I contacted two independent agents and one brand-name insurance company. I was shocked at the price range for the same coverage. Jason Brofford at Detweiller-Brofford Insurance checked with different companies to get us the best deal, and the insurance he found for us was $1000 cheaper. We accepted pretty quickly! Every year when it's time to renew, Jason again looks around to find us the lowest price for coverage. This year, our policies are with Erie Insurance, top-rated for homeowners Insurance in the August 2017 issue of Consumer Reports magazine. Since then I have been very pleased with his service. Jeff listened to my needs and wants and examined my then current car policy and what my then current carrier (State Farm) had quoted me on my home. GAD uses the services of 13 different insurance companies so, there's a wide variety of choices. Jeff was considerate to only check with carrier that he had had great claims experience with. For me he found Grange offered the same benefits as SF, but the deductible and overall cost was significantly lower. So, of course, I switched. I asked to meet Jeff face to face and he invited me to their offices where I met everyone I'd be dealing with on the phone if I ever had a claim. It made me feel at ease about working with them. Since then, I haven't had any claims, but Jeff gets in contact with me at every renewal period and discusses what has changed with my policies (cost wise) and what direction we should go. If we should look at changing policies or keep the same. He also checks to see if I have any changes I need to update for the policy. I was actually shocked he did this! So, I am very happy with Jeff Levy at GAD and would highly recommend him to everyone. I will update this review if I ever have a claim experience with them!

Doubling as an insurance agency Phillips Properties is also Phillip's insurance. Dave has properties all over the Victorian Village area. If you live her I am sure you have seen his plain signs and tiny office located next to a now defunct flower shop on Dennison and Price. Back in the day Dave Phillips owned blocks of VV. He will be the first to tell you how foolish he was to sell off some of his now prime real estate. The places he has now though are unique and well maintained. I have rented from Phillips for over five years. I will not ever live here and rent from someone else. Crazy character that he is Dave Phillips is an excellent landlord. When my apartment was burglarized Dave Phillips was there with a door and window guy before the cops came. He purposely installed security lights on my building to thwart other thieves. He came out on a weekend to install a new air conditioner for me when mine broke in the dead of August. Dave Phillips regularly repairs my current apartment. He had an electrician come in to rewire my basement outlets when my washer and dryer wouldn't comply. He salts my steps when it snows. He also has saved me many times from being locked out when I would walk to his office and get his master key. His prices are affordable and his places are well maintained. If anything goes wrong he will be there to fix it with in a day. Dave Phillips is a great landlord and an interesting man. Renting with him is the best way to enjoy city living.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and really great with the kids. They freely let them explore the office on their mission and gave them cute prizes when they found it. I was really impressed with how kind they were. The building is really cool too - it is a historic fire station, with informational signage available out front.
