I took a bikram or hot yoga. The room was toasty as expected, 102 degrees or so. We all had our…read moretowels and mats. I was positioned in the middle of class. I came with another couple. This wasn't my first yoga class but it was my first hot yoga. The classroom was so crowded, there was little floor space for a mat and me, but made it work. I remember the horror and disgust after midway through class that some guy in front of me was sweating so profusely, every time he would lift or drop down an arm he would splash his nasty sweat on me. This was when I decided hot yoga wasn't for me. I stayed through the end of class but I ended up getting a lot of his germs on me. This was also the same class a guy in the back row had passed out from the heat and you could hear the thud of his poor head hit the back wall. He was in the back and last row too. The class stopped briefly, he came to and some folks helped him out of class and then we kept on going as if that's normal for people to pass out and crack their heads on the back wall. Really? I still have bad memories when I think of my one hot yoga experience. I like regular yoga, will stick normal yoga, that's my jam.

You know that old phrase you put your hand up on my hip when I dip you dip we dip. Well guess what that's exactly how a twerking is taught never in a million years did I think I would know how to twerk but guess who knows now!!!!! And that wasn't even the class I signed up for. Now let me explain something to you Pole Fitness AKA aerial ballet has nothing to do with stripping it involves hard core strength training and upper body strength along with a substantial amount of course drink after all you are lifting your entire body weight up over your head and being graceful about it like to see anyone of you guys tried to do that. I also want to mention this is a competitive sport that involves working out everyday to keep your body in shape to support yourself. And to top it off to add a bit of femininity to it you're walking around and eating Shield. So anybody who has anything bad to say about this needs to check themselves go sit in the corner and contemplate life. This is an art form no different than ballet or yoga. Now that I got that out of my system let me tell you the instructor here is very intermediate and very good at teaching moves when it comes to hand placement and following through I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a new style of workout or fitness program

I guess it's fully within their rights, but it left a bad taste in my mouth, particularly given 1) I was one of only two people who had actually showed up for the class and 2) I would have returned to the class if they didn't have a policy of locking their doors and not allowing re-entry. There are so many yoga studios with great vibes in Ann Arbor that I honestly just don't see it being very likely that I return. The space looked nice though.
