My wife and I attended the Cavern, Liverpool dinner/show with The Gand Band at PS Underground. What a fabulous evening. The dinner menu was a creative menu based upon the food of the times in England, only MUCH better. But the highlight of the evening was the electric, educational show by The Gand Band, led by the husband and wife team of Joan and Gary Gand. I never knew some of the music they played was from bands that all performed at the Cavern. Even before the end of the first set, everyone in the room was on their feet, singing and dancing. We had PS Underground cater my sons wedding yesterday at Casa De Monte Vista. It was amazing!! The food was out of this world. The appetizers were mouth watering, and the main courses were delicious. I can't say enough about Michael and his staff. They were all very courteous, and made sure that each guest was taken care of. A unique dining experience. Full of surprises.... we did LIGHT and the food, drinks and entertainment was amazing. That one is a little pricier than the other experiences, but does include all of your drinks. We haven't tried any others. so we will do Cavern and Bacon because they are also appealing. We had a great time at "Woodstock" last night at PS Underground. We weren't sure what to expect - we are going someplace where we didn't know what we were going to eat, we didn't know the people we were going to be sitting with, and we didn't have any idea how good the music would be or what to expect. Wow oh wow! The food was fabulous, not to mention the entertainment! And the strangers at our table quickly became friends. I had put off trying out this place because it seemed a little pricey, but given the quality of the food and the entertainment, it was worth it. We'll be going back for sure! read more

We got dinner there tonight at one of the pop up Death by Cheese dinners. SO. GOOD! We had a Death on the Isle of Mykonos, Death in the Diner, and Tots on Acid. Everything was amazing! The sandwiches were loaded with cheese and other yummy stuff and grilled to perfection. And the tots were also loaded with cheese and bacon and not soggy at all. What an incredible, fun filled evening topped only by the phenomenal menu and entertainment. What struck me was how genuinely kind and caring each person associated with the event was. Not only were they welcoming to my guide dog; (they had a full on soft comfy blanket for her to spend her time on; offered her water and left an empty seat near us so that she would have space), but they were attentive and conversational with all of us patrons! This group has their act totally together. They filled every minute with activity and kept us all involved in the process. PS Underground is one of the best tourist experiences in Palm Springs. However, it was much more fun when it actually was an underground cabaret. Locals would dine, party and dance with each other. Since PS Underground has moved to it's permanent location the fun and has been lost a bit. However, if you are a tourist and looking for good fun and music it's worthwhile. I find it sad that the tourist audience just sits and watches and no longer dances and participates like the locals use to. Things change and usually not for the better. read more

I have been twice in the last two months and both times were incredible. The food is amazing service is great! I go for the show and the experience. Such talent, all the servers and waiters and bartenders are all in the show. It's three hours of pure joy. I highly recommend everyone to go and experience PS underground! read more

About a year ago, we attended a "Light" event hosted by PS Underground. It was a magical experience. So when my partner and I were planning to get married in Palm Springs, we knew we wanted PS Underground to help us plan it. On September 9th, they took care of every detail of our wedding event, and it was unforgettable - beyond our expectations. They were able to get us space at the Casa de Monte Vista - a truly unique home that is a great space for any special occasion. It is worth noting that just before our event, Palm Springs received about a year's worth of rain in only two hours. The folks at PS Underground worked magic before our guests arrived to move tables around and reconfigure the flow of our event to work around the wetness. It looked amazing! After some cocktails and light hors d'oeuvres we had a brief ceremony and they led us around the property to a beautifully decorated space where we had dinner. The food was excellent. In particular, the roasted peach soup was a standout, and the deconstructed seafood ravioli was over the top. The service was wonderful - all the staff were helpful and friendly. PS Underground also arranged for a guitarist to provide some background music at dinner, and it was a nice compliment to the meal. They even surprised us with a singer who performed a couple of songs for our big day. It was a really nice touch that made the evening that much more special. We capped things off with a cake from Over the Rainbow bakery that was as fabulous as the rest of the food that evening. We can't thank them enough for giving us a night we and our guests will always remember. We would recommend them to anyone! read more

PS Underground created a LIGHT dinner party for my milestone birthday, and it was just BEYOND incredible!!! AMAZING!!! ASTOUNDING!!! FANTASTICAL!!! Simply told, it was THE BEST!!!! I honestly and literally mean it was THE best party I have ever been to -- or even dreamed of -- and my guests all felt the same!!! Even two days later, we are all STILL abuzz! Michael's and David's creations are just a magical experience that is beyond words! Their personal hospitality is so welcoming and sweet! Their creativity is just EXTRAORDINARY! I chose their LIGHT theme and every single aspect was absolutely thrillingly sensational! (I won't describe any details because it is all such a wonderful SURPRISE as it unfolds! But trust me, it's mind-blowing!) The singers were soooooo incredibly talented!!! My guests and I were so moved by their performances, there were several times we were literally crying -- moved to happy tears! Michael had asked me beforehand for some photos of me and my guests and for a list of some of my favorite songs, and he totally personalized the event so perfectly, I felt spoiled rotten!!! It really took the sting out of turning ... oops, my computer seems to BOnThBlnk . . . My guests loved seeing their photos projected, and I absolutely melted hearing some of MY favorite songs sung live! And, oh my lord, how can I even describe how celestial the flavors were!!! David's brilliance provided us all with a culinary experience from heaven!!! SOOOOO many friends have told me they were just amazed -- and several said it was the best meal they'd ever had!!! The time and meticulous care David puts into his creations, and his passion is so very evident in every single bite. Just phenomenal! My birthday could not have been better -- not just for me, but for all of our guests which is actually what was most important to us! read more

