We initially had an appointment on 2/18 to have our consultation & everything went really well. Connie was very helpful and explained what we needed to have. We told her to give us a couple days to gather what we could & that we would be back. On 2/28, I emailed her asking for another appointment so that we could drop off our papers and I never got a reply. I called and her reception said she was with a client & took my message. She finally calls me back a day later. Fast forward to a week later, I dropped off my packet with reception because Connie wasn't in, I asked reception to leave a note to say if there were any issues to please give me a call. I waited 10 days and nothing. I called on 3/24 & once again she was busy (which I understand it's tax season but very unprofessional to never give a call back) but they patch me through to her and I asked her if she's taken a look at my packet. She said she didn't know she had my packet & that she was going to take a look around and call me back. So my packet with my important information was laying there somewhere untouched for 10 days. She calls me back saying she found it and that she would be looking into it. I waited til 3/30 and still nothing from her so I called. Once again she was busy but after telling reception I'd like to pick up my packet, they patch me through to her. I asked her if she started my paperwork and if not I would be stopping by to pick it up and going elsewhere because it wasn't going anywhere. She said she'd leave it with reception. I got there 45 minutes later and my packet was handed back to me, untouched. It was literally banded together exactly how I handed it to her. I'm not sure what the issue is, seems like lack of communication was one of it definitely. Not sure why she didn't take our taxes seriously. The reviews on her page were the main reason why we wanted to go to her. I could've gone somewhere else and gotten everything done instead of wasting my time here with her. read more

Hey Yelpers! So my bud told me about his Tax place a few years back and I was interested but not ready to leave my tax preparer till TACO TUESDAY last night that I had a horror of a time trying to get an appointment at my tax place that I've been going for a very long time and I mean long, but it was a total fail getting someone to talk to me and not yell at me, so I hit up my bud and quickly he said call them and ask for Connie. He had nothing but great things to say about her, so I called and quickly made an appointment for the next day with no issue. I was a bit nervous and excited to go to someone new..... boy oh boy was it the best choice I made and thankful to my bud. PROTAX Cute office decor and building hidden in West Covina, and which was easy to find nearby the WESTCO mall. Connie was friendly kind and patient with me explaining her process along having some fun convo with me. She made me feel special and happy to help me. I have gone to someone's, "Tax person" that end up getting me a bunch of money back, but I have been audited before from people cutting corners. I prefer to break even or get a little money back but I got tired of trying to play the system then getting a bill in the mail 2 years later, so Protax is the place I have gone for years now. Unbelievable!!! Matt at Protax is incredible. I went to him with a HUGE tax problem that was caused by another rogue CPA that vanished off the face of the earth. Matt delivered on EVERYTHING he promised and more. I'm ecstatic!!. He said he would only take my money if he could help me, and he most certainly did. I have been wrangling with this problem for the last 13 years and he took care of it in less than 6-7 months. If you're looking for honest reliable service, you must see Frank Romero, my tax guy. Not only does he do an excellent job and is knowledgable on any and all tax updates, he's also there for you throughout the year! If you're randomly audited and the IRS suddenly gets CRS (can't remember sh*t) about what they owe you; Frank will go over any IRS letters, explain the situation thoroughly and even call them himself. The $195.00 for the long form is worth every penny, because I know I'm covered by Frank's expertise even after my taxes have been filed. He's on top of things and will guide you through any situation that may arise. If you're like me, and like to get things done right the first time, I promise, you won't go wrong with this guy. I must also mention that his secretary is very professional, and will try her best to accommodate you when you need an appointment. I can tell you some tax horror stories before I found Frank, but there's not enough time, as I must get back to work.
