It's not the worst place ever, and the office people are nice enough. My biggest issue was our actual unit. We rented one of the carriage houses, and during the summer, it never got any less than 10 degrees cooler than the temperature outside, so there were a lot of miserable days and nights. In the winter, we kept our Nest thermostat at 64 degrees (not warm at all) and still our heat ran 100% of the time and our electric bill in January was $500. At one point our A/C stopped working and it got to 90 degrees in our home but that wasn't an urgent item for maintenance to fix, and I had to bug the office repeatedly over two days to get someone to look at it. I really wasn't so concerned about myself but felt bad about my dogs having to be in that heat. The location is great and there are walkable trails and easy access to Meijer and restaurants, but for the price (the cheapest rent per month based on lease length went up approximately $200 I believe) and the electric bill, I would highly recommend 1) a one floor unit or 2) living somewhere else that's equally close to those places and is newer and similarly priced. edit: we manipulated our vents and even bought blowers for our vents to help the situation and nothing did. I totally understand what happens with a unit of that size - I'm just warning people how much you'll really spend per month and not to live in those particular units. read more

Where do I even start. 1. Office is opened 3 days a week when i know other Buckingham apartments are 5-6 days a week. You can never get a hold of the gals in there and if you do they're super rude & stuck up. "PuT a WoRk OrDeR iN" or how about you do your job. 2. Ant infestation when we first moved in June 2025. 3. My dog is 4 and has never had fleas in HIS LIFE until we came here. I cried for days. 4. MY HEAT!! It is so broke that they don't even know what's wrong with it, guys just come in & change a piece and say we're good. It shuts off and never kicks back on after getting to that temperature, so we wake up at 5am everyday to it being 60 degrees in here & having to turn it on. 5. Yes, you hear everything!!! I highly don't recommend these apartments if I say so myself. I get it super old buildings but it's your job to make sure it doesn't get like this. Not the happiest person right now. read more

Walls are so thin you can here your neighbors having normal conversations. Thank you for the response. I want to note that I have emailed multiple times regarding this issue and have not received timely follow-up. Unfortunately, the office hours make it difficult for me to come in and speak with someone in person. The lack of communication has been the most frustrating part of this situation. I will reach out again, but I expect a prompt response, a clear timeline, and a resolution to this matter. read more

SEWAGE SMELL & FLIES and a million other things. My apartment reeks of sewage and has been infested with sewage flies for MONTHS. If you're looking at this place right now, you should NOT live here. They charge $2000 a month for a place that smells like sewage, inept/gaslighting Maintenance who lies to your face, air-conditioning that breaks down for MONTHS, trash outside the dumpster piled 6 feet high, and so many other things. This place is GROSS! The nice appearance of this place is a façade to fool you. It looks pretty on the outside, but is absolutely decrepit and old inside. I literally have black rings of sewage around my sink drains in my bathroom. This place sucks beyond words! Heed what everyone says here. Look at the reviews here and Google. Don't depend on the clearly fake apartment.com ones. Adding to this, no one in the office will ever ever ever return your call. You have to wait out on the lawn to catch the one woman who comes here a couple hours a day. And guess what? She won't talk to you and she will tell you that you have to make an appointment even if you're literally standing there with her face-to-face in the yard because she's never there. None of this is exaggerated and I'm just going pretty easy on it right now because I live here. I've had to create my own solutions to the multiple problems I've had in this place, and it's absolutely ridiculous. Right now I'm using a shower curtain as the "door" to my laundry area because they've been here I think five times maybe to fix my old door's tracking and it just comes right off again within a day or two. One time they "fixed it" by shoving an old battery under the tracking where there was a gap. That time it came right off before the maintenance guy had even made it all the way downstairs. I finally said, screw it and now I have a shower curtain hanging over it, a sewage smell in my apartment, flies that torment me and swarm my food when I'm trying to eat (I've tried EVERYTHING to get rid of them), and there's no way I can have company over here. This is by far the worst and most expensive place I've ever lived. If you happen to be looking at this place right now, I wanted to warn you. Don't live here cause it smells like shit, literally. I'm currently on day eight in a row of calling the office asking them me to call me back. I guess now I need to go stand out on the lawn for however long until she pulls in for her daily hour of doing nothing. I am telling the truth when I say that I have been out there before with another resident or two, also waiting to catch her. Half the time they don't even have the blinds open in the office. This is such an absolute waste of an apartment and money. They don't care. Stay away!!! Oh, OK. One last thing, warm weather is coming up. My air-conditioning has had to be replaced TWICE in three years no joke. Last summer it was out for over a month. Then, because so many air conditioners were out throughout the complex, they didn't have enough portable air conditioners for everyone so some were stuck living in 100° homes. My bathroom topped out at 98°. Again this happened twice in three years. Oh and heed what everyone says about the utility bills also. I've paid $300 or more for a month of heating in the winter. I've had to put duct tape over the gaps in my door to keep the draft of frigid air flowing through it. I have so many other things. But here you go. (Any automated response from them you see here is for appearances, actually just like this apartment Don't fall for it. Obviously it's clear that it's all fake because look at these reviews! Here's a tip: search for "air conditioning" for example and then you'll see all of the complaints for air-conditioning condensed in one place.) read more

