Healing Tree has a huge variety of yoga classes available and a great schedule. The studio is small…read morebut spacious and everyone there is friendly and accommodating if classes start to get full and potentially crowded. I've never had a bad instructor here! Cost is reasonable and you can occasionally pick up a voucher deal (i.e. Living Social, Amazon Local) if you're trying to keep costs low. The Friday or Sunday evening restorative/Yin yoga classes are a great way to end your week. Rebecca is one of the gentlest, most pleasant instructors I've ever taken a class with (and I've taken a lot of yoga classes!). The Monday night slow flow vinyasa with Joanna is a perfect balance between gentle and challenging and an awesome way to start your week. I've also had a massage here in the past (a few years back) - I think I asked for an accupressure massage. It was worth every cent. There are other massage therapists in Quincy that I would recommend instead almost exclusively due to cost (Theresa at A Healthy Balance, anyone at Thai Health Spa), but you won't be getting a bad treatment if you go here.

Lets you arrive and sink into your met. I had such an issue with my hip and was going to see a dr the next week for a shot, I took one of her classes and she added ball rolling and WOW is all I can say. Dr said I didn't need a shot and continue to take yoga he also said I didn't need another appointment. If your body is craving to move and need to create space so that you can move easily take one of her classes she never a disappoints. Patty J

Kelly is amazing. It is hard to put into words the change you feel after meeting with her but I…read morewill try. I think Kelly is a unique person to begin with; her personality is kind and empathetic combined with her knowledge and passion for what she does makes your time with her very powerful. Kelly is able to take so much of your personal story and carve out a unique experience. She took me to a very relaxed state, something I could never get to on my own with meditation, talk therapy or self guided meditation. I honestly have never experienced anything like this before and never thought that me, of all people, would be able to feel such deep effects in her sessions. My mind is usually racing, with a long to-do list, or feelings of anxiety, my heart starts to beat too fast and sometimes its hard to take a deep breath. Kelly has been pivotal in helping me with all of this. Something medication, talk therapy and other resources only skim the surface (or provide relief for a short time). After meeting with Kelly a few times, I feel like I am more in control, I understand the way my body reacts and ultimately more 'balanced' than before. I look forward to meeting with Kelly again and hope that others give her a try, she truly is a wonderful person to have in your life.

We feel that traditional academia is often inadequate when it comes to the needs of the whole student (especially regarding the student as a social, emotional, and spiritual being etc.). Unlike traditional academia that is primarily content based, we recognize that students are participating in a process of self-discovery and we help your student to connect to his or her inner wisdom and guidance. Students are people too: their feelings and emotions are not to be ignored. We have manifested remarkable changes in our own lives through our spiritual practices. Walking into this massage studio takes you away from the world outside. It's like walking into a…read morewarm and sacred space. When I moved to MA from NJ I tried many places and thought I'd never find a person to compare to the massage therapist I had back home. On my first visit I was suffering with a migraine caused by the stress and tension in my neck and shoulders. As Marty worked on me, he explained how the muscles in one area affect the muscles in the area I was having trouble with. I appreciated that because I've asked other massage therapists in the past and it seemed as though they just didn't know. He has studied anatomy and can explain everything about body mechanics to you. When my lower back acts up, his massage has helped way more than when I was going to physical therapy. After about a year of getting massages here, I can walk in and say, "please fix me!" and he does. He truly wants to help people feel better. It's always a personal experience and his personality is genuine. Marty is the absolute BEST! I have recommended him to many people. If your considering trying him you absolutely should!

Back in Aug 2020 when I was 60 yrs old, while sitting at my desk, I bent over to pick up a…read morepaperclip off the floor and I felt my back pop. I thought that I just pulled a muscle. I went immediately to my chiropractor down the street to see if he could fix it. I ended up getting an MRI on my back. I had herniated the disc and had a couple of bulged discs. I went to a back surgeon that wanted to operate on my back, with no guarantees that it would be fixed. I knew I didn't want surgery or cortisone shots. I've heard too many bad things about them. I told my chiropractor what was going on and he thought that maybe he could help me, but it would take a very long time. In the meantime, Marty Turner owner of the Sacred Tree Massage and Reiki in Newburyport, who I had briefly met through some mutual friends, heard what happened and reached out to me. I knew nothing about massage therapy but was willing to try. Between my chiropractor and Marty Turner, I was pretty much back to normal in 6 months. I own a horse farm, so I'm very active mucking stalls, carrying 5-gallon jugs of water and moving 40 lbs. of hay daily. In the fall I'm raking up about 30 yrds of leaves. I also love to hike and ride in the side x side ATVs. I'm now 65 and still doing all of these things and more. I do go regularly once a month for a 1/2 hr massage to loosen up the muscles. I tried in the beginning to stop going monthly, but found out quickly that I needed to go. If Marty was able to fix my back with the help of the chiropractor, then I suggest that people give him a chance. He is very kind, honest, professional and makes you feel at ease. He will listen intently as to what's going on and will do his best to resolve the issues. Keep in mind, things don't always get fixed with just one visit. It could take several for the muscles to relax and release.
