This morning my 2 1/2 -year-old son dislocated his elbow and had excruciating pain in his wrist…read moreI've never seen my son in so much pain and wasn't sure what to do my sister and other people had told me about indigo care and I wasn't wanting to spend 5 1/2 hours at Saint Pete's hospital as usual. Upon arriving to the Tumwater location they directed me to the Lacey location because of the x-ray technician there. They made an appointment for me and asked the other location if they could get me in sooner than my appointment. The MultiCare indigo care in Lacey was amazing! The customer service from the front and the nurse that triaged my son was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. The nurse put an ice pack on his area of pain and It wasn't long before the physician assistant Teresa saw my son and treated him immediately. Teresa knew exactly what was wrong with him and fixed his dislocated elbow. She also gave him and icicle ice cream pop and some stickers. It was incredible how fast he was healed *and was able* to attend school. I highly recommend this place The staff are incredible customer service is amazing and my son's health is back to normal

Office staff does not know how to view or process insurance. Tried to bill me for a $200+ copay…read moreeven though a month before I went to the same urgent care and 100% was paid by insurance. Instead of listening the front desk is focused on different ways to say no. I will never try to work with Multicare for my urgent care needs. Providence was fast, friendly and there were no billing issues. Too bad Multicare is more focused on money than care

#THANKYOUTHURSDAY…read more Urgent Care is never the spot you want to be at, but when you need it, it's frustrating when you're not able to get in. This was the case for me this week - my son came down with a nasty cough and was complaining of ear pain, so I wanted to get him in and make sure we weren't dealing with anything serious. The Point Ruston Indigo was the ONLY place that was close-ish by that had same day appointments and easy online booking. Thaaaank gooodnessss. This was our first time to this particular urgent care, and I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and updated it is! I know a lot of the businesses at Ruston are newer, and this spot is no exception. All of the staff was really nice. The front desk woman was nice and got us back as quickly as she could, and the nurse/medical assistant who we dealt with for the first half of our appointment was so great with my son. He had to get the nasal swab which is never fun, but she was awesome with him and was able to get it done with next to no tears. The actual provider was also really nice and got us out with our prescription for antibiotics quickly. When we left I got a call from them that we had left my daughter's binky behind (which was yet to be discovered) which I thought was so kind of them! I know some kids are very attached to a certain type of binky, so that could've been catastrophic. Thank you to this office for providing the community with great and efficient care!

Not good. Didn't even have a physician on sight. Daughter was incorrectly diagnosed by a nurse…read morebecause no doctor was on sight. X-ray specialist didn't know how to get an accurate X-ray, and then upon leaving were told we would be shown to the door. We were not rude, impatient or loud. Reception staff was kind is the only nice thing I can say about the service we received.

He repeatedly told me their was nothing wrong with me and that I absolutely didn't have Strep. Two minutes later my step test came back positive and he was left trying to backtrack but still insisted I didn't have it. THis was the worst I had ever been treated by a medical professional.

I let them know I tried to get an appointment a month ago and ahead of time, but the soonest appointment was 4 months away. I did not have a 4 month supply. These guys were able to get me an earlier appointment a few weeks away, awesome thank you. But then I sat there for over FIVE hours. Once I finally saw the nurse practitioner, who was again, very nice, my conversation and transaction with her took one minute. Yup. I waited five hours for one minute. I had to take a sick day from work to cover my time sitting there. A day of my life I will never get back. The system here doesn't work. I get some people need more help than others but you would think the "easy" people as I was told I was numerous times, could be in and out and out of their hair instead of turning people away as they came in later in the day because they were full. Why would an hour go by and no one in the waiting room was called? One lady came in describing a heart attack and she was turned away. I felt horrible for her. I hope she is ok.

Saw Joseph Guthrie he was very nice, and I thank him for being efficient! Only downfall is that parking lot, the Starbucks drive thru line is right in front of the parking. So I had to wait for the line to move so I could back out, but nothing having to do with how amazing Indigo is! Starbucks needs a new location! Thank you for being awesome!