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU MOVE INTO THIS PROPERTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! * During my initial walk-through, I found roaches. Yes, ROACHES!!! No, they didn't come from me as none of my items or furniture had been moved into the new place. I had to argue with the property to bring in pest control. They were trying to convince me it was water bugs. It wasn't. I had to contact a lawyer to draft a proper email to the property before action was taken. This delayed my move-in date by a week. * During the first week, my washer stopped working. I had to contact maintenance to fix it. * Within two months, winter hit and I found out that the place wasn't insulated. I had to buy two space heaters to keep the second floor at a decent temp. It wasn't warm but I managed with socks, flannel pants, and a hoodie inside the house. * About five months after I moved in, I was sent an email that I was being charged an eviction fee because I had failed to pay my rent. When I moved in, I was told that I had until the end of business on the 10th calendar day of the month to pay my rent. I would have late fees added but the account wouldn't be turned over to their lawyers until after the 10th calendar day of the month. On the 10th calendar day of the month at noon, I was sent an email that my account was being sent to their lawyers to start the eviction process. The EOB is usually 5 pm NOT NOON!!!!! When I tried to call the front office, no one answered their phone. I called, emailed, and went to the front office, NOTHING!!!!!!!!! After repeatedly calling for two hours straight, I finally was able to talk to someone. I was told this is "standard practice" and if I was able to pay my bill before the end of the business day the fee would be reversed. I call BS. I have receipts that show I had previously paid my rent on the 10th calendar day of the month at 5 pm and never received an eviction notice or legal fee. I have three proofs of payments that confirm it. But the fee wasn't automatically reversed. I had to call and email again for a week before the fee was finally reversed. Also, I never heard anything from the front office after the bill was paid. * The biggest problem is the AC. I had read other's reviews about the AC issue and was hoping I would be the exception. I wasn't. The first time my AC went out, it was over the weekend. Luckily it was cool that weekend and I could open the windows and allow a breeze. The second time, I wasn't so lucky. It has been in the mid 80's outside but the temps inside are 80/81!!!!! Maintenance didn't respond to my request for four freaking days!!! When they did respond it was to tell me that a contractor will be out the following Tuesday or Wednesday. So, I waited. On Tuesday, a contractor came out to look at my AC. I was told they had to order a part and it would be in the next day. The next day came and went without any communication. On Thursday, I started calling the front office constantly to get an update about my service request. I DID NOT GET AN ANSWER UNTIL 04:45PM on Thursday. IT WAS 87 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND 82 INSIDE!! I WAS TOLD THAT THE CONTRACTOR WON'T BE BACK UNTIL MONDAY OR TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. IT WILL BE IN THE HIGH 80S/ LOW 90S ALL WEEKEND. ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did file a complaint with Carmel Board of Code Violation. I do not think anything will happen with it but it was filed. At this point, I am tired of the ridiculous mismanagement of this property. If I had the money to break my lease, I would leave tomorrow. What type of business treats their customers with such disrespect? Rhetorical question, it's A MONEY HUNGRY, GREEDY, POORLY MANAGED COMPANY. My kids, dogs, and I will have gone without AC for 15-16 days. The majority of the days the temp was over 80 degrees in the house. I don't think I have cried so much in my life. I can't believe a business would treat people like this. I have only been at this property 7 months and these are the issues I have encountered. I will not be renewing my lease. I hate moving and I don't care. They are extremely quick to take your money but less likely to fix their property. It's a beautiful façade with a crumbling interior. For the amount I pay in rent, this place is worse than living in the projects. I would expect something different from a property in Carmel in what is supposed to be considered a "prime location". PLEASE, DO NOT MOVE IN HERE. MAYBE IF THEIR MOVE-IN RATE DECREASES MANAGEMENT WILL BE FORCED TO REVIEW THEIR STAFF PERFORMANCE AND MAKE ADJUSTMENTS. Do Better, Buckingham!!! Also, don't bother calling their corporate office, Buckingham. I did that and didn't get a response from them either. It's all CRAP!!!!! I TRULY HATE THIS PLACE AND EVERYONE IN MANAGEMENT!!!! Providence will probably answer this review with a boilerplate response. That is their typical MO. read more

