourists) who are looking for an escape from the realities of life their dull suburban lives. Lots of activities centered around drinking and nightlife! We were there during shoulder season and I have to say that if that's the slow season, the peak season must be madness. It was the annual Ptown film festival and some other smaller event which felt like a big event. Throngs of people everywhere! We found the food to be ok and expensive. Lots of bars and nightlife...that's what its all about here. See and be seen. We went to a show one evening that was a hilarious drag comedy show and narrowly avoided being drug onto the stage but damn it was funny. We hiked out to the beach, across to the spit and wandered all over the island trying to take in as mush as possible in three short weekend days. The drive out was pretty easy although I know that it can be horrible during peak season. Definitely take the ferry or water shuttle if at all possible. We had great accommodations, close to the action but far from the noise if that makes sense. Fun memories but little to draw me back given all that there is to see in the world.

What's not to love about Provincetown? It is full of fun stores, great bars, delicious food and so…read moremuch more. Walking around today we sat by the water feeling the breeze on our faces. We stopped to have a drink as well as to shop. Despite being mid-September the streets were full of people having a wonderful time.
