This review has been several years overdue. Let me first start by saying Robert is a true professional. He takes his work seriously and always uses the best products and equipment. His massage expertise and years of experience reflects in getting the best massage ever. He massages both myself and my husband and we both have totally different body types and problem areas. Every single time, Robert gets the parts that need attention and more. I also want to comment further on Roberts proffesionalim. Something you may notice in Maui, when requesting massages from some therapists, is a bit of a flaky response in returning calls and being punctual. Robert is always on time. Even though we are generally on vacation when were in Maui, we appreciate that our time is respected. We love Maui and getting a massage from Robert is just icing on the cake. Robert is wonderful! He came to our rental & gave us 90 min massages while incorporating hot stones & hot towels. He can accommodate any level of pressure. I highly recommend him & have already booked another visit! read more

Wow! The best massage ever! The combination of heat and deep tissue was amazing. My only regret is that I didn't do earlier in the trip so I could have another massage. Highly recommend! Should be number one activity on your Maui to do list! read more

Robert did such a great work on my stiffed shoulders, not only he work on my painful ankle, arms, he worked all over to relieve the stressed neck and shoulder which he thinks it's the source of problems came from. His magic hands knew immediately where the problem area is without being told. He also told me so much about self care. I definitely would want to come back to him when I'm in the island. read more

If six stars were possible, Robert would deserve it. I have been suffering from chronic neck pain for well over 2 years and spent literally $thousands$ on medical massage (deep tissue, Swedish etc.), acupuncture, cupping, seeding of ears, chrysanthemum tea, travel pillows, traction, chiropractic, self chiropractic, a little yoga, partner's half-hearted attempts at massage-- ok you get it. Here's what I know for sure: I must reduce the stressors in my life and go see Robert! As a patient of chiropractic for over 35 years, I was skeptical about the loyalty and reverence expressed by a family member regarding Robert's ability to provide relief employing a wide range of massage techniques. I was blown away! Robert is a master of his craft. The sheer number of treatment hours he has put in combined with his extensive anatomical studies he quickly identified a pair of previously undiscovered muscles in my neck that were the culprit and source of 90% if my pain. I got amazing relief in my very first 90-minute session. I could have flown to Maui 4 times to be treated by Robert for what I spent on all the other practitioners. Robert observes many of the native Hawaiian customs including the reverence he shows for the well-worn native stones he uses in his practice. While Robert has had a fascinating career journey, this is his true calling. If you live on the island, you are very fortunate indeed! The first thing I will do on my next trip to Maui is to schedule a few treatments with Robert to complete my stay in paradise. Robert no ka oi! Mahalo read more

Best massage of my life and I've had a lot! Robert is a true professional and master of his craft. He went above and beyond in his set up at our hotel, time spent, and making the entire experience a dream. He helped chronic pain issues I've struggled with for years, including the best neck treatment ever. If I'm lucky enough to make it back to Maui again, booking a session with Robert will be one of the first things I do! read more

I came across Robert a couple of years ago at a spa that I have frequented on the island for years. He promised he was a strong therapist and absolutely did not disappoint. I booked an extra massage with him that week and he was the first thing on my itinerary for a recent return to the island. I have worked with a lot of massage therapists and Robert is hands down one of the best I have ever encountered. He runs a tight ship with his mobile business, bringing all the comforts of the spa (and more!) right to your own space. My neck is a disaster and after just one session with Robert my head feels lighter and I experience significant improvement in mobility in that area. Do not pass up on an opportunity to have an amazing massage in the comfort of your own space! read more

One of the reasons I travel to Maui is to get a few massages from Robert. You might think it odd but only if you never experienced Robert's massages. He is truly a great therapist who feels every muscle and joint, and who can help speed up your healing and making you feel great. I know him for about 7 years now, follow him from one spa to another, and each time the quality is excellent. Robert exceeds any high expectations, each time providing me with his full attention, care, kindness, professionalism, and respect. He uses hot towels and hot stones, and different techniques. In other words, if to choose a massage therapist, I would say without any hesitation, choose Robert and you will never be disappointed. read more

Oh my! I don't even know that I can express how amazing Robert is. I stumbled on his spa Near the condo that I was renting in Maui and wanted a massage for relaxation. Robert was my masseuse and it was by far the best massage I've ever had my life. He was able to break down knots and when all was said and done, I felt so much better. He knew that I got migraines based on the type of knots and I had my neck and he suggested things that he has found to help alleviate the headache. His background is fascinating and he has over 500 massages under his belt. I'm so bummed that he doesn't live near me or that I don't live on Maui full-time. Trust me, book him when you are in Maui. He is worth his weight in gold. You will not be disappointed!!! read more

One of many trips to Maui...but this time I decided to try a massage from somewhere other than a resort. I went to Robert and paid for a 90 min massage. He was amazing and worth every penny! On my feet 12 hours a day and work a very stressful job. He used hot steamed towels on my feet and neck. This was super relaxing and literally washed out all the stress. He uses just the right amount of pressure. After returning home from our trip, I still feel like a new person! Guarantee I will be returning to him every trip from here forward. Seriously the best most relaxing massage I have had for a long time. FYI...I've had a lot of massages from resorts and 100% Robert is the only person I will be returning to. DB Washington read more

Robert is the best massage therapist I have found, state side or other wise. I used to visit him here in California and he ended up catering to my every need. After a year he would show up at my residence and give me a custom tailored massage under the stars. Flash forward a few years and I still go all the way to Maui to visit and get worked on. One of the most professional, talented, and caring therapists anywhere. If you have any doubts go see him and let his work do the talking. You won't be disappointed. EVER. He helped me recover from a very painful place and time in my life and I will be forever grateful. Hope that he can do the same for you. read more

I was looking for a massage while in Maui in October. I thank my lucky stars that I ended up seeing Robert's 5 star reviews and booking a massage with him. I went to massage school and was trained in Swedish massage. That is the only massage that I'm familiar with. I've had chronic neck and shoulder issues for as long as I can remember. He not only fixed my aches and pains, he didn't hurt me either. He didn't do a Swedish massage at all, something completely different. He started the massage on my feet, not on my back which felt amazing. He has had years of training and put all his skills to work to give me an amazing massage. He did such a great job, I had another massage by him before heading home. If he lived closer I would be a regular customer. Don't waste your time or money going to anyone else. He is the real deal!! My sister was suffering from migraines and was in Maui at the same time I was. I encouraged her to go see Robert. Within one massage he got rid of her migraines. Of course it depends on each individual person but whatever was causing her headaches was fixed through his hands and knowledge. Robert is worth every penny. Book with him and you will see what I mean. read more
