Sasha, resting up a couple nights before level 2

We got Sasha from PSD kennels when she was 8 weeks old. The process was easy. Having such a fine dog I wanted her professionally trained and so at 13 weeks I brought her back for obedience school. I just got Sasha back yesterday and the experience has been great. Cindi has been only a text message or call away. I met Cindi's husband Jamie and he is very knowledgeable and knows just what your dog needs to meet your expectations in training. Sasha had fun working with Kandice, her trainer for almost 3 weeks. Sasha loves Kandice. If you're interested in a pup or just looking for training for a dog you have, look no further. PSD is awesome... Update,,, it's April and headed back for a level 2 obedience and scent detection... I tell everyone how great PSD is... if you're reading a bad review,,, I would consider the source!!! Great kennel!!

Deep South Quail Hunts - Post hunt

    Deep South Quail Hunts

    (1 review)

Big Scary Man Kills Small Defenseless Animals!…read more Now that I have your attention, I will begin my review. It was a particularly frigid morning. The temperature was in the mid 20's in beautiful Tylertown, Mississippi. Three men, all carrying shotguns, loaded into a truck and headed to the middle of nowhere. Upon arriving, one man was in for quite a shock. This place was seriously country. He decided to have an open mind and is glad he did. Once the guide arrived, the three men walked across the road to the large open field and began the hunt. By the end of the day, the quail population of Mississippi was slightly reduced, and the three men had a grand time. Later, the grilled quail and quail gumbo filled their bellies and satisfied their souls. Now that is out of the way: I am not a big hunter. I have been hunting numerous times, but don't have the patience to sit in a stand for hours waiting to blast a large caliber hole in Bambi. Quail hunting is significantly more fun. At Deep South there is a giant plot of land with several areas of trees and underbrush where the quail like to hide. As part of the cost, there is a guide and guide dog provided. The dog roams around till he or she finds some quail, then he "points". Upon the guide's command, the dog enters the underbrush, which "flushes" the birds causing them to take flight. As a hunter, your job is to attempt to shoot said birds. Once they are killed, the dog retrieves the bird, and you shove it into your jacket. Sounds easy, right? Wrong. Hitting a fast moving target without shooting your companions is not as easy as one would think. I don't remember how many birds we ended up with, but I can tell you more got away than didn't. That was more an issue of the hunter's skill. We hunted for several hours and had a great time. I believe we spent $130 per person including a tip for the guide. Even if you aren't a big hunter, this would be a fun adventure for a group of guys. I highly recommend Deep South.
