Literally blown away! I had a reading with Joann on Friday, May 23rd, 2025. I specifically asked about certain subject that involved the legal system, a child and a parent incarcerated. However, yesterday (May 25th) when picking up the child at the center of all of this, I was told of the latest legal updates pertaining to this case. Right of the bat, Joanne provided clear evidence of the connection, telling me specific things about my mom and mentioning something about my dad (living) that no one would have known. DO NOT SCHEDULE WITH THIS PERSON. SHE IS A SCAM. I would rate 0 if it was possible. Believe the bad reviews, I didn't and went ahead and scheduled a "reading" anyway. I waited 6 months to get a "reading" hoping to hear from my dad who passed. I read many reviews that she rescheduled last minute or never gave a reading and took people's money anyway. Before she disputes anything written here, I have all the receipts. She texts me only hours before the scheduled reading that she is "home ill" and if I would be able to do it in 2 more weeks. It seems she is always "home ill" and rescheduling. Very fishy business going on here. If you are sick, you know sooner than only hours before your appointment, c'mon. I told her I was not interested in waiting any longer and to refund me. She said she would though complained of "technical problems with her website so it would take over a week to process a refund." I'm thinking whatever I want my money back so I waited. I waited 2 weeks and still nothing. I contacted again and she said because of the "holidays" it would be another 10 days. That's when I took it in my own hands and disputed with the bank, shown them all the receipts and they refunded me. I can't believe someone so shady and scam-y would be an actual medium, therefore it's safe to assume she is a fake, and charging $250 for 30 minutes of lies to grieving people is a shameful act. Take it from me and all the bad reviews on here to take your money elsewhere, j wish I listened to them in the first place before eagerly waiting six months only to be caught up in Joanne Gerbers scam. Hey, you need to understand that even mediums may have off-days or maybe they get bad Intel from the spirits beyond? I hate going off half-cocked and declaring anyone or be a fake when I myself cannot understand their world. I know Joanne sometimes see these so I would like to take the moment to give thanks. Look, I don't know if foreshadowing based on the spirits you communicate with can always be accurate or even right. But within the first ten or fifteen minutes of my reading you mentioned that something was wrong with my father, and you even specified that it was in his legs and that it may have to do with his heart. No one knew that at the time, only my mother and I knew that his legs were swelling up. Certainly wasn't anything on social media. A few days after he was taken to the ER due to fluid building up in his legs and an enlarged heart. That is not something that one merely makes up. I'd have given you five star if you would have been more detailed but I intentionally set my standards high as I want my word to mean something in reviews. Joanne was able to connect me to my father who passed away 3 years ago. She was accurate on everything she relayed to me. There were a few things I didn't understand until after the reading when they became clear. What Joanne and other mediums do is interpret signs and symbols from people who have passed on. It's not a message in English. You have to go into these appointments with an open mind and an understanding of what may or may not happen. Joanne can't "make" a soul communicate. The soul has to come forward and be willing. It would be a good idea if people read up on how this works before spending any money. Lastly, Joanne's job is taxing both mentally, emotionally and physically. Understanding that it can be difficult I would think that people might be more flexible. Joanne has a gift and is sharing it with us. Yes, she makes money from the readings but she has to live and eat. I set up a reading with Joanne for my mom about 6 months ago. We paid upfront and were eager to be able to communicate with my dad who recently passed. We had so much build up and excitement for this moment. On the day of our scheduled reading Joanne called and let us know she was feeling ill and would need to reschedule the appointment for 2 weeks later. This was totally understandable and although we were a bit disappointed, we figured there must be a good reason the reading didn't happen that day. The day before the scheduled reading, Joanne called and let us know she was incredibly backed up on appointments due to being ill and advised us she needed to reschedule again. Today, the day of our rescheduled appointment, Joanne notified us 2 hours prior to our reading letting us know she was still not feeling well and offered to reschedule our appointment for July or August, or refund our money. At