I am 50 years old, overweight, and about as flexible as a broomstick. I have had ZERO dance or gymnastics training in my life. I've never done the splits or even a pullup. My upper body strength is lacking. And sometimes I lack confidence in myself. In just a mere 3 months of Lyra classes, Aerial Dragonfly had me performing a wide variety of moves, poses, and flows in the Lyra, and they helped me develop so much conviction in my abilities, my body type, and my age. I became stronger and much more confident, and with the encouragement of my instructors and new friends, I participated in their spring Student Showcase. I was literally performing in front of a large, supportive crowd after THREE MONTHS of learning and practicing at the Aerial Dragonfly. It was amazing! I've *never* been in a community that was so instantly supportive, fun, encouraging, and gentle. I've spent time with 4-5 instructors and learned something new every time. I've made so many friends and I look forward to seeing them every week. We really support each other and enjoy each other...from all walks of life. You have nothing to lose. You can sign up for one class at a time. You'll be amazed at what you can accomplish, and the incredible community you can become part of. Your age, your experience, your body type-none of these things will hold you back if you just give them a try. You CAN fly!

I'm proud to support a woman owned business and a Veteran owned business. I've taken two lessons so far: Lyra (aerial hoop) and trapeze. Both of my lessons have been with Dari. She is one of the owners and she's amazing! Such a patient and kind teacher. I felt instantly welcomed in the space. Such a spacious and beautiful studio! There is a parking lot too. This studio offers a variety of modalities, including aerial hammock, aerial yoga, pole dancing, Lyra, trapeze, aerial silks and more. I plan on trying everything! Plenty of mats and things to stay safe. It's easy to book classes online through their website, and they offer packages too. These are private lessons, and the prices are very reasonable. It's amazing how much I get to try and learn in one hour! Such a gift to receive one on one training like this. Wow! Fantastic workout and so much fun. I'm really grateful I found this studio. You are assigned your spot in the room. No socks are permitted. And don't even think about bringing your water bottle in with you. More importantly, there isn't a hint of instruction. He calls out the poses in "yoga-ese," and the hard core people snap into action. As for me, who has no damned clue what the words meant, I was left to scramble behind, trying to duplicate what they were doing. Poorly. The "instructor"/owner is not remotely friendly. If he is seeking additional clientele, his aloofness, if not downright hostility, certainly isn't helping his cause.

I'm really sad to be posting this. We had a very bad experience here. I think they have bad…read morebusiness practices and their classes for children are overfilled and not engaging at all. I have a son who has done aerials for a full year elsewhere. Because of Agora's policy and the way the children's classes are set up, they have the first and second tiers simultaneously. We were told that they would see if he would be advanced enough to place in the second tier within a few weeks. I've never noticed anyone actually take a second to evaluate any of the kids, but I have noticed some of the tinier, stretchier girls have been place with the second group. I get that girls are typically more limber than boys; but he is strong and skilled on the equipment.. Needless to say he's still in the first tier. So every week we go and every week he stands in line for approximately 30-40 minutes just to hang on a piece of silk or a trapeze or a Lyra for 15 seconds. We do this about 7-8 times and the hour is up. $160 for this for 8 weeks? It's disappointing. I guess my hopes were too high. Oh the other thing they get ya with is that in order for your child to be in the performance they have to register for the first course and that ends before the program, so then you must enroll in the next 8 weeks. The trip was planned out and organized with 4 different yoga sessions, a guided silent hike (so incredible), lots of free time, and seriously gourmet meals provided for breakfast and dinner each day. The lodge we stayed at was out of a movie - it was absolutely huge and so gorgeous. There's a lake on site with canoeing and paddle boating, a waterfall leading into the lake, and a covered and cushioned seat at the top of the waterfall. There's multiple firepits and fireplaces outside, and we sat outside at night and watched the stars and went in the huge hot tub. This place was seriously out of control beautiful. The weather was 60 and sunny (SO GORGEOUS SUNNY) every day and it truly made the whole experience that much more magical. Besides all the natural beauty and adventuring available on site at the lodge, it's of course right in the hocking hills area, so some of the best hikes in the US are a 5 minute drive. During the day on Saturday my sister and I hiked up to a rock climbing and repelling area and ate our lunch while watching people scale rockfaces and repel back down. It was seriously glorious. I've never been on a yoga retreat before, but this was so much fun. Jessica (owner) is an outstanding host and I just cannot stop gushing about this retreat, you guys. Her yoga practice is so caring and thought provoking and honest, it's just beautiful. Everything was great. 5 stars!
