Dr Shana Wasserman in Kīhei is the best chiropractor on Maui. Yesterday I woke up and my back was completely out I could barely move or walk. It was the worst it's ever been!!! I already see her regularly and happened to have a standing appointment that day--thank God. I got to her office and sat with heat, she adjusted me, and then we iced it. I walked out feeling the best I have felt in years. I'm woo woo--she is too. She is a great listener and goes above and beyond. Love her. I finally found a chiropractor that works for me. I've gone to several but Shana Wasserman-Amouyal has been able to make a difference in how I feel. She is able to see me or fit me in when I really need to see her. She is conveniently located at the Dolphin Mall on S. Kihei Road. Dr. Shana knows various adjustment techniques that are gentle but effective. I've had another chiropractor ignore my instructions not to crack my neck because I have an atlas problem and was told by an upper cervical specialist that I should NEVER have my neck cracked. And so this other chiropractor went ahead and cracked my neck at the very end of my session regardless. So when he did that, I needed to fly to California to have a specialist reposition my neck properly with an Atlas Orthogonal device. Stopped in for an adjustment and was very pleased with the ease of making an appointment and felt great afterwards.

I saw Dr. Wasserman through my pregnancy and pop in for the occasional adjustment when my back flares up. She actually takes the time to pinpoint where your pain is coming from so she can adjust you properly. I came running back to her after I went to someone else highly rated that was closer to my home. Dr. Wasserman checks in with you right after adjusting to make sure you feel better, whereas most chiros I have seen just let you walk out of their office without even asking. Dr Shana has fixed me again! This time I was experiencing pain in my upper back, neck, and right shoulder. After just a single session I feel less pain. I have been seeing Dr. Shana for about 5 years, and it started with me going in because my hip suddenly started feeling really uncomfortable and out of whack during my runs. She got my hip back into place no problem, but also helped with long term solutions to both my hip problems and any other things that came up over the years. I find her to be very knowledgeable, personable and flexible with scheduling and contacting (she will text you which is great for my schedule). My lower back started acting up and thought I wasn't going to be able to participate in the race that I had trained so hard for. I have never written a Yelp review but HOLY GUACAMOLE Dr Wasserman thank-you Thank-you THANK-YOU!!! I had been seeing Dr W for a while as I try to recapture lost youth in Tri Athlon competitions (of course at my age it's about "completing" rather than "competing") and she has been absolutely fabulous. HOWEVER, last week after packing and moving boxes and furniture. , THEN camping and sleeping on the ground, my back, neck and ribs were in SEVERE pain. Couldn't raise my arm past shoulder height and couldn't take a deep breath. Called her after 2 days of no improvement, she was able to fit me in that day once she heard the pain I was in. Once I got there she asked several questions, did an assessment adjusted several areas, did a re assessment then re adjustment cause -again SEVERAL PLACES were in serious need of help, snap crackled and popped ribs, back adjusted neck, waved her Phoenix feather wand said some magic wrds( ok I'm making up that last part but that's how incredible I feel) and WHAMO!! Dr. Wasserman is a phenomenal chiropractor and all around healer. I first went to her on the recommendation of a friend when I threw my back out severely. My GP had told me to just go home and take advil. After a week of excruciating pain, I went in to Dr. Wasserman and I was pain free in two sessions. No drugs, no gimmicks, no sales pitches that you have to come back X times to get better. Dr. Wasserman's goal is for you to get better. She will recommend lifestyle adjustments so that you can avoid chronic problems. A few years later, I was having some GI issues and I happened to mention them to her. She said "I can help with that!". To my amazement, she could! I can't recommend Dr. Wasserman more highly than to say I tell everyone I know about her. My girlfriend and I were visiting and she got a stiff neck. This chiropractor was very helpful and friendly and spent a good half an hour on her neck and spine.
