Service was adequate, I'm used to being able to have a conversation with the barber. This was not the case, nor seemed to be the encouraged. My cut was very different than what I was looking for. Again possibly because of communication boundaries I may have been misinterpreted, or I may have given the wrong directions. Either way, the end result was not a cut I would ever get. Yesterday I went online and schedule a shave and face massage with one other barbers (David); the appointment was today at 9:50. I arrived at their location at 9:45. I went in and only saw one barber (female), so I sit down thinking that my barber was maybe in the back or something. She finished her customer so I stood and asked for David. She said that he wasn't there. I mentioned that I'd scheduled a 9:50 with him; she said that she was the only one there. But she could take me as soon as she finished with another customer. I said "no thanks" and I left. If you are going to encourage online appointments then I'd suggest to have someone manager the platform. You were very clear that if I didn't make my appointment time that after 10 minutes you would charge my card. Do I get $10 for wasting my time/gas to come to your location only to be stood up? Walked in after brunch on a Sunday and was seen almost immediately. Super efficient and got exactly what I asked for. My barber (wasn't able to catch her name) asked me for feedback to make sure I was getting what I wanted and adjusted accordingly. I loved this place so much. Very nice Lithuanian lady cut my hair and was very good and caring.

I've had my hair cut here the last 3-4 times, but on the last occasion, a new person cut my hair (male in his 30s with glasses) - unfortunately he did a bad job cutting my hair way too short in the back, because he did not see that my hair grows in a different direction there. My hunch is that he had to "change" the style of the haircut once he had cut the back shorter than required, or else my hair would be all spiky. It was a bad experience specially because in previous occasions I had had my hair done by this lady that was really good at it and with the same instructions did a wonderful job understanding my hair growth patterns and not overcutting where she shouldn't. Other than that, prices are good, service is good, and the massage is excellent. read more

Searched for men's stylists to find a place closeby for a good beard trim. I walked into Prostyles to find Freddy the only barber and to my delight he had a beard too. I knew he'd "get it" and his level of care reflected that. He has a careful touch and is sensitive to the needs of anxious clients. He did exactly what I told him to do and everything looked exactly the way i had imagined --- except for my mustache which looked BETTER lol I left with my beard looking the best it's ever looked. I absolutely will return to the same barber for my next touchup. The cut was only $15 so i just had to tip well lol. read more

Very pleased with my experience. Freddy is an artist. He takes his time and pays very close attention to detail. Hes got tremendous focus, taking and perfecting one area at a time. When I go in to get a haircut, I do not seek to converse with the person cutting my hair, as I feel it forces them to engage their thoughts elsewhere, resulting in a loss of focus and sloppy work- a problem with most barbers I've had. This is not the case with Freddy. He is quiet, but gets the job done right. My favorite part was the end where he placed two warm towels around my neck and head, and then applied a shoulder massage tool onto my neck and shoulders. I am not too sure what purpose that served but it felt far too good to complain. He is also the more affordable barber I've seen in the area. Will be returning going forward. read more

I drive all the way from Buckeye to that specific Barber shop just for Milda!! She is absolutely amazing. I have tried other barber shops and it's been a hit and a miss. NEVER with this shop and never with Milda. She pays attention to detail, is very clean with her cut, and always remembers my cut when I walk in. Truly love this place!! As long as she is there I will continue to make the drive just to go to that shop!! And don't get me wrong, that shop is full of outstanding barbers. Before I started cutting hair myself, Mark (who owns and operates ProStyles) is the only person I would trust to cut my little boy's hair. Mark is an amazing barber with his back east flavor and way of business. He knows his stuff; you tell him your vision and he will make it happen. He even hooks you up with massage when you're all done. His prices are great. If I remember correctly you get a discount Monday through Thursday. Friday's can get pretty packed in there anyway. If you are looking for a new barber and live work or play in the downtown, midtown, or uptown area I suggest giving ProStyles a try. Look them up on Facebook and Twitter for promotional specials and any changes in schedules due to holidays and what have you. Don't be scared just because Mark is almost bald either. They have awesome customer service and did a fantastic job on my husband, 3 year old, and even my 10 month old! I was amazed at how precise and careful they were with my boys; proof that they're skilled professionals! We got right in on a Saturday morning, but apparently this place is popular with the locals because by the time my guys were all cleaned up there was a steady stream of customers waiting in line. They pay very close attention to detail, especially around the ears and neck. My husband's haircut included a neckline shave, hot towel wrap and shoulder massage. The same barber that cut my husband's hair also cut my baby's hair AND he gave us advice on stuff to do in the area while we were in town! I take my 5 year old son here for his cut. It can be a little wait, but it worth it. These guys take their time to get cuts looking fresh. I have them cut my son's hair 'hipster' style with a shaved part. My son wishes they would be quicker, he says 'It's gonna take a looonng time.' Haha. Hands down, best barber in Phoenix. Found them about 5 years ago. I have been to dozens of hairstyle places in the valley. They listen, and get it right the first time. They also remember you and after the first 3-4 times you really don't even have to explain what you want, they just confirm same as last time and get it done. Have gotten several haircuts here, they do a decent job. Nothing special. The real problem is how long it takes. I've never waited less than twenty minutes. Sometimes it's as much as forty. And they seem to spend thirty plus minutes on each haircut. That seems like a reasonable amount of time... For a woman's haircut. But this is a barber, and that is just too long in my opinion. All the guys are nice and like I said, they all do a decent job. But unless you're coming in on your day off you may not like using your entire lunch break for a haircut. read more
