Vita is state of the art physical therapy. Dry needling, specific stretches with a plan for exercises I do at home They provide personal one on one treatment. I'm overwhelmed by their proficiency and treatment. Let's be honest. All PT Phds have Doctorates. Vita personnel have added education and are better qualified. In closing....Thank You Vita!!!!

The evaluation is molded by the person working with you. At Vita I was fortunate to be assigned to Joe. He is cerebral and knowledgeable with an eclectic array of skills. His multi-faceted approach is ideal for someone such as myself, as templates never fit. I am not the norm. Joe understands movement, strength, body manipulation, and the gestalt of health. My aches, inflexibility, and aging are handled with analysis, searching for what in his bag of tricks will work best. Joe is like a Zen Master, and I leave Vita feeling exponentially better. The facility itself is clean, modern and comfortable, with enough space to feel private. Jennifer, Barit, and Gina, the front desk staff, greet you with a down to earth welcome, but they are also worldly, in a refreshing manner. My conversations are always enlightening, plus they are organized and keep the scheduling together. They use technology to make everything seamless. I have encountered PT in an array of cities throughout the United States. Vita is the best of them all.

I had a very bad experience at this place that had rather drastic consequences…read more First I should mention that sometimes physical therapists maximize their income by having more than one patient per hour. They can bill twice as much. What they do is show a client an exercise, have the client do the exercise by themselves, go help someone else, then go back to the original client while client 2 is doing their exercise. The PT goes back and forth. Of course this means that the therapist doesn't watch the client do the exercise to make sure that they're doing it the right way. If you don't do the exercise the right way, you can make things worse But sometimes what the patient needs is not an exercise but manual therapy to loosen tight, guarded muscles and increase range of motion. This is both time and labor intensive. I went to Southern Lakes because it was very near where I lived. I needed to rehab my shoulder after shoulder surgery. Southern Lakes is organized in a very strange way. Therapy assistants do the therapy and then go to the owner, a physical therapist, when they have questions and so forth. In other words, you don't necessarily get seen by the actual physical therapist. The worst problem was that I didn't need exercises at all. I needed to have my range of motion increased after the surgery. But I didn't know this. So instead, I got the general strengthening exercises instead of the range of motion manual therapy. When I went back to the doctor, he immediately told me to go see somebody else. By then, the range of motion problem was major. So I had to be sedated and have the frozen shoulder moved manually by the doctor in a way that would have been too painful had I been awake. If I had gotten the proper treatment in the first place, I could have avoided this. I had to have the frozen shoulder procedure twice. When I explained all of this to my new therapist, he told me everything I have disclosed about the way to maximize profits. Or maybe the problem was that the therapist didn't know how to treat me. Either way, I simply wouldn't go back to this place. On the positive side, I got a t-shirt.

Had a good experience at Thera-Dynamics Physical Therapy. The receptionist, Jess, is super friendly…read moreand remembered my name. They have lots of last minute opening, which I appreciate as work schedules change. They said they are fine with canceling same day, although I didn't have to do that. Another commentor said that wasn't true. They have icing, ultrasound, electro stim, weights, an "arm treadmill" machine, and a couple more machines. The quality care is difficult to say because my issue, tennis / golfers elbow, was something that needed time, not just care. It was maybe a bit odd how even advanced scheduled switched between 3 different PTs. They do 1 on 1 attention. I liked the first appointment where I got treatment and icing in one of the small rooms and laying down. Sitting in the more open isn't as relaxing. I recommend getting to the first appointment early. There is paper work one that ate into my scheduled hour. Also the gym next store isn't attached or affiliated.

If you want to be harassed, feel unwanted as a patient, & then mocked by staff for expressing how…read morerude it is to cancel a patient's appt. with no warning, when the patient doesn't cancel the appt. but the staff just don't feel like being there (despite other patients clearly being there & receiving service), this is the place to go! Jess will give you all sorts of contradictory information & ensure that you are stressed out of your mind, while you are also dealing with accident trauma. You'll be told "It's OK if you're rushing between work & here and arrive a few minutes later, just get here when you get here," and then you'll be told, "Did you get our messages (to send you to another site without notice or without your initiating this process), all just hours before your appt. They will use that as rationale to attempt CANCELING your appt., when you left home at 8:15am this morning, arrive at 6:15pm for their appt. from work, & raced all day not having a chance to even use a bathroom since 11am, just to arrive at the time you do, and THEN ensure that you are frustrated out of your mind & flip the script to attempt to argue with you for 10min. & try to deny your appt. when you do arrive, despite your calling (which is also unsafe, in traffic/rush hour), doing everything you can, while Jess just seeks to find new ways to irritate & harass you. Then, when you ask to speak to the owner/manager, the staff will refuse to give you an email address OR a phone # to reach him (Bill) at, & even pretend to BE Bill to avoid Bill finding out about how poorly they treat customers who work for inpatient hospital systems with patients with severe issues all day, race in rush hour to get much-needed treatment, & that patients are treated so passive-aggressively & rudely that it would make most people snap. I would never recommend this place to ANYONE after today's experience, & while they have skilled PT's and massage therapists who are wonderful, none of that matters if Jess is apparently in charge & you are never allowed access to the actual services, as she continues to try continually to 1) reschedule you at her convenience, 2) refuse to acknowledge your job, your boundaries, or your limits, 3) cancel your appt. unethically without notice or cause, 4) change her story regarding policies repeatedly, 5) laugh AT you & be as disrespectful as possible after someone in recovery from an accident & trying to work f/t already had a beyond stressful day, 6) refuse to provide you with a customer complaint protocol, 7) encourage other staff to laugh & smirk at you as you are leaving when she's been rude, 8) leave you wishing you'd never considered receiving services at this place. Just do yourself the favor, and instead of attempting to make appointments and then having them canceled on you at the last minute, just don't make any appointments at all and find an entirely different business to get compassionate therapy services at, where they honor their word, and where they actually CARE about customers.

In general experiences have been fine. Not great, or exceptional, just basic and fine. Today I was running behind for my appointment, as toddlers will make you do, and when I got there 10 minutes late I was told that my appointment had been canceled. At no point in time was I made aware of this specific timeframe policy. Then the front desk called back and spoke with the nurse practitioner who was there, and still available for our scheduled appointment, but refused to see us even briefly. What kind of service is this? I understand that there is a schedule that needs to be kept, and I left work early and did my best to get my child there from day care in a timely fashion, however life happens! If you are a family practice and often see families with young children I would expect a bit more flexibility. What infuriates me the most is the fact that the nurse practitioner was there and available however refused to even see us for a short time! Why? The front desk's explanation when I brought up jow long I wait for the dr and still se him was that the dr is more flexible. Well then this nurse should get a different job or shouldn't be taking pediatric appointments. Very disappointing!