this point, we elected to take a refund and cut our losses. Someone being sick is completely understandable, but notifying us 2 hours before our rescheduled appointment was unprofessional. I don't doubt Joanne has abilities, but running a business this way shows blatant disregard for the clients that are trusting her to provide a service, which often carriers emotional weight. When you book with her you may be one of those who's reading isn't rescheduled and you have a great experience, or you may experience what we and many others here have. First , I'd like to say that even though I had to wait many months to get an online reading, it was not rescheduled, and went ahead as planned. I had really been hoping that Joanne would be able to connect with my mother, who had recently passed, to help alleviate the extreme grief that I had been coping with since her passing. . Unfortunately, there was nothing said during the reading that made me believe that she had connected with anyone I knew that had passed as everything was full of generalizations. There was also nothing about myself that was even remotely accurate. Things she said would've applied to many women in my age group. For example, she mentioned that I had been holding onto some things like my grandmother's jewelry that my grandmother said it was OK to turn into a necklace or keeping old dishes_Things that could apply to many women my age. Joanne assistant Rescheduled 3 times then Joanne herself tried to reschedule 10 min before reading and at our insistence did the reading 2 hours later than scheduled. She did NOT connect anything and blamed the client for not being open. I feel she was not open to receive during her busy day of errands. Extremely disappointed. I started with Joanne in the late 90's, she came to my home for a psychic party, then sister-in-laws house, then a friends. Every few years I would follow up until her prices were out of reach. My life changed a lot in the last 10 years since I spoke with her, mostly, my gifts were activated and I found myself constantly surrounded by psychics, mediums, shamans, channelers, etc. as this is now my career field. I was extremely excited to speak with her yesterday after it had been postponed for about a month. I told her what I was looking for. She started telling me everything I knew, like basic stuff, your worries are out of your control, you are overwhelmed and your house is messy because you are scattered and working too much. NO KIDDING. That is why I called for an appointment. Nothing about my gifts, nothing about the spirits in my home causing issues (haunted), nothing about what I specifically asked for. I started crying 1/2 way through because we had spent 6 minutes or...$50 of my session with hellos and explaining psychic and medium to me. I AM BOTH. I KNOW. How did she not see any of this on me? Why did we spend another $40 or so talking about her visit to the senior center for a handyman or how she found her assistant and I should get one, they could work at our location or remotely. I am sorry, I know an assistant is new to you but did you not see that I've had up to 30 employees at one time and this is not a novel thought to get one? She is dead as are all the other dead relatives. 'They are with me and they are happy.' I KNOW! They all are. I don't need confirmation they are OK or nearby. I don't care. She also said spirits don't give messages only information that they are them and they're OK. This is 100% false. Do you know how many times a friend has said, so and so (dead) said look for this or focus on that. She used to be good. Maybe she still is but for someone at my level, I just paid for 30 minutes to partake in a kindergarten class. I have had better sessions with students in Life Coaching. If you are an advanced healer, you might want to try someone who actually sees you and can meet you at your level, not 'grandma says she loves you'. Grandma was not nice as Joanne portrayed and was the last I wanted to hear from. She's with me? GO AWAY!! If you're able to afford to lose a few hundred dollars for an appointment that may or may not happen, Joanne is absolutely the psychic you're looking for! It seems as if she has a history of canceling original appointments on people but if your mind is not "at ease" as she suggests it should be on her website for your reading and you try to reschedule last minute, not cancel.... reschedule for another day when you can be at ease... she will charge as if you received service. If you dispute the charge with your bank, she will lie to the bank about it. The mental state of a grieving mother who lost her son 6 months ago? She could care less. Her schedule is more important than her showing compassion. She does not care if you're a bereaved mother of a three year old. She does not care about compromising with clients. She does care about profiting from grieving people who lost a loved one. She does care about what is said about her