You go in, get loose and limber…read moreon a machine, see the chiropractor for a whole 5 minutes and off you go until the next visit. If you like this option....they offer it as an option. But really, why rob yourself of the full package they offer. Let me take you back to late February when I first met Dr. Katie. (I thank my friend Sharyn for her referral.) We go over the initial patient paperwork and the issues that I have. The initial purpose of the visit was due to the discomfort I had in my lower back and hip area. (I later find out it's because of the chair I had at work.) What shocked me is on this first visit she has me do a few bend here, look hear, do this, do that, as a baseline of my mobility. She then takes an X-ray and we go over her discovery. It's at this point I see how misaligned my hips were (my work chair had an issue of not being leveled), the curvature of my spine and the vertebrae by my neck area that was causing my headaches (thanks to lots of computer work and driving). What shocked me was the excessive bloating I had that I could see clearly on the X-ray. She explained how my digestive system was disrupted because of how my spine was out of whack. We then set a schedule to get my body ready for the lifestyle changes I was about to encounter. Since My first visit, my mobility has changed greatly, the bloating has cut down tremendously, my digestive system is in the best working condition it's ever been. Keep in mind it's not about adjustments. Dr. Katie has supplements and a diet(s) that coincides with the adjustments. I truly believe I could have just stick with the normal, fo in, her adjustments and leave. Along with my weekly adjustments, I'm blessed with weekly texts of mind, body and soul messages. Emails of articles to back up the lifestyle changes I've made. And monthly nutritional check ups to see if any adjustments to my diet is needed that is holding me back from progression. It's a matter of individual choice and I'm more than proud of the positive changes that I've accomplished with the help of Dr. Katie, Dr. Amanda and the office ladies.

Dr. Shana knows various adjustment techniques that are gentle but effective. I've had another chiropractor ignore my instructions not to crack my neck because I have an atlas problem and was told by an upper cervical specialist that I should NEVER have my neck cracked. And so this other chiropractor went ahead and cracked my neck at the very end of my session regardless. So when he did that, I needed to fly to California to have a specialist reposition my neck properly with an Atlas Orthogonal device. Kevin and Shannon operate a business offering infrared sauna, PEMF, and cold plunge services out of the Wailea Healing Center. While it's marketed as a healing environment, what I experienced was serious disorganization, poor communication, and emotional volatility. I'm currently on a medical detox protocol, and regular sauna sessions are a critical part of my healing. After my first session with Kevin, he told me to coordinate payment and future scheduling through Shannon. I texted and called her multiple times--no response. Kevin continued to schedule me and eventually asked me to pay him $200 in cash, which I did. Shannon finally texted me and scheduled two sessions, but on the morning of the first, she canceled--saying it was Mother's Day, despite having booked it herself. I was polite, even though I had organized my day around that session. I then missed the next appointment--just one--after a lengthy medical treatment. I called Kevin to apologize and offered to pay. Instead of responding with empathy or professionalism, he launched into an intense and angry rant, accusing me of being difficult, blaming me for scheduling later in the day, and telling me not to book with him again. His tone was deeply unsettling and completely out of proportion. After that, I contacted Shannon again, but she ignored my text and voicemail, and Kevin made no effort to follow up or assist. Working with them wasn't healing--it was harmful and distressing. To be clear: this review is about Kevin and Shannon only. I met Rebecca, the owner of Wailea Healing Center, and she was lovely. Other services there may be worthwhile--but I strongly recommend avoiding Kevin and Shannon.

I was in so much pain I couldn't breathe. It hurt to lift my left arm, lay on my back, twist, look to the left, even going over bumps in the car was excruciating. Dr. Drew Farrior not only could get me in same day (the very day I arrived on Maui) but within 2 hours. He knew right away what was wrong, did some treatments involving a tens machine and then was so gentile while he did my adjustments. I've been under chiropractic care for decades and typically this issue gets much worse for about 48 hours after it's corrected but Dr. Farrior's technique had me feeling 85% better by the next morning. By the next day I was only a little sore and by day three I was pain free. I wish he wasn't a 7 hour flight away or he would be my forever chiropractor.
