The grounds were clean, which was so nice. Having grass to be on was great. There are also cabanas around the pool, which all had power. I think if you have four people, the cabana is full. Two is perfect. The pool is a nice long plaster pool it could use a scrub, but it looked great. What I really liked, aside from the staff, was that it's a big enough space to not feel crowded at all. I think we had a little over 100 people and there were no places that felt cramped. They could benefit from more seating. There were nice chairs by the pool, but many people ended up on towels, in the nice grass area. That would have been ok, but they could also use more umbrellas. The place has a good casual vibe and I definitely recommend it for large parties. The only drawback was the sparse seating and shade. Do, bring a couple umbrellas and enjoy the park like setting.

I've done both the high life rooftop poolside bar as well as the bar at 4Saints restaurant. Both great but different vibe. This visit, we went for the rooftop pool bar. More of a lowkey mellow atmosphere. With the pool right in front. They also have a very nice layout of seating with tables that lookout to the mountains. Pretty much anywhere you sit, the view is great. Drink menu is alway good with loads of specialty cocktails and a nice wine list. Food can also be served if you're hungry. The vibe is nice and chill and great for an afternoon or during sunset. It can get hot as it's outdoor and in the open. More chill but can get loud as the pool is literally feet's away. Still A cool place to hang and have a drink. I alway recommend the place to people who's looking for a nice spot for a drink. Then you have the hotel, it's very clean and modern. Lobby is very beautiful with check in as well as the seating area. There's also a bar located downstairs which they offer the social hour. It got started with a reservation made on COSTCO.COM, with a package deal to include a car. We didn't just get a car, we got an AUDI QUATTRO w/ 400 miles on it. CAN YOU BELIEVE??? On the morning we were to drive to PALM SPRINGS, and my partner was on his way to get the car, I called Guest Services. I inquired about our room, and got upgraded to an upper floor, corner suite with a king size bed. It included a couch and a desk, AND TWO TVS!!! We also had a small fridge stocked, but had the food and drinks removed for our stuff!!! THEY OBLIGED!!! On the 2nd Day, I called the front desk, asking about PRIME AND NETFLIX. Immediately, they sent up a technician to show us how to use the TV AND GOOGLE, and how to interact with our phones. In short, WE WERE ABLE TO WATCH OUR FAVORITE MOVIES in the morning and at night. WITH THE COSTCO PACKAGE, we got free valet and free WIFI!!! Every night from 4 PM TO 5 PM, there was a wine and beer night!!! It was often the time when we were returning from touring, to relax, shower, change and get ready for dinner. We actually had time on our FIRST NIGHT to go swimming in the pool on the roof. What a treat!!! Every night, we ate at different place for dinner. On the first two nights, we took advantage of the hotel's shuttle, a big, white Suburban!!! VERY CLASSY!!! We ate dinners at Johnny Costa's, Bar Cecil (NOT TO BE MISSED!!!), and on the last night, Smokin Burgers. We ate out for breakfast one morning, and then we went to KING'S HIGHWAY. It had a 1950's VIBE. We went out every day for activities and touring, EVERY DAY WE RETURNED TO A CLEANED ROOM. We never actually saw them, but the bed was made, trash was removed. ETC. Speaking of ACTIVITIES, we tried on the first day ??( do a SCAVENGER HUNT FROM VIATOR for $49 for 2. TOTAL BUST. DAY 2 was Self Guided Driving Tour of Palm Springs and Palm Springs Aerial Tram. Day 3 was Self Guided Driving Driving Tour of the Windmills and Self Guided Driving Tour of Joshua Tree. We did drop in Aqua Caliente CASINO, and thanks to Vanna White, I made $90.00!!! WHICH WENT TO PAY FOR BAR CECIL.