Been dealing with a serious raccoon problem in the ceiling/roof above my apartment for over two months. I sent in several maintenance requests and emails throughout this time period, and it seems like they have only started to address it because another renter was making a bigger fuss than I have the time/energy to do. Had a few pest companies come in to check it out now (once with no notice, needing to access the attic from my unit) but still no resolution-- and I'm due to renew my lease soon. Lease renewal is another headache. You're given a 90-day renewal offer and have to accept one of the rates within a month to lock it in, but you're also required to give 60 days notice prior to moving out... so I'm essentially left with the options of choosing one of the new rental terms by the 31st or letting them know I'm moving out by the 2nd. And I still don't know if I would have to continue sharing my space with these raccoons. They also decided to renovate the mail room and let us know on a Friday afternoon that we had through the weekend to get our mail or it would be returned to sender, then we had to pick up any additional mail from the post office in the two weeks the mail room would be out of commission. Seems like we should have been given more than just a couple days notice (on a Friday afternoon, no less) to make these arrangements. Every time I go out of town now, I'm a little worried there will be more last-minute renovations or changes to services that they waited to tell us about. It's a huge shame because these apartments are in a great location. There are a ton of new apartments going up around Carmel though, so don't waste your time and money here. read more

Giving a one star is doing them a favor. If you're thinking about moving here, don't. Staff will try to manipulate your lease/pay. "Maintenance" doesn't fix anything and just resolves the issue in the system. Giving them the title as maintenance is a little embarrassing read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE! Save yourself. This apartment complex does not care about you or your concerns. Look around at reviews and you will find commonalities like never fixing things when they break, no one answering phones or calling you back or responding to emails, sending you to collections for bills they never actually notified you that you owed! To this day, we have a maintenance request that we submitted 10 days ago and have not received a visit, phone call, or update...and we have tried many times to reach them. I'm actually scared to leave this place when our lease ends for fear of some outrageous mystery fee. We moved here a few years back and the previous management was good, but within the past year everything has gone horribly down hill. read more

I left a note on a google platform too. This place is absolutely terrible. If you have experienced bad management in previous locations, this place takes the cake by a long shot. I was told that I was an idiot for not having common sense and that my voice was insignificant as I was the only one complaining. The complaint is due to me having to live with second hand smoke coming through the vents and into the dryer. When I asked to have the dryer replaced they said, 'this is apartment living - you have to live with the smells and everything else (including loud noise). The most thoughtless, arrogant and incompetent set of management I have ever come remotely near to. I pray for the sake of future tenants that this lot sort themselves out. read more

I decided to officially move out after dealing with things such as: -rent increased by almost 20% when my 1 bedroom wasn't newly renovated -constantly found nails/torn carpet in stairwells, side walks and parking lot after apartments were renovated -maintenance coming into my apartment without permission. I walked in and they had blocked off my dog in my bedroom with my bar stools when I asked them not to come in since I did not have a cage for my dog -nuisance charges like rental insurance and late fees that had to be taken off because they were charged by mistake -found/heard mice in my apartment and was told they would have to deal with it on Monday since they could not call anyone because it was a Friday afternoon and about to be the weekend :/ -called the security officer for a man sleeping in a car and they did not answer after multiple times calling I used to love living here, however the past two years I have felt very differently about this apartment complex :( I would not recommend this apartment complex. read more

Terrible management. Our toilet was broken for over a year! Had to flush 3-5 times for anything to go down, was that way moving in and they tried to blame us for it. Snaked it and didn't bother doing anything else to actually fix it. Hallways smell like dirty diapers constantly, trash always left out everywhere, literally found dog poo smeared down the hallway and sticks and rocks everywhere, so if you want to live like a hobo this is a place to start I suppose. Elevator broke for several months. Had several attempted entrys, I work from home and would see the doorknob turn.the door into the building had a broken lock so anyone can come in. Had an exterminator try to enter the apartment without permission. Overall the place looked nice enough, it's just a huge safety and health hazard.... read more

