I do not recommend The Birches Health Facility at Trillum Woods. It is a clean, nice looking…read morefacility with good staff during the day but the night time and weekend staff is NOT good. They repeatedly left my family member in a chair without access to the call remote for help when they knew he couldn't get out of the chair without assistance post surgery. They left sharp debris from a broken razor on the floor which I discovered when visiting the room. Even worse, the night nurse told me off when I brought it to her attention! As if that wasn't bad enough, in the same 24 hours they called to inform me that they found blood on the floor and sheets, and a skin tear on my family member ( as MN law requires them to do) but they had no idea what happened - just that he was lying in bed. I took my family member out of there!

From frequenting a national caregiver's forum, I know how absolutely rare this service is. When…read morefaced with finding care facilities, most people in the U.S. have to go it alone or with a patchwork of insufficient advice from profit-driven referral agencies or underfunded social organizations. They dig through marketing materials, sales pitches, and inconsistent pricing models and juggle site visits, never getting the inside scoop to have confidence that they're selecting the best fit for their loved one. After a phone interview exploring everything from ADL needs to personality quirks, TCC took that data, came back to us within a week with their 4 top suggestions. They offered a rundown of exactly why each would fit with knowledge of the history of each, their business practices, style of care, staffing levels, along with an apples-to-apples comparison of monthly costs. Our TCC rep met us for site visits scheduled across two days, and made sure we got the info we needed, asking questions once ours were done to fill in any gaps. At each site, we spent a few minutes after meeting with the staff to talk to our rep and she ensured we had what we needed and shared her insights about the visit. When we'd completed all the visits, we spent a few days making a decision. We had what we needed to understand the daily experience as well as both short and long-term financial effects including the impact of a potential future switch to Medicaid funding at each option. We let our rep know, and she informed each home of our decision so we were ready to coordinate with the chosen home on move-in preparation. There is truly no substitution for the amount of knowledge and guidance that you get from TCC. A year later, it's clear we found the best place for our situation with their help. They're awesome and I recommend that everyone researching an assisted living, memory care, or similar facility call them first.

I had an amazing experience then and using them again this year in April 2025 was no different. We worked with Diana, who was so kind, compassionate, and super knowledgeable about senior living and all the details that go with it. We found a great place for my mom and I'm very thankful that Diana was such a great resource for us, guiding us to companies that could help my mom move, asking great questions and making sure we fully understood what each place provided. Plus her presence was very calming. I highly recommend Twin Cities Care!

The registration process was fairly seamless, and the doctors were kind and focused on my children's experience. When we took my youngest child, it was a little bumpy, or than when we took my oldest last night. However, in both instances, the doctors were beyond excellent. The nurses were kind and responsive as well, but the bedside manner of the doctors was what stood out this trip. One concern I do want to notice is that there seems to be a glitch in their medication ordering system, which did not permit the nurse to get the medication needed within a timely manner. Apparently, this has been going on for days and the health staff have brought this forward for internal review multiple times. I hope this gets fixed as it does. Sit back there a patient's healing process when medical providers have to wait for medication.

When the manager of her building noticed that they hadn't seen her in several days, they reached out to law enforcement for a welfare check. Unfortunately, she was found deceased in her apartment. As the person who is handling her estate, I was the one in contact with the people from Fine Associates and they could not have been any nicer or more helpful. My aunt was a pack rat and didn't value a clean home (to put it mildly), so I was feeling extremely overwhelmed by what was facing me in her apartment. Fine Associates worked with me and offered a solution that was way more fair to me/our family than it was to them. Their kindness and compassion is uncommon in today's world, especially when it comes to businesses - but we sure appreciate it. I can't say enough good things about how they handled a truly awful situation.

The staff seems to try their best... my mom can be difficult but the staff handle her with grace. The building itself is beautiful and well maintained. The food is pretty decent, I join my mom for meals sometimes and the dining room is always nice and social. What's especially great about Yorkshire is the location. Other buildings we toured were located on a highway or in an industrial area but this building is in the heart of Edina with lots of amenities nearby. My mom uses a walker but she is still able to get to the library, the coffee shop, and the Target nearby. I think overall management is pretty good considering the high turnover that is rampant in the senior care industry. Personally I think it's stupid for people to complain that low paid caregivers are not some amazing high end professionals. It is what it is, if you don't like it, hire a top of the line nurse for $75-$100/hour! My mom's meds have never been screwed up, she is medication averse but the staff make sure she takes all her pills, her apartment is always clean, her laundry is done regularly, and they try to engage her in social activities.

They are a medium intensity inpatient facility that offers a good balance of educational programming, therapy and assistance with life and transitioning successfully to the "real world". 20 hours of programming is a breeze to participate in since they let you sign out and participate in the community from 2 PM until their 10 PM curfew. From the residential, which is typically 30-90 day stay, they suggest attending their 'Intensive Outpatient Program' (IOP), which has multiple convenient locations throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul. The BEST PART is they pay for your rent at any of their approved 'MASH Sober Homes' so long as you're enrolled in IOP. The only downside is they don't offer any stepdown after IOP (20 hrs./wk). 5 days a week, 4 hours per day to nothing isn't the best recipe for success, but they can direct clients to other programs to fit their needs. They have 2 men's residences located conveniently on 1st Ave in the Whittier neighborhood, within walking distance to The Minneapolis Alano Society (2218 Club) which is the oldest, still functional Alano Society in the world. They recently just opened a 3rd residential location to serve the woman in the community who often are neglected/forgotten in the recovery community. :-[ All in all, it's the BEST treatment program I've ever been a part of.