This review is for the only restaurant there at the golf club…read more Terrible, terrible, terrible for the food and services and ambiance. We were invited by a friend to this so call private golf club to eat. There were literally teenagers working there. The way they dress, talk and no ideas on working in a restaurant or even hospitality. Food presentation was awful and the taste was dried and salty. They never came out to see what we needed. As a customer we had to constantly tell them what to do for all the basic that they should have been trained in. We order coffee. A cup was of coffee was brought out. Where is the creamer. Then creamer was brought out. Can we get a spoon to stir please. Constant back and forth. No self awareness of what is needed on the table or what goes with what. We can hear them laughing aloud in the restaurant as there were only 2 tables with customers including us. We heard recently there was a change of the executive chef, that did not help in quality of the food. But i think they need to re-evaluate the restaurant management and its priority. It appears this club and restaurant services senior people with money, and being private club on a Friday and in Pauma Valley with no nearby restaurants , except for some decent ones in the casinos, they settle for this restaurant. Truly my last time here and will let people know. Hire cooks and service people that want to be in the hospitality business. Not teenagers.

We both had king sized beds with huge closets and a bathroom to share between the bedrooms. The small seating area with couch and a small dining table with 4 chairs was between the bedrooms in front of the bathroom. The kitchenette included a medium sized fridge/freezer and sink with a Keurig coffee maker. It would have been better if they added a small microwave as well, I felt it was the only thing missing. My room with the balcony facing the street also had a wireless charger and sound machine. What a great touch. My friend took the front bedroom with the view of the pool. Both bedrooms had TVs and ceiling fans. The robes were also perfect! I brought my own hotel slippers. Pool area lacked a little bit more of shade but that's a personal preference. It's so nice that the pool and hot tub was open 24/7! The pool bar is so nice to have for a smaller resort like this. It definitely made our experience better! We didn't get to try the restaurant on site but will definitely check it out next time because we're already planning our next stay! Shout out to Sierra for being such a sweet hostess!

This was the proposed hotel for a friend's birthday weekend. Based on the photos, it didn't appear…read moreto be a place we needed to be particularly concerned about--it looked like it would at least meet the basic necessities for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the experience was far below even those expectations. After a long drive, we arrived for check-in and were told that the AC in our suite was not working and that we would instead be placed in separate rooms. Since we were traveling together, we were not comfortable being separated. The front desk associate was also extremely rude and told us that because the manager had moved us, she could not place us in another room comparable to what we originally booked. She said the only option was separate one-bedroom rooms. We asked to speak with the manager, and once he became involved, he immediately instructed the front desk to put us into another room--apparently a two-bedroom room was available after all. I'm still not sure why we were initially told that wasn't an option. Unfortunately, the problems continued once we got into the room. I found visible stains on the sheets, and there was a large, dark footprint on one of the supposedly fresh towels. I have stayed in hotels, Airbnbs, and even on cruise ships, and I have never experienced a situation where the basic linens provided were visibly dirty. I immediately reported the sheets and towel to the staff. When the sheets were finally replaced, the replacement set was also dirty. At that point, I gave up and slept on top of the sheet rather than continuing to ask for replacements. They also only provided one sheet, so I had to wear additional clothes that I had packed with my pajamas just to stay warm. The response time was also frustrating. It took roughly an hour from when the issue was reported for someone to come replace the sheets. I also saw the staff member carrying the linens by hand rather than using a cart, and the linens appeared to be coming up from the stairs, which did not exactly give me confidence in the cleanliness or handling of the bedding. Then there was the hot water--or lack thereof. We essentially had COLD WATER for our showers. This was not an isolated issue; other members of our group staying at the property experienced the same problem. Over our three-to-four-day stay, there was maybe one hot shower available between the three of us. Hot water is a basic expectation at a hotel, and having consistently cold showers was completely unacceptable. I previously worked in property management, and a lack of hot water would be treated as an emergency maintenance issue. That made it even more concerning to see this treated as though it were a minor inconvenience. I have stayed at properties throughout the U.S. and internationally, as well as on cruise ships, and I have never experienced this combination of issues during a stay. We dealt with a room change due to broken AC, dirty sheets, dirty towels, inadequate linen replacement, extremely slow response to a cleanliness issue, and essentially no hot water. This was supposed to be a birthday weekend, and instead, we spent a significant portion of the stay dealing with issues that should have been resolved before guests ever entered the room. The experience fell well below what I consider basic hotel standards, and I would not choose to stay here again.