Well The bugs are back !! This place is a mess. I was told we could only Email Buckingham.....When I try it's rejected. I think you should find my number and reach out not the other way around that's called CUSTOMER SERVICE. The Providence at old Meridian said they were going to reach out we have heard nothing. So I have to live with bugs?? I can't have a maintenance person in I am too nervous since the last retaliatory behavior. I need a weekend appt for all my repairs and the mold in my garage is causing me to get sick. Should I go on?? For the Love of god fix your problems. read more

Similar experience to others in reviews. It's not a well run property. Multiple cars towed with less than 24 hours notice from management, not for improper parking but because they can't or won't be bothered to plan ahead for repairs and give residents advance notice. A window fell off its track and onto my head while sitting at the kitchen table. Multiple outlets were not functional. AC failed. Very little hot water. Management frequently threatens to close the pool. Golf simulator does not work. Wi-Fi issues in the business/cafe center. Staff in the office does not answer when residents call. The building smells like weed. Slow to remove snow in the winter time. Online automatic payment portal breaks down and management will send last minute emails notifying residents of the issue and in that email threaten residents who delay payment as a result of their broken process. read more

If you're thinking about living here read this: I've lived at this place for 2+ years and I am here to tell you that there are much better options. My first few weeks were great and I was able to recruit 9-10 co workers to also live here (which I regret and no longer will be doing moving forward). They show you a "fancy" amenities center. Nikki - I'm happy to forward you my emails to providence management - additionally I have had in person meetings as well as phone calls with no progress. read more

When I first moved in everything was great but so much changed during my 15 month lease I would not recommend this apt building. Honestly, just because of management. It is so hard to reach staff, speak with someone on the phone, set up an appointment, ect. They do not work with you at all either. I needed to set up a move out appointment that they insisted on doing. Even though I specifically said first thing or end of day appointments they would only suggest times in the middle of the day. So I ended up having to take 4 hours of PTO, and when I got there they said that it didn't need to be in person and I could have just dropped off the keys. I insisted on a walk through since I already called off and they made me feel silly for asking for that. We left no damage and never got our deposit returned. That was just one of many frustrating problems all because you can't actually reach anyone during their normal business hours and the office is locked at all times. There are much better places in the area read more

Rented at providence for ~ 3 years. Referred them multiple other people from the hospital I work at. Not a single late rent payment in those years. I broke my lease early for private reasons. As soon as I announced that I need to move out, I was treated completely different. Mrs Rodriguez, the new leasing manager, was consistently condescending, unprofessional and intentional in being unhelpful. Questions about why I am still paying pet rent despite me having moved out and returned my keys (and therefore obviously- no pets living in the apartment) were ignored. Multiple personal and written request to do a final walk-through after returning my keys were denied. Mrs Rodriguez told me that she (even though this is against Indiana state law) would actively try not to re-rent my apartment since she is getting guaranteed rent payments from me. Subletting was refused since "she does not like it". I would highly advise against renting at providence. The apartments are old, and renovations are superficial and only include cover-ups of worn-down interiors. Utility payments are routinely high since the apartments are poorly insulated. The second story apartments vibrate when garages open and close and you will hear every step of your upstairs neighbor. Top floor apartments are insanely hot in the summer despite running AC. Parking lots are way too small and if you get off work late you will go in circles through the complex trying to find a parking spot. The leasing office will not answer the phone and management is unhelpful and disrespectful. The only good note I have for this apartment complex is the location- just rent with one of the dozen other, newer (and more affordable) complexes nearby. I tried contacting Buckingham about my move-out experience via phone, their website and email and never received a reply. I would also recommend reading the numerous recent yelp reviews since negative reviews on other pages seem to disappear rather quickly. read more

The office will literally never answer your calls. Ever. Call them during normal business hours? Never answers. Leave a voicemail? Never get a call back. Urgent maintenance request? Expect it to take forever to get done. The AC never works properly in the summer. Nobody here listens to you or cares about your concerns. You can hear EVERYTHING outside. Literally everything. Do not live here if you work night shift. It's a nightmare. Also they will suck every penny they can out of you. Same things everyone else is saying basically. Seriously do not live here. Take this as your sign. Run!! They say their office is open 7 days a week, but that still doesn't mean they answer their phones. Don't let them fool you, they never do and won't. Also, I do not live here anymore. I moved out due to the above issues. Don't let their response fool you. read more

