I've been having back problems for a long time & i've seen a Chiropractor before but after I gave birth my back started hurting even more. So I decided to look on here & see who can help me & was not too far from where I live. I came across Dr. Urban & decided to make an appointment to see what he can do for me. His office is located right across the street from Kmart & above Marcos Grill. I did couple consultations with him including getting an X-ray before I made my decision if I wanted him to adjust my back. I love the fact that he has a pay plan & you can make appointments online, super easy & convenient. I def. recommend Dr. Urban... He's super down to earth & I love the fact that he uses my X-ray to pin point the problems & explains to you in what needs to be done. I've only been seeing him for couple months & so far there has been major improvements esp. my lower back that has been bothering me for some time now. There is lots of parking spaces. read more

Recently saw Dr. Urban. Appreciate what he does for patients, however was disappointed that he chooses not to wear a mask while working with patients. He may not believe in wearing a mask; by not wearing one, he's not doing his part to keep the community safe and feel safe. He's in direct contact with his patients. Don't agree with his view on covid vaccine, along with his view of childhood vaccinations. Will not be scheduling any more future appointments. Wearing a mask is a MUST! regardless of your professional feelings. You are serving the public and in return the public is relaying on you to do your part! to make patients feel comfortable and most importantly SAFE! read more

I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Dr. Urban!! I have 2 great stories to review about. One about me and one about my son. I went to Dr. Urban in Dec. 2015 because I had woken up to so much pain in my neck, back and left arm. I don't know what I did. It was so bad that if I moved my left arm, SHOOTING pain, needles and sensitivity would ERUPT in my entire left arm. From the left side of my neck down to the tips of my fingers. It happened over the weekend, and I saw Dr. Urban on Monday morning. After he reviewed my X-rays, he found the spots that he needed to correct. My first adjustment brought major relief. But my pain was so bad, that it would come back in a couple of hours. During this time, I saw my medical doctor that first Monday morning. Because it was so bad, my nerve doctor recommended surgery on my neck. It was a bulging disc and a pinched nerve. So bad that when the doctor moved my neck while reviewing me it caused it to get worse and tears rolling down my face. Keep in mind, I have a high threshold for pain...so this was really bad. My husband was surprised how much pain I was in and we've been together for 15+ years. I couldn't type on the computer because just moving my fingers would bring shooting needles in my left arm up to my neck. I slept with a neck brace and ice bags all around my left arm & shoulder just so that I could get a few hours of sleep. I would wake up all hours of the night from the pain. Dr. Urban saw me 3 times a week, sometimes twice a day, to help bring relief in my arm. Little by little, it began to get better. I didn't schedule the surgery yet because I was seeing results with Dr. Urban after the first 2 visits. Eventually my pain moved down my arm. Instead of it being from my neck to my fingers, it would move to my upper arm and my fingers, then to my elbow and my fingers, and so on. Until it finally was just in my fingers. Praise God that I found Dr. Urban! I AM NOW PAIN FREE!! And I didn't have to have surgery. No drugs for the rest of my life because of the pain. No surgery to my neck. I am so so happy to be able to not have to take pain killers for the pain and be able to use my left arm again. ---During one of my visits, I told him about my son who has asthma. He said he could fix him. I never thought of bringing my son to a chiropractor for asthma. I was seeing results with my arm, so I figured I'd give it a shot. My son has had asthma since he was 3 WEEKS OLD. He is now 10. My son carries a asthma pump and used it twice a day. He wouldn't participate in P.E. because he wouldn't be able to breathe. He would hold back from riding bike because he would get asthma attacks. We had to teach my older son how to help him if there ever was an asthma attack and mom & dad wasn't around. I took him in to see Dr. Urban and after 2 weeks, my son no longer uses his hand pump. We went home after the first visit (FIRST VISIT!!), and my son went bike riding with is brother. They both came back and were so happy because they could ride bikes for a long time. My boy said he was so happy because now he can play. He would hold himself back from running around, jumping on the trampoline, riding bike, and recess at school because we've had so many episodes of him having an asthma attack that he was scared to get one so he would not participate in things to try and avoid getting an asthma attack. Imagine that....a child not being able to fully play because he can't breathe. It's heart breaking. He still carries his hand pump just in case. (Its more like a security blanket now) But he no longer needs to use it. It makes this mom so happy to not have to wake up in the middle of the night and putting her son on an asthma machine because he can't breathe while he's sleeping. I went to see Dr. Urban because of pain I had in my lower back since giving birth to my first child over 2 years ago. I've never been to a chiropractor before so I was very nervous. Dr. Urban is the chiropractor you need to go see for an adjustment...seriously! If you're looking for a thorough and careful treatment of your spine, he's the one. From your first initial visit, you'll already feel like you don't need to waste your time with anyone else. He has you get X-rays and reviews them with you, shows you on the spine models of what your spine is doing and what it's supposed to look like. I have been carrying this back pain for years thinking it just needs to get massaged out, but it never worked. I finally told my doctor about the back pain and he recommended chiropractic treatment for a month and referred me to a different doctor. From that first initial visit, I knew I had to find someone else. I had been watching YouTube videos and found a doctor using the Gonstead system which isn't just feeling your spine and cracking whatever. I knew I wanted to see a Doctor who uses the Gonstead system to properly treat your back and that's where I found Dr. Urban. He's the only one on island who practices the Gonstead system and has different types of "beds" to use to get the proper adjustment. On top of all of this, he's a really nice, personable guy. I highly recommend Dr. Urban. He's a really nice guy, thoughtful of his patients long term well being, very informative on what going on, patient, and vested in the community. He's really mellow and easy to talk to, and be around. He's also highly athletic. Involved in Jiu Jitsu and various ocean sports, which I relate to. He asked me a lot of questions about my life, my past, and goals in order to get a sense of what exactly it was I needed from him. After my first visit with Dr. Urban he had me do a spinal X-ray which illuminated quite a few quirks in my spine and pelvis due to a life of not taking that good of care of my self. He was even able to ascertain and clear up other health issues I was having that I would have never imagined could be related to my alignment. We set up a plan and a schedule together, and over the proceeding two months or so positive changes occurred exactly how he said they would, where they would. My pops went away and things realigned, my overall health and happiness improved as I regained symmetry. You don't really know your body isn't operating properly if it always felt that way, and it was such a relief to feel better than I knew I could. I had no idea I was in that bad of shape. Dr.Urban has amazing body intuition as well. Prior to adjustments everyday, He would study my back, and be able to find these tiny spots of pain that I would have never been able to detect. Systematically they all got worked out. Overall, He's a great, patient, caring guy..Unfortunately I wasn't the best patient, I missed or came late to a few visits towards the end of our planned treatment schedule, but thats just because I felt absolutely amazing.
