I made a recent purchase to replace a plate I accidentally dropped and broke. The company's website wasn't functioning properly when I purchased a dinner plate....all of their dinner plates had the same SKU, so they sent me the wrong plate. When I contacted them (after confirming the issue was still present after receiving the plate), they blamed it on my mobile phone (several of their other items online didn't have this issue, and I shared several screenshots of the issue, and they gaslighted me saying it was my phone...I've worked on IT for years, and turned their website upside down before reaching out to them to get this resolved). The issue was fixed on their website after I brought it to their attention, and their "solution" for the customer experience was to pay to ship the wrong item back (I didn't have the packing materials to re-use anymore, because I recycled them before I could confirm it wasn't the correct item when I got home). We went back/forth a couple of days, and they refused to replace it in good faith so that I'd have the packing materials to return the wrong item in. They suggested I could purchase ANOTHER plate (keep in mind, the $20 plate cost $12.95 in shipping for this purchase), and use THAT shipping box to PAY to ship the wrong item back to them ($12.95 times 3 for a $20 plate). She passed the call off to Jeff, he told me that they are too busy to return calls. He gave me several excuses why. He told me that posting a review doesn't matter. I'm bet it doesn't. I'm sure I'm not the only Customer that they have treated poorly! They actually packed up two of the six mugs that I ordered and mail them to me. Both have no glaze in two spots. Shocking to me that somebody could pack these up and not notice that they are damaged. I guess they're too busy to look at their merchandise before they pack it up and send to the customer. The original owners were great help and would give you a fair deal on the products they sold As well as price match. NOT ANYMORE!! The new owners have literally taken all of the inventory they purchased from the old owners and doubled the cost of that on almost all of their inventory. When called on it they tell you this is my shop if you don't like it you can get out. So after coming here for the last decade or so I will no longer be sending any of my friends or family to this place to get any type of gardening supply. It was really sad too because, the original owners had really good ideas and really good input and feedback. They went out of their way to help you. these new owners,all they want to do is take your money. So If you have to unfortunately shop here, please make sure you price check and make sure they're not charging you double for an item that should not be charged double. One example is there tiny bag of perlite that they want $20 for that you can get the same exact bag at home depot at $5.99 that is current market price. This is not my issue this is just one prime example of the hyperinflation these guys have done. The product that I purchase or was going to purchase which I have purchased from the previous owners in previous years at a cost of around $72 , and which I can pick up at Walmart right now for $92 or online in multiple places for $75 they want $150. When showing them that they have marketed their stuff way up, they get way defensive for some reason. I would too if I were ripping off my community. So today they definitely lost my business and any chance of me ever going back there, or sending anyone to them again.