I'm shocked that Providence has bad reviews! I've lived here for six years and LOVE it. People mention the leasing office and having negative experiences...what?!? Go to the office. Ask for Michelle. She will make it happen! She is absolutely amazing and has been OVERLY helpful every time I go in. When I moved here, one coworker and myself lived here. Now? Nine of my other coworkers live here! And all of them really enjoy their apartments. The trash valet, the amenities, the office staff...all fantastic! Usually Yelp gets it right, but I encourage you guys to check this place out. I think they go toe-to-toe (and exceed!) any other apartments in Carmel! read more

I moved out awhile ago and received a bill for damages. Some of the damages included things that were already broken when I moved in(Which I have videos and photos of with a time stamp). The property manager is awful; so rude. The place was filthy when I moved in. There was hair in the fridge and freezer and dirt all over the bathroom. I needed a new appliance and wasn't informed maintenance would be coming. They entered my apartment with no notice to replace it. The neighbor I had, constant domestic violence, the smoked pot and cigarettes so the hallway constantly smelled like it everyday as well as dirty diapers. She kept trash on her balcony. I thought when I moved here, everything would be great, considering how much they charge for rent and also the area. During winter, my balcony door had ice on the INSIDE; the doors were rusted out and needed replaced. I am stuck with this bill and have called and emailed every day since I received the notice and no one will answer or return my calls! I know they are hoping I either let it go, or that the time will run out so they can collect payment. If I could give 0 stars, I would. It'd be great if the property manager would give me her direct number so I can get this bill taken care of! I'm not paying for the stuff that was already damaged before i got there! read more

Just because it looks nice at the viewing doesn't promise decent living conditions. My roommate and I have had several problems with the management and maintenance. Careful if your getting the 3 floor Carriage House. The rooms do not have proper air circulation. Almost everything was broken or not working when moving in. The fans in the bathrooms either didn't work or sounded like a helicopter was landing upstairs. None of the doors closed. The door to the patio still is not properly sealed and air escapes regularly. The kitchen fan motor went out. Trying to connect to the WiFi is a b****. The dryer was not properly hooked up to the vents. Most of the kitchen bulbs where burnt out. On top of it all they changed which apartment we'd get last moment without telling us. Neighbors are rude and noisy. The children will no get out of the street. The complex put in speed bumps that scrap the bottom of my car every time I go over them. Low riding cars: BEWARE! There is been squirrels biannually nesting in the attic above my room. I submitted a ticket, and they marked as complete without even coming out. When contacting the front office they scheduled pest control to come out. The guy came and looked around and repoted back that they can't reach the area where it is because it was blocked off. No traps where set out and maintenance never followed up. Months of being kept awakee of it scratching into the ceiling, with audio proof, management completely disregarded it. Talk about being stressed to go to sleep. The last straw was recently. I'm glad to say our lease is up in July. It started to get warmer and we noticed the a/c was no longer kicking on. We called the emergency line as it was 90 degrees out and even hotter inside on the third floor. They came out, switched the fitler and charged the a/c. Sounded promising until 3 hours later and nothing changed. We proceed to call three more times and every guy that came out all did the same time. Until the head of maintenance showed up. He told us we had a leak somewhere.... And they'd come back next WEEK to check it out. So we waited in 90+ degrees for a week... and no one came out. Calling again and explaining the whole ordeal, all they did was recharge it. Because "they didn't have the right tools." It's been three weeks now temps reaching 94 and they still stand by that answer. I'm tempted to sleep in the garage at this point. I've hated living here. It looked super promising upon moving it. But alas, it was just a front. The only saving graces is the up to date kitchens, luxury bathtub, and plenty on oddly constructed spacious floorplans. read more

