I've had horrible interactions with pharmacists just being rude and judging me and telling me what my doctor should or shouldn't be doing, I hated the experience, I dreaded it but since going to Tony's I have had such a BETTER/different experience. The women that work there are very friendly and helpful. The pharmacist is very professional and kind. It makes my day a lot better dealing with a pharmacy that treats there patients with respect and now a days with walgreens, cvs and other local pharmacies i.e; that makes you wait 1 hour after you call them 2 hours prior so you don't have to wait but when you get there to pick it up its not ready and they say we will start it now but I called you 2 hours ago so I didn't have to wait 1 hour ( there not a big chain but I don't want to say the name because I don't want others that go there to be treated worse which will happen if they see this and unfortunately, a family member needs there meds but the woman that was filling it was extremely rude like I was shocked she acted that way after spending thousands of dollars...but we know we can't say anything or they just won't fill it) which is so unprofessional but my point is Tony's has none of that you don't have to put up with attitudes and very questionable pricing. The store itself has beautiful gifts and a lot of animal friendly things to buy. If you need a better pharmacy or pharmacists that treats you with respect and doesnt act like your bothering them please switch if you can. I wish I went to Tony's Family Pharmacy a lot sooner! If they don't have what you need but can order it they will tell you right then and there and keep you updated. It's very hard to find a pharmacy with out the stress and I know now there is at least one in Monmouth County. Thank you to everyone that works at Tony's Family Pharmacy!! I really appreciate it and can now see these other pharmacies could care less about you and your health. It's not you that's the problem this is the career they chose if they have a question then contact the doctor they shouldn't be taking it out on you. As a patient we don't even see the script and once its sent to one pharmacy majority of the time you can't switch it to a different one the doctor has to but we are just trying to get our medicine 99 percent of people aren't trying to make anyone's life harder. Sorry for the very long review but I have dealt with pharmacies just being so ridiculous but it was a blessing in disguise because I have zero complaints about Tonys. They are great!!!!

I walked up to the register expecting this to take maybe thirty seconds. The cashier looked at me and said, "I'll be right back." No problem in theory. Except what followed was one of the slowest, most passive aggressive performances I have ever seen in a store. He did not just walk slowly. He dragged himself across the store like every step was an act of protest. He went to deal with another customer somewhere else, moving at a speed that said very clearly, "Your time means nothing to me." No apology, no "Give me one moment," nothing. Just vanishing while I am standing there at the register like an idiot holding two candy bars. Then the return trip. Same slow shuffle back. No urgency, no acknowledgment that I had been waiting this whole time. By the time he finally got back, several minutes had passed for something that should have taken less than a minute. I told him, very calmly given the situation, that he should have checked me out first. His response was, "He was ahead of you." That explanation would carry more weight if he had shown any sign of trying to be efficient or considerate. Instead, he decided to prove a point. He started scanning my two candy bars with exaggerated slow movements, like he wanted to annoy me on purpose. This is not just bad service. It is contempt for the customer. If you work a register, your job is simple. Acknowledge the person standing in front of you. Move with some basic level of urgency. Do not act like ringing up two items is an inconvenience to you. And absolutely do not respond to feedback by intentionally slowing down more. Management needs to take a serious look at who they put at the front of the store, because this kind of attitude drives people away. I will go out of my way to avoid this location from now on.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE MARLBORO WALGREENS SPECIFICALLY…read more Going into the store as a shopper, everything is overpriced. LOVED it when the store was a Rite-Aid, everything was pretty much cheap and there were sales. Pharmacy at this location SUCKS. We switched to a private pharmacy after multiple hassles with Rite-Aid/Walgreens pharmacy and couldn't be happier. I submitted an application for the Customer Service Associate position at my local store. Management called back within a day and I specified that I could only work 7-8 hours weekly. Management took this information and they told me that they need candidates to fill basically all positions which I thought was great. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances I had to cancel our interview. I called Management back, telling them that I would be more than happy to meet with them at a later date. Management said that she already cancelled the application and that I'd need to reapply, which I did. I called Management to let them know that I reapplied, and when I asked about meeting at a later date, Management got extremely rude with me and she told me that she'd call back later to confirm the later date. It is now almost 48 hours since our last call and I've moved on to other job opportunities.

Nice staff here in a store that is generally well stocked with a little bit of everything. Good to have around in a pinch. The pharmacy staff is pretty helpful (although our favorite pharmacist, Joe has left) . Would love it if this one were a 24 hour location, but I guess the business here doesn't call for it. That and there is 24 hour Walgreens in Freehold already.

They employ locals and I can usually find exactly what I need. The downsides are the pharmacy getting backed up and the store occasionally closing early, which is totally inconvenient. They also have photo department issues they don't always have the paper or card stock needed for online orders, so they sometimes send you to another location. Overall, good atmosphere but definitely room for improvement!

On Friday November 7th at approximately 6:30, I went into the Walgreens in Freehold by Acme. I had…read moresome time while waiting for my food order and my 2 year old needed shampoo and soap. I went online and saw the Raw Sugar Kids shampoo and conditioner in the coconut scent was on sale 50% off. I found it and did notice the price listed was the original price. I went up to the register and it also rang up the original price. I showed my phone to the young man helping me and he started to say he was going to adjust it. That's when TAY, the customer lead, came up and told me the price wasn't for in store. She told me I had to do a pickup order. I said okay and she, rather curtly told me to "step over there so they can help other customers." I responded with "of course, no problem". When trying to place the pickup order it stated I needed an order of $10 or more. I only needed the shampoo. When the other customers had left, I went up again and said the pickup option did not work for me and could she please just do a price adjustment. (I have later learned Walgreens policy is Walgreens does not match competitors' prices, but it will match its own prices from Walgreens.com for in-store purchases. To get a price match, the item must be identical in every way, and you must have a store associate verify the online price. This is limited to one transaction per customer per day.) She said she couldn't and that price wasn't for an in store purchase. I asked where it says that on my phone. She couldn't answer me. I asked if she could show me any documentation stating that. She said she couldn't but I could come back on Monday and speak to someone. My voice did get louder as I asked again where it states online purchase or pickup. She again could not give me an answer. I then went to hand her my phone and said "please show me where it says not in store". I was then told, " l don't want to look at your f*cken phone". Immediately, my voice did raise as I told her I wanted her name, the corporate number and her manager's name. She started writing it on a scrap of paper and I snapped, "don't forget your manager's name". That is when she crumpled up the paper and told me to "get the f*ck out of the store" and she was calling the police. I yelled "excuse me, for what? Wanting a price adjustment or an explanation?" She then grabbed the phone and kept her back to me. I called her a coward and did call her yell an obscenity as I walked out. I moved my car a few aisles away because I was still waiting for my food order and I did not want it to seem like I was lingering to start anything. A few minutes later, two Freehold police cars show up. I explained what happened and they understood that I only wanted an explanation or adjustment. Then they went into the store. When the officer came out, I was told I wasn't being charged with anything (umm, I was the one who was initially verbally assaulted) but I was going to be given a no trespassing order to not return to that Walgreens for 6 months. So, TAY was not following Walgreens policies, cursed more than once at a customer, called the police and had a no trespassing order put on someone that never once threatened her, the store or anyone in it. TAY should not be working in customer service.