but not enough to rectify an error in her judgment. This was a life changing event for me, no hands down. I went to see her with a few of my friends and I have absolutely no doubt she was in contact with our family and friends. She gave each child's name in my family from my parents to say hello to, deceased aunt's names that I had to check with other family members who they were because they died before I was born. She knew things we had kept from our parents like tool boxes and harmonicas, that we had just re-done our kitchen and re-sodded our yard. They came through with their personalities and she described them so accurately, it was at times funny. **UNPROFESSIONAL** Had an appointment booked since February 2017 for a June 21st reading. First, called me two days prior to change the time from 3pm to 1pm. I've been looking forward to this reading for five months so agreed and took the day off work to accommodate Joanne's schedule. She then called me 30 minutes before our scheduled phone reading to cancel. Pretty sure if that was me, I would have to forfeit the entire 335 dollars I ALREADY PAID. However, I kept it cool because again, I was still emotionally invested into this happening so I agreed to the date change of Sunday at 1pm. I had plans to go away for the weekend, as many people do in the summer months, but decided to stay home so I wouldn't be late and be ready for my reading on Sunday. Yes, you probably guessed it. Joanne this time only called me 22 MINUTES prior to the reading to cancel because she was home sick. If she was home sick, I would think someone who is professional and even caring of another persons time would maybe call me in the morning? So I wouldn't have wasted an entire day? AGAIN, going against her own cancellation policy. She never even thought to mention if she could make it up to me, maybe an additional 15 minutes? Maybe a gift certificate? Discounted reading due to the second cancellation on short notice after a time change? Again, nothing. I lost an entire days pay on Wednesday when I had to take off work because of her time change and then a weekend away with my family. Never mind the fact I was emotionally invested - laid out pictures, lit candles, really tried to get ready for the session and the possibility of my Dad and other loved ones reaching out to me through spirit. I couldn't help but cry after being cancelled on again in such short notice and putting the pictures away for the second time in less than a week. Bereaved mother of a toddler, made an appointment, almost $300 for a 30 minute phone call. She called and cancelled on me the day of the appointment. I said it was fine! We rescheduled, and when I needed to cancel, I was told it was against the policy and I'd have to pay ANOTHER $275 for a 30 minute phone call- for some reason it's acceptable for her to cancel at the very last minute, but I can't. As someone who has been very skeptical about mediums and was hoping and quite literally praying I could get a connection to my 3 year old, to be cheated like this is a huge, hurtful blow. I just had a reading with Joanne Gerber and she appears to be a total fraud. She claims that she is an "evidential" medium and can provide evidence. Yet, she kept talking on and on about some "grandfather" who I never knew and never knew me. When I explained to her that I had no idea who she was talking about, she started using "cold reading" questions to elicit information from me. I made a comment about this and she immediately became extremely defensive and argumentative and started yelling at me and then hung up on me. Of course, she kept my money. So, she walks away with my money and all I got was a load of BS. Whoa, why are you so defensive if you're doing something legitimate? I had a medium reading with Joanne yesterday, January 31, 2018. I was absolutely blown away by this reading. More than one spirit came to talk with me, and the detailed and specific information that Joanne was able to provide to me was mind blowing. She gave me names, dates, relationships, descriptions and so much more. I was speechless from this reading. There is no possible way she could have known the things she was relaying back to me. I went to her medium demonstration, and was impressed by the details she was able to provide to some of the people in the room. Afterwards, I had a scheduled phone session, and was looking forward it. The reading didn't blow me away and didn't provide me with any spiritual healing. I had a 1/2 hour phone call. With in that time frame I would say she had hits 25% of the time. The rest was either completely wrong, and she gave me so many random names and for me to remember them for the future and to pass along a message.. Which she either never gave me.. Or it was to say hi to them. I didn't pay good money to hear things that could have possibly applied to a lot of people, "messages" that didn't directly apply to me, or random names, or completely wrong info.