Rented here for over two years and while the apartment unit itself was nice, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The management is quite rude at times and very bad at responding to messages or emails. Once had an incorrect charge added to my account and when I went into the office to resolve it I was treated like it was my problem even though it was a mistake on their end. When it came time for us to resign our lease for the second time, we were given a new rent amount of more than double what we were paying. Rent for our two bedroom apartment was going to increase from around 1,700 to 3,600. No updates were going to be made to the unit to justify this huge increase. After we refused to resign at this ridiculous amount and informed them we would be moving elsewhere, they countered with a MUCH lower amount. It's clear they were trying to rip us off and take advantage of us. The cherry on the top is the huge ant infestation that they never deal with. All of our neighbors complained of ants and even though we were on the second floor, they were terrible. Their only solution to this issue is to have a pest guy come in and spray but this did not help the problem at all. Happy to be out of this complex. read more

Listen. I've lived at my share of apartments and this one ranks up there. I have mixed feelings about this place. There are good things about it but also bad things too. The good is it's a nice apartment complex that's safe, kind of affordable, and comfortable. It's also spacious with close places to eat if your hungry and an okay fitness center. Now for the bad..... Be prepared to pay a minimum of $300 per month for Utilities (I keep my heat at 67 and still end up with a bill of $330). It's consistently cold during the winter and hot during the summer. Duke energy will bleed you dry. I have a gas fireplace in my townhome and guess what... the gas wasn't even installed when built! So the fireplace doesn't work. I hope you like hearing every conversation outside you home. Also enjoy the dogs barking hysterically at 8AM on Saturday morning. Also this shitty pub that is about 80 feet away from your home plays live music outside at the highest volume for everyone to hear until midnight! Doesn't it sound like paradise? If you can overlook the super expensive utility bills, little mistakes that should be fixed, and loud noise that makes you shout at people outside then this is the place for you. Godspeed. read more

I can't believe that an apartment this expensive would have so many problems. Pool and spa were shut down by the board of health for several weeks. Tried to fix our stove 3 different times, but didn't catch that the wire to the burner was shorted. I replaced the stove and the range vent with a newer stove and microwave/hood. Their maint. men took the old units to use for parts. On my move out statement they charged me for all new appliances even though I left mine. Tried to get some kind of explanation from the manager, she did not reply, But turned it over to collections. We are moving back to Carmel but wouldn't even consider moving back to Providence. read more

Absolutely horrible place dirty bugs and spider webs parking is a nightmare can hear everything you neighbors are doing even coughing!

Terrible management, maintenance, and overall unclean. Look elsewhere if you are trying to find a place in Carmel. I have lived here for 9 months and my bedroom window has been broken/unable to close for SEVEN of them. Rent was changed from our initial walkthrough to the signing (5 days later) because "rates can change daily." Biggest waste of money and the only thing the complex will do is apologize. They are not willing to make right on any of the things that they have done wrong. Please do not make the mistake I made by locking in for 12 months with this place. Even after talking out the problems, there is nothing they will do to except apologize and agree that it is wrong. No action read more

I wish I would've taken these reviews to heart before I moved here. It's pretty, but you can't judge a book by the cover. The amenities you'll see on your tour are pretty top-notch; aside from the gym, that I would compare to a hotel gym - low-end equipment, small, busy, all-around miserable. The virtual golf range is pretty neat, the movie theater is nice, and the clubhouse was flashy enough to make me say "Wow, I have to live here." The office staff, though, makes me cringe. Even before I signed my lease, I had trouble getting information from them. I went as far as writing a sassy email to the property management company, and they're as apathetic as the people you see on a daily basis. If you feel like living in a community like this should entitle you to, y'know, like, a little customer service - this isn't your place. I don't expect them to wash my car and walk the dog that I don't have, but dang it, you could at least send me a reply when I email you about move-in dates/times/information. The apartments are nice, and the only reason I'm giving it two stars. My apartment was spotless when I moved in, and the layout is really nice - plus a huge balcony with extra storage. The maintenance staff should be running the whole place, because they're kind and helpful and pretty responsive. Aside from that, I'd echo the other reviews: taking out the trash is a guaranteed hassle, every single time, SUPER thin walls, tricky lease terms. Keep looking for other apartments that are stress-free. This can't be the best that Carmel has to offer. read more

Very clean, safe, well kept complex. It's a little more expensive than competitors, however worth the money. Staff friendly helpful, maintenance quick. Only complex I feel the staff didn't change once I had signed, and I respect that. read more

I lived at the Providence at Old Meridian for a year and half. The location was wonderful. Meijer right across the street, two restaurants within walking distance. Close to the Carmel Arts district. I was very pleased with the location. I loved the layout of my apartment. I would give it an Ok rating because it worked for me. Cons: I agree with the other posts. Very thin walls. The management team wasn't the best. SPIDERS. Woodlouse spiders everywhere! Look them up, they are disgusting. I had never seen this kind before I moved in. I was not a fan of them. Found on the floor mostly. read more

Not worth your money go somewhere else. This place is a joke and will take your money and do not care about tenants.