What a fun and unique Restaurant Week experience! Loved the suspense of finding out the location, great entertainment and service, yummy food and great decor of a 1920's speakeasy! My only complaint was that the room was too hot and our table was too crowded to really sit back and fully enjoy the experience. Definitely worth checking out when visiting Palm Springs! read more

Had heard a lot about PS underground so I wanted to try it. The show was good. But not great. The games were fun. But the food was really awful! I know it was restaurant week and $49 is a deal but I think they could have done a better job with the food. The only thing I found a little bit impressive was a desert. I can have pressed turkey and bologna sandwiches at home. read more

I recently attended I Spy (my 2nd PS Underground event) and loved every minute of it. The Gand Band is BIG TIME. The band's creativity during PS Underground's themed dinner events always adds to the fun. Joan and Gary, the band's founders, have played with professional celebrity musicians around the globe, so don't be surprised if one of them joins onstage for a surprise performance! Went to the NOD TO MOD for Modernism Week Dinner ! We all sign up last November for this dinner experience. We found out the night before it was at Pete Hideaway back dining room. We went with high expectations that it was billed out to be, the entertainment was just ok they did there best. They mention 3 times thru the night to tip the staff, it was so so tacky! The food was below average! The desert was ice cream! As each course came out we all had that disappointed look on our faces! We could go to Pete Hideway any night of the week and get that meal for about $30 .... It was not worth $125+. Frankly we should of could of gone to the Purple Room and saw a Awesome show and much better food! We thought we were going have excellent evening! Now we know why the Venue was a secret! Nobody would pay $125+ to eat at Pete Hideway and see a just ok show! What a waste of our time and money (7 of us). read more

We went for my belated birthday with 12 people paying $50 a piece. We were crammed into a very small space with no room to even push your chair back away from the table, and we could even all sit together. The food was white bread baloney sandwiches, turkey with bland gravy and peas. And a desert that tasted like a melted candy bar. Now, listen up, this was because we were at their SitCom dinner, celebrating old sitcoms, the theme songs, set layouts, and some clips. The dinner was to make you feel like you were eating a Swanson's TV dinner. The night had entertainment, delightful, happy men and women who sang all the sitcom music you could ever have wanted to here, but at a volume that is still making my ears ring. The night was good. Nice people, laughing, eating small "g" good food. Some had a wonderful time, but no one thought the food was more than a B-. And then on top of the $50 were $14 well "craft" cocktails. It was not a cheap evening and i know that their normal events are $100. I am assuming that brings up the food quality a bit. But really, i could have catered at my house for $600, watched old cable sitcoms on TVLand and all ate and drank like a king and had room to cross our legs. read more

Michael and David created such a special evening for my mom's 80th birthday. The 24 person event was held at Casa de Monte Vista (such a unique and stunning location in itself) and every detail was attended to...beautiful table arrangements, delicious and unique food, flamenco guitar, and the sweetest staff who took care of our every need. And on top of that, they all got up early and prepared a lovely brunch for us to keep the party going the next day. Terrific first experience here. Calling it dinner and a show is wholly inadequate. From the host/MC to the servers, performers, chefs and everyone involved, there is a high level of talent here and, just as important, passion and commitment to provide their guests with a unique experience. This was their restaurant week special 4 course meal so it was a bargain as well! Don't want to ruin the experience for those still to enjoy this so won't say too much. High point for me was the soup course but each of the courses showed commitment and a meticulous attention to the detail from conception through execution and presentation. The dessert could have used a bit more work and the one major thing they should attend to is the sound system and acoustics. The performers deserve more balanced and clearer amplification though that may be a challenge considering the acoustics of the space. Now that this is their permanent space am excited to see and experience what they have in store. read more

I had no idea what a super club is, still don't know but really don't care this place superseded all expectations. I came along with some friends and they kept trying to explain the concept to me but you really have to experience it for yourself. We had anticipated a lovely evening with what had been described by others who have attended one of these as a wonderful "foodie" experience and interesting and fun entertainment. We paid $150.00 each plus taxes, reservation fee and tip at the end of the evening for about $190.00 each. The surprise location was a warehouse out by the airport, a very uninteresting venue and sterile location. We entered a somewhat cloistered room and were offered mediocre wine. We had expected some nice wine pairings with dinner (you get great ones and a truly great meal at Zin for $80-90). We got the same blah wine throughout the entire meal. It started with cream of cornichon soup (that's right pickle pickle soup). It was good but the cornichon chunks overpowered the soup. The rest of the food included some underdone shrimp, tough and stringy seared ahi, then the main course, beef ribs that supposedly had been simmering all day. They were dry, tough and unpalatable. Then desert a puff pastry like the ones you can buy at a bakery with some sweet cream and fruit, nothing very imaginative or interesting. The entertainment was boring, and the entire evening was very contrived and tacky. Overall this was a major rip off, these guys don't know what they are doing. Sad we had high hopes on the way in. read more
