Cocktail of the Night: like an orange spritz
Melissa L.

PS Underground was definitely a fun and unique experience. I've heard people rave about the dinner and shows for years that I finally got to tag along with some couples for an entertaining night. First off I love how organized the whole setup is. Makes it easy to get in and out without much thought. You wait in line outside and they let you in right at 7pm. No sooner no later. While it doesn't benefit you to get there super early since the seating is assigned, I would still recommend getting there at least 15 minute early so you could be at least towards the front of the line. Why this matters is so that when you get to your assigned seating/table, you can at least get the best seats at the table. For instance, every table will have seats where your back is slightly turned to the stage. If you don't mind twisting and turning yourself around/moving your seat at each part of the performance then no biggie. But for us it was nice to be a little early so that once we got our assigned table we could at least be in the chairs best suited for looking directly at the stage. We loved the open table guest concept which allows you to sit with other strangers (hopefully that will become friends) so you can mingle and get to know others. This helps if your coming alone or in a smaller group as likely you'll get to meet some really neat people. If your a big enough party it looks that you'd likely get a table for your party alone. The underground shows vary and there seems to be new themes and shows throughout the year. Some I've heard are repeats if they are popular enough but overall they seem to do a good job of coming up with new acts and entertainment. We found the performers to be excellent and the pace was nice between songs and meals. The food was delicious. Alcohol comes as a part of the package of your ticket. Plenty of cocktails and wine flowing. Their cocktail special of each nice is unique and the orange spritz like cocktail we had was refreshing. Back to the food. Again, we'll paced and everything came out cooked to perfection. The meal developed a salad, soup, main chicken dish, and dessert. We were all really impressed with the food and variety. The owners seem really passionate about what they do and work hard to make it a fun experience for all. I'm happy I got to be apart of the PS Underground finally and look forward to attending more shows in the future. Pro Tip: Parking is limited! So I guess that's another benefit of getting here a little early. The parking lot is small and we found the later people came they had to park way down the road for street parking which wasn't well lit. Another thing to think about but again, just a tip, my experience way outweighed all of these little things. I just know I come to Yelp sometimes for the little additional tips and feedback so I hope it's helpful.

Fun evening, great food, great service. We were there for "Broadway Blockbusters" and next month is a Tina Turner Tribute. Entertainment changes, check their website.

The Velvet Martini dinner experience was so special and amazing. I went with my mom, I'm 33 and she's 72, and we both were blown away with musical performance and 4-course dinner. The service was amazing and there was an endless flow of wine, which was fantastic last night (hehe not this morning). Overall, I can't wait to go back and take my husband and friends for future themes!!!

Privately owned and what appears to still have a home property onsite, Moorten Botanical features over 3,000 species of cacti. Another unique component is the rare Cactarium which is a greenhouse featuring cactus and succulents. Admission is $7 cash or card and there is always staff available to greet guests. A paper map is provided post payment to help navigate the grounds. I recommend sunscreen as a majority of the viewing takes place outside and the sun tends to beat down. Onsite there are a variety of large tortoises in specialty spots enjoying their environment. At the end of the garden, there is a nursery where plants can be purchased along with gardening trinkets. It's a layered, multi-use space made up of small shops, boutiques, home décor, and curated goods that invite you to wander rather than rush. What makes it stand out, at least for me, is that it feels intentionally designed for the way people actually live and work now. As someone who is constantly looking for places where I can sit down with my laptop and get real work done while in transit, this checks a very specific box. Not just "can I sit here," but can I actually stay, focus, and be productive without feeling out of place. That's rare. They've gone a step further by building out proper workspaces and collaborating with Regus, which gives it a level of legitimacy beyond the typical café-with-WiFi setup. It feels like a place that understands the digital nomad mindset rather than just catering to it on the surface. Then there's the rooftop. Fully serviced, flexible, and surprisingly elevated for Palm Springs. This isn't a city known for vertical spaces, so being up there, looking out while still feeling connected to what's happening below, creates a perspective you don't really get elsewhere in town. It manages to feel both removed and right in the middle of everything at the same time. For Palm Springs, it's genuinely one of a kind.

An interesting & unique experience you must see for yourself!…read more Make sure to text the number provided and make an appointment, this exhibit is now by apt only. Then you will receive a long list of rules and regulations that I suggest you read thoroughly and carefully, lol. He's quite particular, so keep that in mind, which is understandable, it's his living space after all. There is also a waiver to sign before entry. It takes up to an hour to get through the art exhibit, so pace yourself and check it all out. At the end you'll be required to purchase a piece of art, which is how the artist continues to create and keep the lights on. Also keep in mind there are not as many lights on as there used to be, and that may be due to city ordinances and what not, but the art is definitely still worth seeing, if you're into this sort of thing. Check out the images and if you're feeling it, make an appointment!

He showed up shirtless, sweaty, and looking like he'd just crawled out of a dumpster. His studio? A suffocating, chaotic fire hazard--cramped, filthy, and stacked with junk. It's almost impressive how claustrophobic he made FOUR ACRES of land feel! And the "art" he's so pretentious about? Give me a break. It looked like something a bored middle-schooler slapped together during detention. Nothing meaningful, nothing profound! It's all just crude, sloppy garbage with peeling, crusty paint jobs that looked like they'd been rotting for years. Honestly, the only impressive part was how consistently awful everything was. Then this clown has the audacity to pressure us into buying something. For what? His cheap resin and 3D-printed knockoffs that probably took him two hours and negative talent to make? And he's charging $75 to TWO THOUSAND dollars like he's some tortured genius instead of a delusional hobbyist? Please. When we Venmoed him a $25 tip, he got mad, as if that was some personal offense. He said, and I fucking qoute, "Way to take the easy way out." Like, dude. NO ONE WANTS YOUR SHITTY "ART." And the cherry on top? His attitude. He strutted around like we should be grateful just to stand in his hoarder-level hazard trap and gaze upon his trash-tier "creations." He genuinely behaved like we were beneath him, which is hilarious considering the state of literally everything he touched. Easiest, most well-deserved 1/5 I've ever given. Standouts included the tamarind martini, which was exceptional--smooth, flavorful, and dangerously drinkable (I had a few, and soon my friends were ordering them too). The bacon-wrapped figs were a highlight, so good we polished off two orders; the pizza was decent but could have used a touch more time in the oven for a crispier crust. What an absolutely sad experience I just had…read more The short and not so sweet of it: If you call the Ingleside website phone number, make sure they are actually booking you at the Ingleside! I wanted to make a reservation at this charming old-school hotel for my dad's 79th birthday, so I called the number on their website and went through all the work on the phone to find dates a suite was available, go over pricing and any specials (getting a meal voucher, since we wanted to go to Melvyn's), secure reservations, and pay. I was thrilled to finally book something. I hung up and called my dad to tell him where he would be going for his birthday. All was good. But when I didn't get a confirmation email, I called Ingleside to see why and they said I had no reservation. They said that when the reception for Ingleside is busy, they route their phones to Avalon Hotel...and maybe my reservation is there. Well, that's astounding that you could reroute a phone call and not make sure the customer knows they are booking at a different hotel! I'm not even going to go into detail on my continued attempt to book Ingleside, but it was hundreds more than my first reservation with no specials and no meal voucher, even though they had given me such a run-around, so in the end I was too disappointed in them to book at all and got a refund.