I don't like reviews where people start off with "I have always loved this place but on this one…read moreoccasion, they didn't seat me immediately, bring water on a timely basis etc." therefore they give them one star after dozens of trips. That said, I give this place 2.5 stars. I have been there a few times and left neither satisfied nor dissatisfied. However, my last experience left me very dissatisfied. I had been sick for about 9-10 days before I determined that I wasn't going to get better. I really try and fight the urge to go to an Urgent Care at this time of year during... cold and flu season. Indigo is close so I went on their site, and I was #21 in line. Set up a virtual session this time, big mistake. The provider was nice, I shared my history with her, and she gave referrals to address my root cause issues. That said, my immediate symptoms were not treated. Of course, there would be no blood draws, no sampling of any bios. I told her what previous fixes worked for my symptoms; those, being antibiotics (BTW I am 63, what death do I need to wait out before it's determined, now he needs antibiotics) or steroid treatments. I had a cough, didn't need treatment and said don't prescribe Benzonatate. I have a surplus of it and take over the counter syrups when ill. It was prescribed anyway and, in a rush, paid for it at CVS because there was another scrip. Since I was feeling no better 6 days later, I appealed to the clinic to reconsider treating me in the ways I suggested. I did not want to have to wade through a cadre of sick people, for hours, only to set up another expensive visit and spend additional hours at a walk in. I AM CERTAINLY NOT ABOVE the usual pecking order of urgent treatment, but this is, IMO, sub-par follow through.

Labor and delivery specifically: I had a great induction and delivery. All the nurses I interacted…read morewith were so nurturing, supportive and let me choose my care and really reassured me I'd be ok the whole time. Specifically shouting out a few nurses that really made a difference for me were Jillian, Bre, Lakita, Katie and Caitlyn (if the names were wrong or spelled wrong I'm sorry, I was a little loopy a lot of the time). Honestly my whole care team was amazing. I'm coming back to this labor and delivery for my next baby because I know I'm going to get the best care.

Today's interview with the Providence Emergency Department Crisis Unit, once again, several people…read moreinitially presented for the interview panel. The Program Coordinator Behavioral Health Services, an LMHC, I would have to say, was the one person who coordinated this interview who had the least social and professional personality and presented as "stand-offish". It was embarrassing that this credentialed individual in my field of work (mental health) would not have better interview skills than this, but it is the reality of Providence that they hired her. The Program Coordinator was vague and uninviting, and when asked about the next step in the interview process, she immediately dodged the question by saying they had several more interviews this week and into next week. However, I asked when I would know the outcome. One interviewer, a manager, struggled to ask his questions (i.e., speaking and coordinating his words were difficult), and another nurse manager asked when I was completing my doctorate, which was already on my resume. The manager who was struggling to speak because my PsyD from an APA-approved university asked that, once I finished, I move to the other state where the degree came from. Before this question, I had already mentioned that I live in Washington, that my family is in Washington, and that this was our "forever" home, but he asked again. The interview began with six participants, but by the end, only three remained on the call. Attendees dropped off while I was answering the interview questions. Leaving a virtual interview abruptly, without explanation, is generally considered unprofessional and discourteous, as it shows a lack of respect for the candidate's time. Although technical issues can occur, professional etiquette suggests that an interviewer should acknowledge the issue, offer an apology if feasible, and arrange a reschedule. Moreover, the meeting was intended to be an interview, but it lacked structure; the questions posed were random and were made spontaneously by each interviewer. Due to the virtual format, we encountered connectivity issues that caused an echo when we spoke, as well as delays in the sound from the management officials. Still, be mindful that this is not how you treat an applicant by making them responsible for resolving connectivity issues and take the time to explain what this job entails. Not one manager took the time to discuss the position. This is an organization that may (or may not) pay well. However, the fact that people in management positions who hire for the emergency department and a crisis unit cannot have better communication or interview skills is clearly wasting massive amounts of money on useless interviews. It leaves an applicant to believe there is no accountability, and if the public does their research, they will find comments like, "...multiple nurses walked by and did not check on me or say anything to the nurse assigned to me. They have that 'if it is not my patient, it is not my problem' attitude..." The response is probably how the staff feel about their job today. Again, I recommend that you save your skills and go somewhere where you feel valued from the start of your interview through the hiring process. Avoid the Providence Health System (especially in Olympia, Washington) as a whole.
