So when I hobbled into…read moreAdvantage PT for my first appointment with Logan Bannon I was two weeks post op from my total knee replacement. I had just gone from needing a walker to a walking stick. I still had to use a strap to get my leg into bed or up onto the plinth and literally couldn't lift my leg a hairs breath without that strap. Logan didn't roll his eyes, shake his head or chuckle at me. He just started me right off and pushed me to a strong ache but not true pain. I always worked up a sweat but never reached the point of swearing at him. We worked together twice a week for about three months on knee movement, strength, and overall balance. Although this is a busy clinic you aren't tripping over each other and it gives you an opportunity to watch other therapists. They all appeared very professional, supportive and friendly and the clients were kind of role models for me. When Logan and I agreed that although I still needed to keep up the exercises I didn't need the support anymore I 'graduated'. I have to admit I miss the friendly faces and Logan's intelligence and wit. Redmond has several PT clinics to choose from and I checked most of them out before my surgery. Advantage was the one that seemed most professional with a clean and bright working area and not once have I regretted my choice.

My lower back, hips and core have been weak due to the multiple pregnancies as well as prior injuries so my pelvic floor doesn't have much support. Kerri has taught me all the important exercises that target tiny support muscles I've neglected for years and I feel myself finally getting stronger. I wasn't sure I'd be able to do much with the pain and aches that was often debilitating and kept seeming to pop up on different locations but Kerri is definitely a pro and I'm excited about the progress we've been making! I've been to many PTs before for different ongoing injuries and Kerri is by far my favorite. The office is also clean, spacious and I like that treatment areas are more private than in some other offices. Though my interactions with others is minimal, everyone else I've engaged with has been super friendly and efficient.

I have had the great pleasure of being treated by physical therapists Bret (whom I have dubbed "The…read moreDr. House of PT") and Chrissy (an incredibly knowledgeable PT), as well as the massage wizard Jenny (I honestly don't understand how she can figure out so much of what's going on in my body just with a simple touch!). Like many patients, I came to Dr. Bret due to a series of complex and persistent medical issues that weren't getting better with other approaches, including rheumatoid arthritis (chronic), whiplash (acute, from a car accident), costochrondritis (inflammation of where the rib meets the sternum), thoracic outlet syndrome (nerve compression causing numbness/tingling down my left arm), and an overall very deconditioned state due to some other issues. I first arrived at his office feeling overwhelmed, tired, scared but vaguely hopeful. In just over 6 months, Bret, Chrissy, and Jenny (ok, along with some other MVP providers in other disciplines) have helped reduce SO many of my symptoms (pain, numbness, tingling) and have taught me how to problem solve a lot of different ways I approach tasks in my life so that I'm putting my body in the best position for success long term. Regarding Bret, YES he has a long wait list, and YES it's worth it. I've been a chronic illness patient for 15 years and I'm also an occupational therapist (a field somewhat similar to PT) so I feel I have a little more of an expert lens through which to provide this review than perhaps the average person who only has one or two health issues. I have had many wonderful health providers, but I know how rare it is to behold a person who is 100% present and clearly in their element, and Bret is definitely in that category. Bret thrives on the complicated, unusual cases and knows his discipline inside and out, yet he also respects the psychosocial dimensions of care, which isn't always the case with people in his field. One last thing: if you get evaluated by Bret, you might then get seen weekly by another therapist. Don't be afraid of that! Bret appears to oversee all the other therapists, and also a brief review of various review sites will show you that he has an absolutely fabulous team of therapists under his wing. I cannot recommend this facility highly enough!

I have used MTI Physical Therapy for two/three separate issues/injuries…read more Shoulder - Years back, I had a shoulder injury and worked with Michael Okada for about 2 months. He was able to diagnose some improper shoulder mechanics that eventually led to my injury and help me through a training program (and education) to strengthen and essentially re-teach my body to properly displace weight properly. My shoulder strength is much stronger now and I also now strength train with much better form when doing chest and shoulder workouts without the shoulder strain I used to get. Ankle pain - I went in for a Running Analysis with Robin McGuire. Two separate sessions, one for initial review and second for analysis and go forward plan. She was able to help diagnose certain areas that were lacking flexibility and strength that were causing a bit of ankle pain even in shorter 2-3 mile runs. With the training and strength program, it definitely helped me increase my runs and eventually get to the half marathon race I was aiming for 2 months later. Hamstring/Lower Leg Injury - Sadly only a month after my Half Marathon race (July 2025), I badly injured my leg/back due during a furniture moving accident. To the point where I was not even able to walk without intense pain or limping for about 2 weeks. I went back to Robin and we had to completely revamp my physical therapy program, as I still had hopes plans to do a Half Marathon in September, October, and then my first full Marathon in January 2026. Robin worked with me great, lots of education and helping diagnose a deeper variety of issues I had going on with my body mechanics that was beyond just the initial ankle injuries. A training program that modified as my mobility and strength built. Needless to say, I was able to do the two half marathons (first one was power walking), and actually run the entire Marathon in January which is impressive once again considering only 5-6 months prior I couldn't walk. The MTI Bellevue office has great hours and its a nice clean facility, front staff is always professional. Sessions always start on time. I highly recommend MTI Bellevue for any physical therapy and sports needs. I think all the team is great. I highly recommend Robin especially for anyone who is working on foundation/baseline for running.

Walking down stairs or going long distances was painful, and honestly, I was pretty skeptical that physical therapy would help. But Robin completely changed my mind. For the first time in years, I can walk downstairs and cover long distances without pain. That's something I didn't think was possible. I'm incredibly grateful for her dedication and skill. Robin is simply awesome! Ask for her by name!

I have been going to Advantage Physical therapy for the last five weeks to address the beginnings…read moreof an Achilles tendonitis flare-up. Working with both Anthony and Pina has produced excellent results in just the short amount of time that I've been under their care. Though Anthony is newer in his career, he brings a lot of knowledge about the latest physical therapy practices. He is also particularly good at listening to my description of how my body is responding to exercises that we are testing out. He takes my description and is very responsive to adjusting the level of intensity exercises that we are testing out to provide an appropriate amount of load on my Achilles tendon. Before seeing Anthony, I didn't realize that it was possible to vary the load on muscles, tendons and ligament by using different exercises that work the same areas. My focus in seeing Pina has been to get Astym therapy. Astym therapy is is a physical therapy treatment that regenerates healthy soft tissues (muscles, tendons, etc.), and eliminates or reduces unwanted scar tissue that may be causing pain or movement restrictions. This is now my third time getting Asytm therapy for Achilles tendonitis related issues. Pina has been the most thorough of the physical therapists that I've seen for Astym therapy. In addition, she provided exercises as part of the Astym therapy along with clear explanations of why those exercises are useful. Although I had already done Astym twice before, I now have a much fuller understanding of how the method works from Pina's detailed explanation. I've seen marked improvements in my symptoms after only 2.5 weeks. I will definitely plan to return periodically in the future for a "tune-up" to address the scar tissue and stiffness built up over time from being a dedicated older cyclist and runner.