When I first moved to apt.248, it was full of cobwebs, dirty, dusty and they refused to clean the apt. charged me for everything and I had to hire a cleaning lady to clean apt.and she warned me of mold in the bathroom. Still I rented and didn't miss single payment. There was always sewage blockage and water over running in bathroom and saw mold and dirt. Cleaned and showed to the leasing and maintenance people but none bother to come and check it. After more than a yr. I moved to corner apt 200 which I could not check before I moved in and Chris the property manager said everything was upgraded and fine. When I went to take shower there was no hot water and someone had spilled glue and it was sticky and black. I called Chris, he just sent maintenance guy to turn on the water and nobody cared about spilled glue, none came to check it or how to remove it. Just said I don't know and kept charging my rent. When I called Chris had moved and John new property manager said I don't care. Covid19 came John moved and Lexie was there and she just screamed when I went to talk not much help. In jan. cold weather the shower faucet broke and no water for 3 days, finally fixed and power bill was high they refused to pay. Again happened in feb. flooded my apt just sent an email saying it is fixed called emergency and maintenance guy said DJ didn't want him to go check in my apt 3 days slept on my couch no water most of my clothes and sheets had to be thrown and finally gave my notice. Giselle came to inspect with out maintenance guy, returned the keys and left. Even though it was their fault they took all my advance money just sent me check for 22 cents.I am bitter and angry even the forever stamp cost more than 22 cents. Giselle was very nasty, they just cheat the renters. I never missed single payment and this is how they treated me. Who ever reading this review do not rent apt there. There better and clean and new places you can rent . These old apts with issues and rent is very high. read more

literally the worst effing place to live. a preschooler could run this apartment better than these people can. took us to court only to say everything that was said at court was a lie lol. now we have 4 days to move out because of their shitty management. read more

Terrible place to live. Terrible management. Avoid this place if possible. The appliances are worn and barley work. The windows are cheap and leak cool air. Expect to live within 85 - 90° degree temperatures durring the summer. No working AC. The building smells like a trashbin. If you call to put in a ticket they ignore you. They even threaten to call the police. No one in the office has any business working there. This place is run by jerks. 0 stars. read more

The apartment is nice but management is absolutely terrible. There is also never any staff at the office when needed, on many occasions I've had to call a few different times during the day just to get a response. There is also a trash valet service, which seems nice, BUT they will charge you 25$ if you leave a bag on the ground due to the can being full and only able to hold one trash bag at a time. I was told from management that if I were to have more than one trash bag that I should hold onto the second bag and put it out the next night or take it to the dumpster. My electric bill is always 200$ or above a month no matter what I set my heat to. Overall, I would just avoid this apartment complex. Not worth the time. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Just got charged 540$ (25$ per bag of trash) that was left at my apartment and from a stain on the ceiling that was due to a water leak from the floor above me. This wAs the absolute worst place to live. I would fight the charges but I just want to be done with this GD place. Actually apartments are nice but management is absolutely horrible. I've had nothing but trouble with the management and office staff. There are many other nice apartments in Carmel that I would suggest going to before this apartment complex. I will definitely be moving. read more

Very nice quaint apartment complex. Of course there are some cons but there is to everything in life. I would say it is a bang for your buck. The staff helps with anything you need and are very polite. I don't know why this place has such bad ratings but my experience has been great. Probably won't move for a while! Thanks Providence for the hospitality! read more

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Bad walls. I could hear my neighbor urinate every morning at 6 AM. Highest bills for utilities I have EVER had. And we kept our heat at 58 degrees! They submitted bills to a collection company without ever calling me- of which I had the cashed checks showing I had paid them on time. Now I have a bad debt on my credit score for paying providence on time. Also, water hard as a rock, faucets frozen in place, dryer never worked, etc etc...it was a disaster. read more

There was an error in my rent payment and instead of notifying me to correct the mistake they let me know after a late fee of $175 had occured they were very unhelpful and unforgiving throughout the ordeal. I find the management to be unprofessional and unethical read more