It's part of a little strip mall with a few other business. The parking situation was a little confusing as we didn't know if you were allowed to park at any of the spots. Some were reserved while some didn't have anything assigned to them. Afterwards we did find out that you were allowed to park there. Street parking is also available if needed. The place is quite nice and literally down the street from the main downtown strip. Also around the corner for the casino. There's a massive patio seating but with the summer heat, no one was outside .Right when you walk in, there's a cute seating area before heading straight to the bar. Main bar as you walk in as well as second bar towards the back area. It's a full bar so whatever you like, it could be made. As we were here for an event, a meet and greet with everyone was perfect for this place. Drinks were rolling and people enjoying getting to know each other. A nice concept to make new friends in the area. Besides wine and cocktails, there's beer as well as food. I didn't get a chance to check the menu but food was supplied at the event. Flatbread were brought out as well as hummus and crudités. Let me say, the selections of flatbread that was served was great. So many different selections and flavors to go around. They were quite nice. The indoor area is an open concept with loads of tables and comfy couches places throughout like seating areas. We also found out that certain nights they offer karaoke. Plus happy hours happens nightly. The crowd for the event was great but being able to check out new places that Palm Springs has to offer was great. It's a place thats perfect for mingling with friends, popping in for a drink or just lounging with a nice glass of wine. Grab some food if you want as they have a good selection on the menu. When the weather allows it, it's perfect for an evening on the patio. This place is now a must for us as it was great. A fun place for a nice glass of wine or cocktails. Glad we finally tried it out. Also, the staff were all amazing and the sweetest. Highly recommend.

Monterey Country Club: Community, Class, and Unmatched Value!…read more Joining Monterey Country Club has been one of the smartest decisions I've ever made. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted by name and treated like family -- it's that rare blend of warmth, professionalism, and genuine community spirit that makes every visit feel special. A huge shoutout to Bobby and Kaitlyn Ellis, who always go above and beyond to make every day at the club an absolute pleasure, and to Juan, the Membership Sales Manager, whose kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail make him an absolute gem. This staff makes you feel not just welcome, but known -- and that's something truly special. Beyond the incredible service and the beautiful course, membership here also comes with access to the Palmer Advantage program, which is a total game-changer. It opens the door to play at country clubs across the country -- both public and private -- under the Arnold Palmer management umbrella. Most of the clubs I've visited through the program don't charge a green fee at all -- just a cart fee, typically between $15 and $32. That's an unbelievable value, and I've been taking full advantage of it, especially now during the desert's overseeding break! Monterey Country Club isn't just a place to play golf -- it's a community that feels like home. If you're even thinking about joining a club in the Coachella Valley, do yourself a favor and check out Monterey. I promise you won't be disappointed.

*Monterey is a Wonderful Place*…read more The guard gated community is beautiful and peaceful... The condos/homes are spacious, light & bright with high ceilings and beautiful views of the golf courses... The swimming pools are all nice but kinda small...and the jacuzzi spas aren't hot enough... The gym is very old & outdated in need of a major facelift and better equipment & dumbbells. I've rarely seen a gym I didn't like nor can't deal with until this one. And happy I wasn't forced to workout at this facility... The Clubhouse tho is very nice...and Letty at the front desk is so friendly & welcoming...and sweet as can be... But the star of the show is/was Dennis at the Clubhouse restaurant/bar. Friendly cool dude who know's his stuff, has extensive experience in the restaurant/bar industry, provides amazing & professional service...and he was able to keep up with me while talking about sports :) Had their Ahi Tuna for a pre dinner Appetizer and it was fantastico. The "center-cut ahi tuna" was extremely fresh...and all the flavors of the dish paired very well. They do something with the sauces that's not common -- they use hoisin sauce, instead of sweet eel sauce, and together with their spicy tuna aioli it's a perfect combination. Because IMO, most eel sauces are too sweet & sugary. Compliments to the Head Chef. We intend to comeback one day for brunch because believe it or not, their Lox & Bagel Plate is only $13...and the funny thing is, when we saw that on the menu, wifey & I discussed a return visit in the future...and when we began our conversation with Dennis, discussing their menu, he told us "you need to comeback another day for the $13 Lox & Bagel Plate" and we all had a good laugh about that. My only complaint is they close the Clubhouse restaurant/bar @5pm...and it'd be nice if they stayed open later. Because I'd most defiantly linger to watch a ballgame on one their large flatscreen tv's...and spend more money on food & drinks...and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would. But all & all...Monterey Country Club is a wonderful place, centrally located in the heart of Palm Desert, right on the borderline of Rancho Mirage.
