Very long wait to see an excellent vet, Dr Parks. Plan on a walk in visit. No appointments for a few months

Dr. Anne and the entire staff is phenomenal. We had a sick doggy, River, and brought her in on Monday morning. That night a dog attacked and killed most of my chickens. We spent 4 of the 5 business days there between River having surgery and bringing in 3 different maimed birds. No matter whether I've brought in a dog or chicken or duck or cat throughout the years, we've always been treated well and our animals are loved no matter what they are. I highly recommend them to anyone who has a pet. read more

It's probably my own stupid fault, but it seems like I get screwed every time I bring an animal into their clinic. It's been going on for years. Every time I bring my dog or cat to have them give basic shots, I'm told "we will have to sedate and keep them over night". Like a dummy, I give in and the animal stays. And that's on basic stuff like shots and check ups. But this was the last straw, when I brought my free car to have shots done and a cat fight scratch. I get the bill $$$$$$. I understand some inflation, (thanks Joe) , but really. And still didn't get the basic shots, that's another $70. Ridiculous. I'll be shopping around On the next regular check up. I've been here a few times. They are very busy which says a lot about a vet. So there may be a wait But I had no appointment and had to see the aviation specialist for my injured duck that was attacked. They fit me in between their scheduled appointments. I was there about 5 hours, but like I said. I had no appointment and they were busy. They all were great. The drs., technicians, and front desk ppl. They are a 45 minute drive for me. But I will be using them again. read more

I ended up trying this vet in the middle of an emergency. I came home from bringing my daughter to school one Wed. to find my 10 yr old cocker bleeding profusely from her mouth and rear end. I scooped her up off we went. I was in between vets at the moment having had her vaccinations done at Animal Hos. of Orange Grove 7 months earlier; I was not happy with the service nor the price so I had to decide in a hurry where to take her. I called Saucier Vet Hospital and even though they do not see patients on Wed (that is surgery day) they told me to bring her in. Dr. Ann Delborgo was so wonderful and sweet and incredibly knowledgeable. She truly has a way of explaining things. She worked with my cocker for 5 hours that day and admitted her overnight. My dog was incredibly sick and could have died but 4 days and much treatment later she was back home with me. Since then I returned to have her teeth cleaned. The best is I went in for a checkup and they cleaned her teeth that day, no appointment. Another great thing is Dr. Askew sees everything from frogs to birds and finding a knowledgeable vet who sees such an array of animals is basically nonexistent here on the coast. I am forever grateful for this clinic for the time and effort they put into my cocker spaniel and would not change for a million dollars. read more

I've been bringing my Lab mix here for 8 years and they are wonderful. Recently my dog had a very bad intestinal infection that spread throughout her body and I feared the worse. But the good people at SVH took great care of her and now she's doing much better. The entire staff is fantastic. The tech was extremely helpful and knowledgeable; and Pat , the receptionist, is the nicest woman you may ever meet. Dr. Ann DelBorgo is the best !!! She truly loves her work and cares about the animals and their owners. read more

Worst service and place ever been too. Lady at the front desk is a racist. Completely ignored and disregarded my wife for 5 minutes standing at the desk only occasionally making eye contact. When a white woman walked up to desk and was immediately greeted and helped. We've been gong here for a few months for both of our pets glad tons there true colors. read more

They used to be an amazing veterinary clinic I use them plenty of times with other animals in the past doctor asku you was awesome and truly cared about the animals my last encounter with them was with my 18 month old bully his name was chapo he started showing signs of porvo and I immediately brought him in because they saved my 4 week old Puppy years ago they had parvo and he was 18 months old and so strong I just knew he'd be OK immediately they started talking about wanting blank checks which I do not have only cash I gave them 200 up front and was bringing them 600 the next morning his his bill was at 309 already so I was going to be to be bringing the 600 and plus already had it in work to sell my vehicle so I would be bringing down more money in the afternoon they texted me through the night letting me know that he was doing great only to get a phone call early that next morning that he had Just passed and I could come pick up his body getting there his body was frozen and his bill was still at $309 which let's me know that they stopped treatment on him and did not do anything else for him and to be honest I think that they put him to sleep shortly after I left him there the day before all because I didn't have blank checks So I recommend anyone that loves their animal and has a life threatening Situation going on with your fur baby to not bring them there read more

I cannot recommend Dr. Askew enough! He is a true animal lover and the only vet that was willing to see us in the Hancock/Harrison County area with an injured stray rabbit in tow. He has been caring for my (now adopted) rabbit, for the past year. He has given great care to my rabbit, paying careful attention to my concerns and questions as a first-time rabbit owner. He spayed her and when I came to him with post-operative worries, his staff go me right in and his attention to my Bun Bun was great. His staff is friendly and professional. Their pricing is very fair. I cannot thank Dr. Askew and his staff enough for being in the area and providing care to "exotic" animals. read more

I was very disappointed with the service from Dr Askew recently. He was rude & I guess not happy that I was asking questions. He informed me that he would not help if I called after hours. Joking or not, not something you say to a customer. Mrs Bonnie the tech was very nice & caring. Dr Ann was very helpful, caring , and very knowledgeable. I would not recommend Dr Askew. read more
